The Bumbleride Indie Twin is a 29.5-inch-wide, 36-pound side-by-side stroller with air-filled tires, suspension and a manufacturer-listed combined capacity of 90 pounds. Its width may make it easier to navigate than a wider double, but it is still heavy to lift and its folded footprint needs a real check against your vehicle and storage space. This review uses Bumbleride’s US specifications; the stroller was not independently tested.
What the Indie Twin is—and what the specifications tell you
The Indie Twin places two seats side by side. Bumbleride positions it for twins and two young children, with a wheel and suspension setup aimed at varied terrain. The figures below are the manufacturer’s listed specifications for the current US model, accessed October 7, 2026; they are not independent measurements.

Will it fit through doorways and in your car?
Doorways and routes
At 29.5 inches wide, the Indie Twin has a defined width to compare with your narrowest doorway, gate, elevator entrance and frequently used shop aisle. Bumbleride describes it as fitting through a standard doorway, but “standard” does not cover every building or doorway. Measure the tightest route you actually use, and allow for handles, trim and turning space rather than relying on the label alone.

Storage and loading
The one-step fold and standing-fold design are manufacturer claims; no independent fold test was performed. The folded package is 33.5 × 29.5 × 14.5 inches, and the stroller weighs 36 pounds. Check both the cargo-area dimensions and the height and angle at which you would need to lift it. A stroller can fit inside a trunk on paper yet be awkward to get through its opening or lift repeatedly.
How do the wheels and suspension suit everyday use?
Bumbleride lists four 12-inch air-filled tires and all-wheel suspension. That setup is designed with rougher routes in mind, but the manufacturer’s “smooth” or “cushioned” descriptions are not independent handling findings. Think about where you walk most—pavement, packed paths, gravel or uneven sidewalks—and whether inflatable tires and their upkeep make sense for those routes. Bumbleride lists an air pump as included; actual handling, puncture frequency and maintenance needs were not independently assessed.
Can newborn twins ride in it?
Reclined infant mode
Bumbleride says each seat can be adjusted independently into infant mode without attachments. That gives families a newborn configuration to investigate without buying bassinets, but check the current manual for the exact setup and suitability for your babies before use.

Separate bassinets
The separately sold Indie Twin Bassinet is listed for use from birth until a child reaches 19 lb (8.5 kg) or 30 in (75 cm). Bumbleride says one or two bassinets can be mounted on a compatible Indie Twin and recommends them for “naptime walks and supervised sleep.” The manufacturer lists the bassinet as compliant with ASTM F-833, SOR/85-379 and EN 1888; that is the manufacturer’s stated compliance, not an independent assessment of certification records or safe-sleep guidance.
Bumbleride lists the bassinet at $269 on the page accessed October 7, 2026; the price may change. Its listed dimensions are 32 × 12.25 × 9.5 inches unfolded (23 inches to the canopy top) and 32 × 12.25 × 8.5 inches folded. The page lists a 19-pound capacity and 5.5-pound weight; its accompanying metric weight does not convert consistently, so confirm the weight with Bumbleride if it matters to your decision. Check compatibility by model year
Bassinet mounting depends on the stroller’s model year. Bumbleride says 2024-and-newer Indie Twin models have Hot Shoes preinstalled. Models from 2016 through 2023 require Hot Shoe sets; two sets are needed to mount two bassinets on those older models. Confirm the year and required parts before buying a used stroller or bassinet.

Can you attach two infant car seats?
Bumbleride lists adapters for Clek, Maxi-Cosi, Cybex and Nuna seats, including a single adapter and a set. The cited information does not establish which exact infant-seat models are supported, so check Bumbleride’s current compatibility chart or FAQ for your car-seat model. Do not assume a seat attaches directly to the stroller frame or that a generic adapter will work.
Is the capacity 90 pounds per seat?
No: Bumbleride lists 90 pounds as the total capacity for the stroller, not as a limit for each seat. The cited product information does not specify the individual-seat limit, so do not divide the combined figure and treat the result as an approved per-child limit. Ask Bumbleride or check the current manual for the applicable seat limit. The basket is separately listed with a 20-pound capacity.
What should you know about ownership and warranty?
Included items and warranty scope
Bumbleride lists an air pump and wrist strap as included. Its product page describes a lifetime frame warranty and one year of coverage for fabric components, tires and inner tubes. The support page says those parts and accessories are covered for manufacturer defects for one year from purchase. Exclusions apply, so read the warranty terms linked from the product page rather than interpreting “lifetime” as coverage for the entire stroller. The Bumbleride support page also provides manuals and warranty information.

Bumbleride says each stroller uses 90 recycled plastic water bottles, that solution dyeing saves approximately 25–40 gallons of water per black stroller, and that its 4ocean partnership removes 5 pounds of plastic and trash per stroller purchased. These are manufacturer-reported figures, not independently verified environmental measurements.

Model year affects bassinet mounting, and the serial number and manufacture-date label can help identify the stroller. Bumbleride’s FAQ gives different label-location instructions for 2016–2019 and pre-2016 models; for pre-2016 Indie Twin models, it says to check beneath the center handle support bar or on the brake assembly bar. The FAQ also describes its safety-alert and recall-registration process. Its guidance is at Bumbleride’s FAQ. The information here does not establish the stroller’s complete recall history; check current official recall records using the specific stroller’s details.

Who is the Indie Twin best suited to?
It is worth considering if you want a side-by-side layout, need a stroller that is 29.5 inches wide, and expect to use air-filled tires and suspension on routes where that setup is useful. It is a less obvious fit if frequent lifting is a concern, your vehicle has limited cargo space, or you need a confirmed per-seat capacity or a specific car-seat combination that has not been checked. Before deciding, verify doorway clearance, folded storage, your regular lift into the car, and the newborn configuration you plan to use.
