Colorlib’s Calvin is a website template aimed at designers who want to present services, skills, and client feedback in a portfolio. Its official page lists a sticky menu, testimonials, a logo slider, skill bars, a services section, and optional Google Maps integration. Those are the publisher’s feature descriptions, not independently verified results for responsiveness, performance, SEO, or usability.

What Calvin is—and who it may suit

Colorlib describes Calvin as a clean, creative designer portfolio website template that can be used out of the box or configured. It may suit a designer who wants a ready-made structure for introducing their work and services rather than starting with a blank page. Whether its layout fits a particular portfolio depends on the work being shown and the customization options available in the current offering.

Colorlib also describes its layouts as flexible across devices and platforms. The page credits Unsplash for images. These are product-page claims; the available information does not establish measured device compatibility, loading speed, or image-use rights for a specific portfolio.

Features listed on Colorlib’s page

  • Sticky menu: navigation intended to remain accessible as a visitor moves through the page.
  • Services section: a place to outline the work or services offered.
  • Skill bars: visual indicators for presenting skills.
  • Testimonials: a section for client feedback.
  • Logo slider: a moving display of logos, which could be used to show client or partner marks if the user has permission to use them.
  • Google Maps integration: Colorlib says a map can be used to showcase a location.

These descriptions do not establish how each feature is implemented, what editing tools are required, or whether a particular feature can be removed without code changes. Check the live product page and available files before choosing Calvin for a project with specific technical requirements.

Check the license and purchase terms before using it

Colorlib’s page labels Calvin’s license as CC BY 3.0 and also presents paid single, membership, and lifetime options associated with support, updates, and template access. The page-displayed prices surfaced for those options were $19, $129, and $349, respectively; prices and terms can change. Verify the current license conditions, what each tier includes, and the price on Colorlib’s Calvin page before downloading or paying.

Do not assume that a displayed price or the license label alone answers every reuse question. Review the current terms for attribution requirements, permitted projects, redistribution, support, and updates, especially if the portfolio is being built for a client or will be part of a commercial project.

How to decide whether Calvin fits your portfolio

  1. Map the template sections to your content. Decide whether you need a services section, skills presentation, testimonials, client logos, or a location map. Avoid adding sections that do not help a prospective client understand your work.
  2. Inspect how the portfolio itself is presented. The listed features do not specify project-gallery structure or case-study layouts. Confirm that the current template files support the way you need to show finished work, process, and outcomes.
  3. Test the editing workflow. Check what software, coding knowledge, or configuration is needed to change text, images, colors, and layout. The page’s description of a configurable template does not, by itself, establish how customization works.
  4. Review display behavior on your target devices. Colorlib describes the layout as flexible across devices, but no measured compatibility or performance results are established. Preview your own content at mobile and desktop sizes before publishing.
  5. Compare the current license and total cost with your needs. Review the live license and the terms of any paid tier, including what support, updates, and template access are included.

Two similarly named templates are not the same product

Colorlib’s Calvin should not be confused with Kalvin – Personal Portfolio Template, a separate ThemeForest product by cosmos-themes. The similar name does not make the products interchangeable, and specifications for one should not be used to fill gaps in the other’s listing.

What is unclear about Calvin’s release date

Colorlib’s page metadata shows July 10, 2024, while its template details say “Released: September 2026.” Those dates conflict, so the release chronology is unclear. Do not treat September 2026 as a confirmed release date without clarification from Colorlib.
