Shattered Station has three tracked collectibles: two Secrets and one Purity Seal. Secret 1 is in the rocky trench behind the first weapon room, the Purity Seal is behind a cracked wall after you obtain the Boltgun, and Secret 2 is inside the Red Sigma room after you shoot its high wall switch. The critical progression sequence is the green console, the remote switch across the gap, the red key and Red Sigma door, the Purge encounter, and Thunderhawk extraction.
This guide follows the route documented in walkthrough updates dated October 15, 2026. Your later rooms can differ if you select the paired alternative operation on the deployment map, so confirm your branch before applying instructions beyond this level.
What changes when you start the operation
Shattered Station is the first proper level of Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2. Its collectible tracking is fixed for the level, but the campaign route around it is not completely fixed. On the deployment map, paired operations exclude each other. Choosing the alternative branch changes subsequent rooms and can make a later walkthrough sequence inapplicable.

The referenced campaign route selects Nurgle Nightmare on Novoza, Frozen Terror on Amara Mors, and Forged in Battle on Erythine. The chapter order on that route is:

Crucible is optional. If your deployment map shows the paired alternative instead of one of the operations above, treat the campaign context as different; the Shattered Station collectible locations and immediate objectives described below remain the focus here.

Opening section: turn back for Secret 1
Find the altar-chamber doorway
Advance until you reach the doorway to the altar chamber where the first Boltgun is obtained. Do not continue through the level immediately after reaching this landmark. The collectible is behind you, not in the chamber itself.
Follow the trench
- At the altar-chamber doorway, stop and turn around.
- Scan to the left side of the path, next to the rock wall.
- Look for a blood-stained trench running through the rocky ground.
- Follow the trench until you see a floating golden laurel wreath.
- Walk directly into the wreath. The game displays “SECRET DISCOVERED.”
The laurel wreath awards +50 Faith. The trench is the important visual cue: if you are looking only at doors or weapon pickups, you can pass the side path without noticing it. Once the wreath has registered, return to the altar-chamber route and continue toward the weapon pickup.

Activate the green terminal
Pick up the first Boltgun in the altar chamber. Continue to the green terminal beside the first door and activate it. This opens the courtyard exit and starts the next combat section.

Clear the courtyard and identify the opposite room
Defeat the courtyard Autogun Cultists. When the area is clear, locate the small room opposite the cultists’ position. The Purity Seal is not exposed in the courtyard and is not on the terminal; it is hidden behind that room’s rear wall.
Shoot the cracked panel
- Enter the small room opposite the courtyard encounter.
- Face the rear wall and look for the visibly cracked wall panel.
- Shoot the cracked panel with the Boltgun.
- Move through the opening into the revealed alcove.
- Collect the floating Purity Seal.
The game confirms the pickup with “YOU DISCOVERED A PURITY SEAL!” and awards +50 Boltgun ammo. The wall must be damaged with gunfire; simply searching the room or walking against the panel will not reveal the alcove.
Main route: the gap, remote switch, and Red Sigma key
Follow the damaged corridor
After the courtyard and Purity Seal room, proceed through the damaged corridor. Cultists occupy the route, so clear them before attempting the traversal section. You will reach a broken section that must be jumped.

After the jump, watch for the Servitor’s direction. It points out a remote switch on the far side of the gap. Aim across the gap and shoot that switch when it is indicated. This is a ranged interaction rather than a switch you reach by crossing the broken section.

Take the red key from the lower recess
Continue after the remote switch opens the route. The red key is in a lower recess. Collect it, then retrace your route to the red-symbol door. The key and the door are intentionally separated, so picking up the key does not finish this objective until you return to the matching entrance.
Red Sigma room: Secret 2 and the weapon enhancement
Open the matching door
- Return to the door marked with the Red Sigma symbol.
- Activate the red key console at the door.
- Enter the room and stop before moving on to inspect the walls.
The Red Sigma key is the prerequisite for this secret. If the console does not respond, verify that you collected the red key from the lower recess rather than assuming the room is bugged.
Shoot the high wall switch
Inside the Red Sigma room, look high on the wall for a small glowing square switch. It is above normal eye level and can be easy to miss if you search only at floor height. Shoot the switch.

The shot lowers a panel beneath the switch. Do not search around the switch itself for the reward: the opening is at floor level below it. Move to the lowered compartment and collect the glowing green weapon enhancement. The pickup triggers the second “SECRET DISCOVERED” confirmation, completing Secret 2 of 2.

The available walkthrough information identifies the item as a green weapon enhancement but does not establish a specific weapon statistic or effect. Collect it for the secret-tracking requirement, then continue through the Red Sigma route.
Finish the Purge encounter and reach extraction
Activate the red-symbol door control
Once the Red Sigma room objective is complete, use the door’s control and prepare for the Purge encounter. Clear the encounter before searching for the next panel; the level’s progression continues through the combat space rather than from the earlier green terminal.
Survive the later Chaos Terminator encounter
Advance through the following rooms until you have completed the later Chaos Terminator encounter. The extraction sequence does not begin at the Red Sigma door, so do not return to the initial area expecting the Thunderhawk immediately after collecting Secret 2.

Trigger the Thunderhawk
- After the Chaos Terminator encounter, activate the green panel.
- Return to the exposed platform.
- Wait for the Thunderhawk’s rear ramp to open fully.
- Walk inside the aircraft through the open rear ramp.
- Use the glowing exit inside to complete extraction.
Standing on the platform before the ramp opens does not finish the level. The final interaction is the glowing exit inside the Thunderhawk, after the ramp has opened and you have boarded.

How to verify 100 percent collectible progress
Use the game’s confirmation messages rather than relying on memory of the rooms. The first laurel wreath should produce one “SECRET DISCOVERED” message, the cracked-wall alcove should produce “YOU DISCOVERED A PURITY SEAL!”, and the Red Sigma compartment should produce the second “SECRET DISCOVERED” message. The associated rewards are +50 Faith for the laurel wreath and +50 Boltgun ammo for the Purity Seal.
If one of those confirmations is absent, identify the landmark you passed:
- No first Secret: return to the altar-chamber doorway and inspect the left-side blood-stained trench behind you.
- No Purity Seal: revisit the small room opposite the courtyard Autogun Cultists and shoot the cracked rear wall panel with the Boltgun.
- No second Secret: reopen the Red Sigma door with the red key console, shoot the high glowing square, and inspect the lowered floor-level compartment beneath it.
The three confirmations cover the tracked collectible set for Shattered Station: two Secrets and one Purity Seal. Extraction is a separate completion requirement, handled only after the Purge and the later Chaos Terminator encounter.
Branch-sensitive campaign planning
Shattered Station’s immediate landmarks are straightforward, but campaign planning matters when you leave this level. Because paired operations on the deployment map exclude one another, choosing a different operation can send you through different rooms afterward. The route listed here—Nurgle Nightmare, Frozen Terror, and Forged in Battle—should therefore be treated as one branch, not a universal chapter order for every save.
For a full-clear run, collect Secret 1 before taking the first Boltgun route forward, collect the Purity Seal immediately after opening the courtyard exit, and collect Secret 2 when the red key brings you to the Red Sigma door. Then complete the Purge, survive the later Chaos Terminator encounter, and use the Thunderhawk’s interior glowing exit. That order keeps every collectible tied to its natural landmark without delaying the extraction trigger.
