Boost Mobile announced a partnership with Mike Tyson on October 15, 2026, launching its national “What’s Your Plan?” advertising campaign. The campaign uses Tyson’s plan-and-punch persona to criticize hidden wireless fees, unexpected rate increases, long contracts and confusing fine print, while promoting Boost’s $25-per-month unlimited plan with no contract.
What the Boost Mobile and Mike Tyson campaign is about
The campaign presents complicated wireless pricing as something that can “get you punched in the mouth.” Tyson appears in comedic advertising spots built around a recognizable plan-and-punch line that ends with the question, “What’s Your Plan?” Boost’s stated message is that customers should receive a straightforward, lower-cost wireless option rather than be surprised by fees or rate changes.
Boost Group President Bob Rupczynski described Tyson as a fit for the company’s positioning: “Mike Tyson represents raw authenticity, resilience, and power, the exact energy we are bringing to the wireless industry.” Rupczynski also said the campaign is intended to advocate for customers and show up in the neighborhoods Boost serves.

What Boost is offering
The consumer offer highlighted in the announcement is Boost Mobile’s $25-per-month unlimited plan with no contract. The campaign materials emphasize the monthly price, unlimited service and absence of a contract. The announcement does not establish additional plan details such as data-priority rules, hotspot limits, taxes, fees, device requirements or eligibility conditions, so prospective customers should check the current plan terms before enrolling.

When and where the campaign will run
The planned national flight runs from mid-October through December 2026. Marketing Communication News reports that Boost’s in-house team created the work with independent creative and production company Little Big Engine.

Why Boost chose Mike Tyson
Boost’s stated rationale centers on Tyson’s authenticity, resilience and lasting cultural recognition. His public image gives the campaign a literal way to dramatize the idea of being hit by an unexpected bill or restrictive contract. Fierce Network also places the partnership in Boost’s broader history of working with prominent figures from sports and entertainment.

The celebrity partnership arrives as Boost attempts to reinvigorate its wireless business after subscriber declines. Fierce Network reports a customer base of 7.38 million and approximately 118,000 subscribers lost in the second quarter of 2026, compared with 9 million customers in 2020. Those figures come from the trade publication, not from Boost’s announcement, and should not be treated as campaign-performance results.

Mike Tyson Invitational
Boost is sponsoring the Mike Tyson Invitational on October 24, 2026, with additional events planned in 2027. According to the announcement, the youth program supports athlete travel, education programs, coaching and competition infrastructure.

The initiative also includes localized neighborhood activities and community-support efforts. Planned activities include backpack giveaways, although the announcement does not provide a complete schedule or eligibility rules for each location.

Boost plans to bring back its nationwide 12 Days of Boostmas sweepstakes as a holiday extension of the campaign. Specific prizes, dates and entry requirements were not provided in the announcement.

What the announcement does—and does not—prove
The October 15 announcement confirms the partnership, campaign name, advertising window, media channels, $25 no-contract unlimited offer and community extensions. It does not disclose a campaign budget, verified reach, conversion rate, subscriber gains, customer-acquisition cost or other business outcomes. Any assessment of whether the Tyson campaign improves Boost’s subscriber trends will require results reported after the campaign has run.
For customers, the practical takeaway is narrower: the advertising directs attention to a $25 unlimited, no-contract plan, but the headline price alone does not describe every service condition. Review the current plan documentation for taxes, fees, network-management policies, device compatibility and any promotional restrictions before switching.
