BrenX Ltd. said on October 15, 2026 that its 32 MWh bGen thermal-energy-storage system at Tempo Beverages reached approximately 85 tons of steam per operating day during commissioning. That is about 15 tons per day, or roughly 21%, above the project’s approximately 70-ton-per-day base case and minimum contracted take-or-pay level. Commissioning is not complete, so the result is an operating milestone rather than proof of sustained commercial output or realized incremental revenue.

What BrenX reported at Tempo

The reported result concerns the bGen system installed for Tempo Beverages, an industrial facility that uses steam in its operations. BrenX described output of approximately 85 tons per operating day while the system was still being commissioned.

The project’s financial model was built around approximately 70 tons of steam per operating day. BrenX equates that contracted minimum and base-case assumption to approximately 19,000 tons per year. The comparison is therefore between an early commissioning result and the minimum volume used in the project’s original model, not between two independently audited annual production figures.

How 85 tons compares with the model and Tempo’s demand

Measure Reported figure What it means
Commissioning output Approximately 85 tons of steam per operating day Highest operating-day result disclosed in the October 15, 2026 announcement; commissioning was ongoing.
Project base case and contracted minimum Approximately 70 tons per operating day The minimum take-or-pay volume used in the financial model.
Base-case annual equivalent Approximately 19,000 tons per year BrenX’s stated annual equivalent for the 70-ton-per-day case.
Tempo’s stated steam demand Approximately 90–100 tons per operating day The range BrenX says it is targeting to replace in full.
Tempo system size 32 MWh The bGen thermal-storage capacity identified for this project.

At 85 tons per operating day, the system is approximately 5 tons below the low end of Tempo’s stated demand range and 15 tons below the high end. BrenX’s target remains full replacement of that 90–100-ton demand, so the disclosed figure is above the contractual base case but does not yet equal the company’s stated replacement target.

What the 70-ton base case means for BRNX investors

The 70-ton figure is more than a planning estimate: it is also described as the project’s minimum contracted take-or-pay level. In a take-or-pay arrangement, the customer generally commits to pay for an agreed minimum quantity even if it does not use the full amount, subject to the actual contract terms. The announcement does not publish the contract price, payment formula, operating schedule, or margin.

If output above that minimum can be delivered and sold under the project’s commercial terms, the additional steam could create revenue above the original model. That is potential upside, not company guidance. BrenX did not report realized incremental revenue, a revised forecast, or a change to the project’s economics based on the 85-ton result.

Has BrenX proved that 85 tons per day is sustainable?

No. The result was announced during commissioning, and the available disclosure does not include an independently audited sustained-output time series. It also does not report a completed customer acceptance test or confirm that 85 tons per operating day has been maintained across a representative period of weather, production schedules, maintenance, and steam demand.

Commissioning results can change as controls, integration, storage charging, steam delivery, and customer operating procedures are tuned. The next meaningful evidence would be completion of commissioning, customer acceptance, commercial-operation status, and operating data showing whether the system can repeatedly meet its contracted minimum and approach Tempo’s full demand.

Why the demand comparison matters

Tempo’s facility is said to consume approximately 90–100 tons of steam per operating day. BrenX is targeting full replacement of that demand with the bGen system. The 85-ton result therefore indicates substantial coverage, but not complete coverage at the range disclosed by the company.

The remaining 5–15 tons per operating day could reflect the difference between current commissioning performance and the eventual target, or could require supplemental steam from existing equipment. The announcement does not specify how the shortfall is being handled, whether it is temporary, or whether the system’s final design output is capped below the upper end of demand.

How the Wolfson project fits the pipeline

BrenX also reported groundbreaking and civil works for a separate 12 MWh bGen system at Wolfson Medical Center. That milestone shows another commercial deployment moving into physical construction, but it is not evidence that the Tempo system has achieved sustained output, nor does it establish Tempo’s revenue or cost performance.

BrenX describes itself as a NASDAQ-listed developer, owner, operator, and optimizer of integrated industrial energy infrastructure centered on bGen thermal storage. The Wolfson project and the Tempo commissioning update are separate deployments with different customers, capacities, operating requirements, and schedules.

What to watch in the next updates

  • Commissioning completion: confirmation that the Tempo system has moved from testing into commercial operation.
  • Customer acceptance: evidence that Tempo has completed the contractual acceptance process.
  • Sustained output: a time series or operating history showing performance beyond a single commissioning result.
  • Demand coverage: whether production consistently reaches the 90–100-ton target range or remains near 85 tons.
  • Financial disclosure: recognized revenue, incremental revenue above the 70-ton minimum, cash flows, and any change to the project model.
  • Execution risks: BrenX has warned that completion, sustained production, commercial operations, customer acceptance, financing, demand, technology, regulatory, supply-chain, and geopolitical factors could cause actual results to differ.

Bottom line for the October 15 update

BrenX’s approximately 85 tons of steam per operating day at Tempo is a positive commissioning datapoint because it is above the project’s approximately 70-ton base case and contracted minimum. It is not yet proof of sustained performance, full replacement of Tempo’s 90–100-ton demand, or additional revenue. Those conclusions require completed commissioning, customer acceptance, and operating and financial evidence that BrenX has not disclosed in this update.
