The BOB Revolution PRO Duallie is an older, sport-oriented double stroller whose documented features include a hand-operated rear brake, adjustable handlebar, pneumatic tires and adjustable suspension. Those features may suit caregivers who want a stroller for outdoor use, but they do not establish how it performs on hills, fits in a car or accommodates two children. No hands-on testing is available here, so treat this as a model-and-buyer guide rather than a performance review.
What the Revolution PRO Duallie offers
BOB Gear’s May 7, 2014 announcement described the PRO Duallie as having a nine-position adjustable handlebar, hand-activated rear drum brakes, a swivel front wheel that can lock forward, pneumatic tires, adjustable suspension, a five-point harness and a low-boy cargo basket. These are the manufacturer’s feature descriptions, not independently measured findings. BOB Gear’s 2014 announcement also quoted its product manager describing the earlier Revolution SE as combining durability and maneuverability; that statement is promotional context, not evidence of this Duallie’s tested performance.
How to judge the hand brake and steering
Hand brake and hills
A hand-activated rear brake is a potentially useful control feature on slopes, but the available product information does not establish stopping distance, braking force, or how the brake feels with two children aboard. Before relying on it for a particular route, inspect the brake on the exact stroller and follow its manual. Consider whether the caregiver can comfortably operate the brake while maintaining a secure grip and using the wrist strap as instructed.

Swivel or locked-forward front wheel
The front wheel is described as able to swivel or lock forward. A swivel setting is intended for maneuverability; a forward-locked setting is the relevant mode to check for running, subject to the exact manual’s instructions. The feature list does not quantify turning effort or running stability, so compare those in person if possible rather than assuming the stroller will handle like a newer model.

Ride, child fit and everyday practicality
Tires and suspension
BOB listed pneumatic tires and adjustable suspension, features associated with outdoor-oriented strollers. The announcement provides no controlled ride comparison or terrain-specific performance data. On a used stroller, check tire condition, inflation and suspension operation; worn or damaged components can change the experience and may need attention.
Age and weight information
Britax Römer’s product-support listing describes the stroller as suitable for children from 6 months to 3 years and displays 17 kg. The listing does not clarify whether 17 kg is a per-child or combined limit. Do not infer a seat-by-seat rating from that abbreviated display: find the instructions matching the stroller’s model and serial number and follow the limits and recline or age rules stated there. Size, folding and lifting
The available official information cited here does not establish verified width, folded dimensions, stroller weight or trunk fit. Measure the particular unit, including its folded configuration, and check it against doorways, storage space and your vehicle before buying. If purchasing used, test folding and unfolding and assess whether you can lift it safely.

BOB’s retired user-guide page identifies Revolution PRO Duallie model EB000001 and higher, for 2014 and newer units, and serial U62185000001 and higher. Use the stroller’s own model and serial identifiers to select the correct instructions; do not assume a manual for another Revolution version applies. BOB Gear’s retired user guides explains what to do if an older manual is missing.

BOB’s product resources include Duallie replacement instructions for handlebars, seats and canopies, and reference brake-lever replacement instructions for Revolution PRO strollers. These instructions do not establish that every listed part fits every year or serial range. Match the part to the exact stroller before ordering, and confirm current availability directly with the manufacturer or an authorized parts source. BOB Gear support and product resources is the official starting point.
Safety checks before using or buying one used
- Record the identifiers. Find the model and serial number on the stroller and match them to the appropriate PRO Duallie guide.
- Read the matching instructions before use. Britax’s instructions say to familiarize yourself with the stroller before using it with a child. Follow the specified age, weight, recline, brake, wheel and harness directions for that unit.
- Use only approved accessories. The instructions state: “Use no accessories that are not approved by BRITAX for use with the BOB Revolution® PRO Duallie®.” Do not assume that an accessory for another BOB stroller is compatible. Britax Römer’s support page links to the instructions.
- Inspect operation and condition. Check the brakes, wheel lock and swivel, harness, folding mechanism, tires, suspension, frame, seats and canopy. If a safety-related part is damaged or its operation is uncertain, do not use the stroller until the issue is resolved.
- Check manufacturer safety notices. Use the stroller’s identifiers to check the manufacturer’s safety notices. The information cited here does not establish the recall status of an individual unit.
What the original price and availability tell you
BOB announced an original 2014 Duallie price of $709.99 and described initial REI exclusivity followed by sales through select outdoor and bike retailers. That is historical launch information, not a current price, inventory check or indication that replacement parts remain available. The original announcement is useful for identifying the product’s launch context, not for estimating what a used stroller is worth today.

Who should consider the PRO Duallie?
It may be worth considering if you specifically want an older double stroller with a documented hand brake and adjustable front-wheel mode, and you can verify the individual unit’s condition, correct manual and child-fit limits. It is a less straightforward choice if you need confirmed dimensions, current part availability, or proven performance on your terrain: those points are not established by the available manufacturer descriptions. Compare the exact stroller in person and make the purchase conditional on identifying and inspecting it.
