ByteDance is not only the company behind TikTok. Its official corporate portfolio describes more than a dozen products and services across short video, editing, commerce, collaboration, gaming, content discovery and immersive technology.

The twelve names below are a practical, representative selection of brands and products ByteDance publicly associates with its portfolio. They should not be treated as a definitive company-published list of exactly twelve: ByteDance says “more than a dozen,” while its public materials do not establish a canonical twelve-item roster. China-market and international products also use different names, and a product brand is not the same thing as a legal subsidiary.

The 12 ByteDance brands and products at a glance

This table groups the names ByteDance identifies across its global and China-market offerings. “Primary role” is a high-level description rather than a claim that any service is available in every country.

Brand or product Primary role Market context What to know
TikTok Short-form video and content discovery International markets A global consumer platform with a distinct U.S. operating arrangement announced in 2026.
CapCut Video creation and editing International markets and other regions A creator tool in the same portfolio; its U.S. safeguards are included in the TikTok USDS announcement.
TikTok Shop Social commerce Selected markets Availability, seller rules and features vary by country.
Lark Workplace collaboration International markets A collaboration product; do not confuse the product name with Lark Technologies Ltd., a legal entity.
Pico Immersive technology and virtual-reality products Availability varies by market ByteDance’s portfolio includes Pico, while the corporate disclosure names Pico Immersive Limited as an entity.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mobile gaming International gaming markets A game brand in ByteDance’s named product suite, not a social-video service.
Toutiao Content discovery and news-style information China market A China-market offering; access and language are not equivalent to the international TikTok experience.
Douyin Short-form video and content discovery China market The China-market counterpart in the portfolio is a separate service from international TikTok.
Fanqie China-market digital content service China market ByteDance lists the name, but the supplied corporate description does not provide an itemized feature sheet.
Xigua China-market video and content service China market A separate China-market brand rather than simply another name for TikTok.
Feishu Workplace collaboration China market Its name and market positioning differ from Lark, although both are associated with ByteDance’s collaboration business.
Douyin E-commerce Commerce connected to Douyin China market A China-market commerce offering distinct from TikTok Shop’s country-specific operations.

Why these are not all interchangeable

ByteDance’s portfolio covers several business categories. TikTok and Douyin are short-video platforms, but they serve different market environments. Lark and Feishu are collaboration products, yet their names reflect different regional offerings. TikTok Shop and Douyin E-commerce connect commerce to their respective video ecosystems. Pico addresses immersive technology, while Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is a game.

That variety matters when someone asks whether ByteDance “owns” a particular app. A portfolio relationship can mean a consumer-facing brand, a regional service, a product operated by a related company, or a legal entity listed in corporate disclosures. Those labels should not be treated as synonyms.

Global products and services

TikTok

TikTok is ByteDance’s best-known international consumer brand. Its primary function is short-form video publishing and discovery. The service is presented as a global offering, but country-specific regulation, app availability and operating arrangements can change the practical experience.

For U.S. readers, the ownership question requires a date and jurisdiction. A January 23, 2026 announcement from TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC says a U.S. joint venture was established to operate required safeguards. The announcement states, “ByteDance retains 19.9% of the Joint Venture.” That figure describes ByteDance’s announced stake in the U.S. venture; it is not a statement that ByteDance owns only 19.9% of every TikTok operation worldwide.

CapCut

CapCut is ByteDance’s video-creation and editing product. It serves a different job from TikTok: a person can use an editing tool to make or prepare video without treating the editor itself as a social network. ByteDance’s January 2026 U.S. announcement says the safeguards described for the joint venture also cover CapCut, Lemon8 and other U.S. apps and websites. That is a U.S.-specific operational statement, not a universal description of CapCut’s ownership in every jurisdiction.

TikTok Shop

TikTok Shop is ByteDance’s commerce offering associated with TikTok. It brings product discovery and transactions into a social-video environment, but the exact seller tools, checkout method, product categories and availability depend on the country. A listing in ByteDance’s global portfolio therefore does not guarantee that a reader can use TikTok Shop from a particular location.

Lark

Lark is ByteDance’s internationally oriented collaboration product. It belongs in the portfolio because it addresses workplace communication and coordination rather than entertainment. The product name should be kept separate from Lark Technologies Ltd., which appears in ByteDance’s corporate-structure disclosure as a related legal entity.

Pico

Pico represents ByteDance’s immersive-technology business. It is associated with virtual-reality hardware and software, although the materials available for this article do not identify a specific current headset model, accessory, price or retail program. Treat Pico as a portfolio brand, not as evidence that one particular device is sold in every market.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is the gaming entry in this selection. Its inclusion demonstrates why a list of ByteDance brands should not be reduced to video apps: the company’s named suite also includes interactive entertainment. The available corporate description identifies the game as a global offering but does not provide a current release schedule, player count or platform-by-platform specification.

