To cancel BritBox, use the account or platform that bills you. If BritBox bills you directly, cancel in your BritBox account; if Apple, Google Play, Roku, or Amazon bills you, cancel through that provider instead. First identify the biller on your statement or in its subscription settings, then complete the cancellation and verify its status.
Find out who bills your BritBox subscription
Check a recent card or bank statement and the subscription-management accounts you may have used. The company collecting payment controls where you cancel. BritBox’s US terms direct subscribers billed by BritBox to My Account and subscribers billed through a third party to that provider.

- Apple: Look for an Apple receipt and confirm which Apple Account made the purchase. If you cannot find an Apple receipt, Apple advises checking your statement to identify the billing company. Apple’s cancellation guidance
- Roku: Check my.roku.com/subscriptions. Roku charges may appear as “Roku,” “Roku for ___,” or “The Roku Channel.” Roku subscription guidance
- Google Play or Amazon: Check the Google Account or Amazon account you may have used to subscribe, as well as your statement.
Cancel through the company that bills you
If BritBox bills you directly
- Sign in to BritBox and open My Account.
- Open Account Details or the equivalent account settings and choose the cancellation control.
- Follow the prompts through the final confirmation. BritBox’s US terms direct direct-billed subscribers to cancel in My Account. The interface labels reported by Tom’s Guide are My Account > Plan & Billing > Cancel Subscription; labels may vary, so rely on the account’s final cancellation status.
If Apple bills you
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings and tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions, then select BritBox.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm. Apple says that if the Cancel button is absent or a red expiration message appears, the subscription is already canceled. See Apple’s instructions.
If Google Play bills you
- Sign in to the Google Account that holds the subscription and open Google Play subscriptions.
- Select BritBox, choose Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts.
- Check the subscription status afterward. Uninstalling the BritBox app does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Google Play cancellation guidance
If Roku bills you
Check Roku’s subscription list and confirm the charge on your statement. Use the current Roku subscription controls to cancel BritBox, then verify the status there. BritBox’s US terms establish that third-party-billed subscriptions must be canceled through the provider; the precise current Roku cancellation screens for BritBox are not established here.

If Amazon bills you through Prime Video Channels
Use the subscriptions or channels management controls in the Amazon account that pays for BritBox, and verify cancellation in that account. BritBox’s US terms establish the third-party cancellation rule, but the exact current Amazon steps for BritBox are not confirmed here.

When cancellation takes effect
For subscriptions covered by BritBox’s US terms, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, not immediately. If you have paid for the current period, access continues until it ends. BritBox says payments are nonrefundable and it does not provide a refund or credit for a partially used period. Cancel before the next renewal to avoid another subscription fee. These payment and refund terms are specific to the cited US terms and should not be assumed to apply in every region. Google Play likewise says subscribers retain access for time already paid. Roku says canceled subscriptions with time remaining stay usable through the period’s end, and that a free trial must be canceled before it ends to avoid recurring charges. Google Play guidance · Roku guidance

If you cannot find a cancellation option
- BritBox has no cancel control: The subscription may be billed by another provider. Check your statement and the subscription accounts you may have used; cancel with the biller.
- Apple does not show BritBox: Check the receipt and the Apple Account used for the purchase. If there is no Apple receipt, use your statement to identify the billing company.
- Google Play does not show BritBox: Confirm you are signed in to the Google Account that holds the subscription.
- Roku does not show BritBox: Check your statement for Roku billing and review the Roku subscription list.
- You think cancellation is complete: Verify the status in the billing provider’s account. In Apple’s interface, a missing Cancel button or an expiration notice can indicate that it is already canceled.
