Brick by Brick: Tidy Up the Small Town! arrives on Steam on October 15, 2026. PaperPixel Games, an independent studio based in Turkey, describes it as a calm cleanup-and-restoration game in which players collect, sort, transport and place 18,490 bricks to rebuild a small town. It supports solo play and online co-op for up to five players.
What is Brick by Brick?
Brick by Brick: Tidy Up the Small Town! turns town restoration into a hands-on logistics task. Instead of designing buildings freely from an empty plot, players work through a defined cleanup and rebuilding process: find scattered bricks, organize them, carry them to the right locations and place them to restore damaged structures.
The central figure is 18,490 bricks, a number cited in PaperPixel Games’ 2026 launch materials and reported by Game Chosun and Inven Global. That scale gives the game a deliberately methodical loop: progress comes from repeatedly turning disorder into a visible, finished part of the town.

How the restoration loop works
Collect and sort the bricks
Players begin by gathering bricks around the town and sorting them for later use. The work is closer to organizing a construction site than to a speed-running challenge: the objective is to keep materials manageable and prepare them for the next stage.
Move materials to construction areas
Once collected, bricks must be transported to the buildings being repaired. A handcart is one of the reported tools, allowing players to move larger quantities in a trip instead of carrying every brick individually.

Build upward with scaffolding
Scaffolding provides access to higher parts of buildings. Its inclusion indicates that restoration is not limited to ground-level placement; players must set up access and continue construction vertically as structures take shape.
Pull in nearby bricks with the magnet
A magnet attracts nearby bricks, reducing the amount of manual walking and pickup work when materials are spread around a work area. The tool is part of the game’s progression-oriented equipment rather than a separate combat or puzzle system.

Watch the town change
The payoff is visual restoration. Buildings become more complete as the piles of materials are sorted and placed, giving each work session a clear before-and-after result.
Solo and five-player online co-op
Brick by Brick can be played alone or online with up to five players total. In co-op, the team can divide the workload instead of having everyone perform the same task.

|---|---|---|
| Solo | One player | One person handles collecting, sorting, carrying and placing. |
| Online co-op | Up to five players | Players can split collection, transport and construction duties across the town. |
The reported five-player limit is a total group size, not five additional teammates. The available information confirms online co-op but does not specify local split-screen support, cross-platform play, matchmaking rules or whether every activity is available in exactly the same way for solo and co-op sessions.

Launch messaging emphasizes calm organization, visible restoration and cooperative satisfaction rather than competition. The development team told Game Chosun that it focused on “the satisfaction that comes from organizing bricks and restoring buildings one by one, and on cooperative play, rather than fast competition or time limits.”

That positioning matters because it sets Brick by Brick apart from cleanup games built around countdowns or score attacks. The available launch information does not identify a timer, leaderboard or racing mode, so players should approach it as a relaxed task-management experience rather than a reflex challenge.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How Brick by Brick differs from freeform building games
The game’s defining activity is restoration through sorting and placement. Freeform construction games generally give players broad control over what to design and where to build; Brick by Brick instead centers on returning a prepared small town to working order.
| Feature | Brick by Brick: Tidy Up the Small Town! | Freeform construction model |
|---|---|---|
| Primary loop | Collect, sort, carry and place bricks to restore buildings | Design and construct projects with broad creative freedom |
| Multiplayer | Solo or online co-op for up to five players | Varies by game |
| Pacing | Calm, organization-focused play; no reported time-pressure emphasis | Varies from relaxed to timer-driven |
| Progression tools | Handcart, scaffolding and magnet are reported features | Depends on the individual title |
Who is likely to enjoy it?
- Players who find satisfaction in sorting, carrying and completing visible work.
- Small groups looking for cooperative tasks that can be divided naturally.
- Anyone who prefers a measured restoration project to a timed challenge.
- Players interested in tool-assisted progression, including carts, scaffolding and a brick-attracting magnet.
It may be a poor fit for someone seeking unrestricted architectural design, competitive scoring or high-pressure time trials, because those elements are not the focus described for launch.