China-market products and services

Toutiao

Toutiao is listed among ByteDance’s China-market products. It is associated with content discovery and information distribution, making it different from both Douyin’s short-video identity and the company’s workplace tools. Readers outside China should not assume that the service is available, localized or regulated in the same way as an international ByteDance app.

Douyin

Douyin is ByteDance’s China-market short-video platform. Although its role resembles TikTok’s, it is not simply a translated app name. The two services operate in different market and regulatory contexts, so user accounts, features, content rules and commerce functions should be checked separately.

Fanqie

Fanqie appears in ByteDance’s official China-market portfolio list. The corporate material supplied for this overview names the product but does not render an itemized feature description. The safe conclusion is that Fanqie is a ByteDance-associated China-market digital service; claims about a specific format, audience, subscription model or availability require a current first-party product page.

Xigua

Xigua is another China-market content and video brand named by ByteDance. It should be treated as its own service rather than as a regional label for TikTok. The available portfolio description does not establish a current international launch, user figure or complete feature list.

Feishu

Feishu is ByteDance’s China-market collaboration offering. It occupies a similar business category to Lark, but the names should remain distinct because regional product branding, deployment options and service terms can differ. Calling Feishu “the Chinese version of Lark” without a current source would oversimplify the relationship.

Douyin E-commerce

Douyin E-commerce is the China-market commerce service associated with Douyin. It belongs beside TikTok Shop in a comparison because both connect ByteDance’s video ecosystems with shopping, but they are not one globally uniform storefront. Merchants and buyers must rely on the rules and availability published for their own market.

Brands versus ByteDance legal entities

ByteDance’s corporate-structure disclosure lists ByteDance Ltd. and related entities including Douyin Group, Lark Technologies Ltd., Pico Immersive Limited and TikTok Ltd. These names help explain corporate organization, but they are not a replacement for a product list.

  • Product or service: a user-facing offering such as TikTok, Lark or Pico.
  • Brand: the name used to identify an offering in a market, which may differ by region.
  • Legal entity: a company or subsidiary shown in corporate disclosures, such as TikTok Ltd. or Pico Immersive Limited.
  • Operating arrangement: a structure governing a particular jurisdiction, such as the U.S. TikTok joint venture announced in January 2026.

One company can own, operate, license or reorganize products through several entities. Consequently, a search result that shows a subsidiary’s name does not by itself prove that every similarly named consumer service has identical ownership everywhere.

What the January 2026 U.S. announcement changes

The TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC announcement dated January 23, 2026 is a jurisdiction-specific qualification to broad statements about TikTok ownership. It says the joint venture operates U.S. safeguards and that ByteDance retains 19.9% of the venture. It also says those safeguards cover CapCut, Lemon8 and other U.S. apps and websites.

Use the announcement’s wording precisely:

  • It establishes an announced U.S. joint-venture structure.
  • It gives ByteDance a stated 19.9% retained stake in that venture.
  • It does not provide a blanket percentage for ByteDance’s global portfolio.
  • It does not turn every product in the table into a U.S. joint-venture company.

How to verify a ByteDance ownership claim

Ownership questions become less confusing when you check the claim in a fixed order.

  1. Identify the exact product and market. “TikTok,” “Douyin,” “Lark” and “Feishu” are not interchangeable names.
  2. Check a current first-party product page. Confirm that the service is still listed and note the country or language context.
  3. Check the corporate disclosure. Look for the legal entity, while remembering that an entity name is not necessarily the consumer brand.
  4. Separate ownership from operation. A joint venture, local subsidiary or regulatory arrangement may govern operations in one jurisdiction.
  5. Attach dates to changing claims. The 19.9% figure belongs to the January 23, 2026 U.S. announcement and should not be presented as timeless.
  6. Do not infer missing details. If a source lists Fanqie or Xigua without describing features, say that the feature or availability is not established rather than guessing.

Bottom line

ByteDance’s portfolio is substantially broader than TikTok. A representative twelve-name view includes global services such as TikTok, CapCut, TikTok Shop, Lark, Pico and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, alongside China-market products such as Toutiao, Douyin, Fanqie, Xigua, Feishu and Douyin E-commerce. ByteDance itself describes more than a dozen products and services, so this selection should not be mistaken for an official exhaustive list. The most important qualification for current readers is jurisdiction: in the United States, a January 2026 announcement describes a joint venture in which ByteDance retains 19.9%, while global product relationships and corporate entities require separate verification.
