Short answer: The boAt Airdopes Plus 221, 222 and 224 have nearly identical headline hardware: Bluetooth 6.0, IPX4 protection, 13 mm drivers, up to 60 hours of claimed playback and 55 ms BEAST Mode. No controlled test in the available material establishes a winner for sound, comfort, microphone quality or real battery life. Choose the model that is currently cheaper and in stock, then confirm its exact features, seller and return terms.
The meaningful differences are practical: the 221’s support page documents Multipoint and SBC/AAC codecs; the 222 and 224 product pages advertise Spatial Audio; and the 224 page gives contradictory microphone counts. None of these models should be bought for listening ANC: boAt explicitly says the 221 has no Active Noise Cancellation, while AI-ENx is described for environmental noise reduction during calls.
At a glance: what actually separates the three models
On paper, this is a specification tie more than a performance contest. All three list Bluetooth 6.0, IPX4 water resistance, two 13 mm drivers, a 600 mAh charging case, 40 mAh batteries in each earbud, USB-C charging, up to 60 hours of music playback and 55 ms BEAST Mode. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements.

For the 221, the detailed figures come from boAt’s official support page. The 222 figures are documented on its support page and product page. The 224 information comes from its official product page.
#1 Best Overall
“Up to 60 hours” is a maximum claim. It does not promise 60 hours from one charge, and the 224 page attaches its figure to 60% volume. Actual runtime changes with volume, codec use, call time, gaming mode and the number of recharge cycles.
boAt Airdopes Plus 221: the clearest documented feature set
What the 221 lists
The Airdopes Plus 221 support page lists Bluetooth 6.0, IPX4 protection, two 13 mm drivers, up to 60 hours of music playback, a 600 mAh case and 40 mAh per earbud. It specifies 100 minutes for a full case charge and 35 minutes for the earbuds, with a stated 10-metre transmission range. Charging uses USB Type-C.
For wireless formats, the same page names SBC and AAC. It also lists two AI-ENx microphones and 55 ms BEAST Mode. The support material says Multipoint is enabled by default, which is the only one of these three models with a clearly documented Multipoint setting in the cited sources.

What the 221 does not have
The support page gives an unambiguous answer about listening noise cancellation: “No. Airdopes Plus 221 does not have Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).” Read that as a limitation for airplane cabins, trains and other steady external noise. AI-ENx is a separate microphone-processing feature intended to make your voice clearer on calls; it does not create an isolation effect for music playback.
Who should consider it
The 221 is the logical choice when you need documented Multipoint, AAC/SBC support or the lowest verified local price. Its listed specifications do not prove better sound or battery endurance than the newer-numbered models, so do not pay extra solely for the 221 name or its codec listing.

boAt Airdopes Plus 222: Spatial Audio at the middle position
Documented hardware and features
The official 222 support information lists Bluetooth 6.0, IPX4, 13 mm × 2 drivers, up to 60 hours of music playback, a 600 mAh case, 40 mAh batteries in both earbuds, 100-minute case charging and 35-minute earbud charging. It also lists two AI-ENx microphones and 55 ms BEAST Mode.
The product page additionally advertises Spatial Audio. “Spatial Audio” is a processing or presentation feature, not a measurement of wider soundstage, stronger bass or higher fidelity. The available material does not include a controlled listening test, supported content list or independent assessment showing how effective it is.
Observed price and the price caveat
The official 222 page displayed ₹1,099 in the search material captured on 13 October 2026. That is a live-page observation, not a guaranteed current price, sale price or minimum price. Check the page again before ordering, and verify whether the seller, color, stock status and return policy apply to the exact listing you are opening.
Who should consider it
Choose the 222 when it is meaningfully cheaper than the 224 and you want the product page’s Spatial Audio claim. If the 221 costs less and Multipoint matters, the 221 may be more useful. If both are close in price, compare return terms and seller reliability rather than assuming the 222 sounds better.
boAt Airdopes Plus 224: similar core specifications, unresolved microphone wording
What the official page says
The 224 product page lists Bluetooth 6.0, IPX4, two 13 mm drivers, up to 60 hours at 60% volume, a 600 mAh case, 40 mAh per earbud, 100 minutes for case charging and 35 minutes for earbud charging. It advertises Spatial Audio and 55 ms BEAST Mode.
Rank #3
The microphone-count conflict
The 224 page is internally inconsistent. Its specification table says there are two AI-ENx-equipped microphones, while the page’s FAQ and descriptive copy say four microphones. Because those statements disagree on the manufacturer’s own page, do not treat “four microphones” as a settled advantage and do not infer superior call quality from it. Ask the seller or manufacturer to confirm the hardware revision if microphone count is important to you.
Observed price and buying context
The official 224 page displayed ₹1,199 in the material captured on 13 October 2026. Availability and price can change, so use that figure only as a comparison point. A ₹100 difference from the observed 222 price may be worthwhile if the 224 listing has better stock, returns or a verified feature set, but it is not evidence of better audio or endurance.
AI-ENx is not ANC: the distinction that prevents a bad purchase
Manufacturers often use several noise-related terms on the same product page. They describe different jobs:
- Active Noise Cancellation (ANC): microphones detect outside sound and an audio system generates an opposing signal for the listener. It is designed to reduce environmental noise while you listen.
- Environmental Noise Cancellation (AI-ENx): microphone processing attempts to reduce background sound captured during a voice call. It primarily affects what the other person hears.
- Passive isolation: the ear-tip seal physically blocks some sound. Its effectiveness depends on fit and ear shape.
The 221 support page explicitly says ANC is absent. The cited 222 and 224 material does not establish ANC, so you should not assume that either model offers it because AI-ENx appears in the specifications. If quiet listening in noisy transport is your priority, these models are not documented as ANC earbuds in the available official information.
Price, stock and seller checks before you order
Price is the most defensible tie-breaker because the listed hardware overlaps heavily and no independent three-way test establishes a performance leader. Treat the observed figures as dated snapshots:
Rank #4
| Model | Official-page price observed | What the figure means |
|---|---|---|
| Airdopes Plus 221 | Not established in the cited material | Refresh the official or local listing |
| Airdopes Plus 222 | ₹1,099 | Displayed during the 13 October 2026 page check; can change |
| Airdopes Plus 224 | ₹1,199 | Displayed during the 13 October 2026 page check; can change |
Before paying, check these details on the exact product page:
- Confirm the model number in the title, specifications and checkout summary. Similar names and product images are not enough.
- Check whether the listing is in stock and whether the shown price is a temporary promotion, coupon-dependent amount or regular price.
- Read who supplies the item, the warranty process and the return or replacement window.
- Make sure the box contents, color and charging cable match the listing.
- Save the invoice and page details in case the delivered model has a different specification or revision.
Which model fits each buying priority?
You want the cheapest acceptable option
Compare the live prices of all three at the same time. Because the shared driver, Bluetooth, case and playback claims are so similar, the lowest total price from a reputable seller is a rational choice, provided the return and warranty terms are acceptable.
You switch between a phone and a laptop
The 221 has the clearest documented advantage: its support page says Multipoint is on by default. The cited sources do not state Multipoint support for the 222 or 224. Do not assume that a newer model includes it; verify the exact manual or support page before buying.
You want Spatial Audio listed on the product page
The 222 and 224 pages advertise Spatial Audio. The 221 support page cited here does not state that feature. Treat the label as a software feature claim, not proof of superior music quality, and check whether your phone and apps use a compatible mode.

You make frequent calls
The 221 and 222 pages list two AI-ENx microphones. The 224 page cannot be given a reliable count because its specification table and marketing copy conflict. None of these figures is an independent call-quality test. Look for a return option and test calls in your normal environment during the allowed period.
Best Value
- It can be a gift option
- Comes with secure packaging
- Helpful in various ways
You play mobile games
All three list 55 ms BEAST Mode. That number is a manufacturer claim and does not guarantee identical audio-video synchronization in every phone, game or Bluetooth environment. Enable the mode only when needed, because low-latency processing can affect power use or sound processing.
You exercise outdoors
IPX4 indicates protection against water splashes; it is not an invitation to submerge the earbuds or use them in heavy rain. Wipe them dry, keep the charging case away from moisture and follow the manufacturer’s care instructions.
You need long trips between charges
All three advertise up to 60 hours, but the claim is a maximum. The 224 page specifies 60% volume, while the 221 and 222 pages do not attach that same condition in the cited material. Volume, calls, gaming mode and battery age can reduce runtime. If endurance is critical, buy from a seller with a practical replacement policy rather than selecting by the headline number alone.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsHow to verify the earbuds after delivery
A short acceptance test can catch a wrong model or defective unit before the return window closes.
- Photograph the sealed package and the model label before opening it.
- Pair each earbud separately, then together, and confirm the Bluetooth name matches the ordered model.
- Check that both earbuds charge in the case and that the USB-C connection is stable.
- Play a familiar track at moderate volume and listen for channel imbalance, crackling or dropouts.
- Make a call in a quiet room and then in normal background noise. Ask the other person whether your voice is intelligible.
- Test BEAST Mode with a game you actually play, rather than relying only on the advertised 55 ms figure.
- If Multipoint is important and you bought the 221, follow its support instructions and confirm that two devices remain connected as expected.
- Record the battery percentage, volume and test duration. This is not a laboratory benchmark, but it gives you evidence if the earbuds drain unusually quickly.
- Keep all packaging until you are satisfied with fit, charging and call behavior.
What the available evidence cannot tell you
The official pages provide specifications and marketing claims, not a controlled comparison. They do not establish which model has the most accurate tuning, strongest bass, best seal, clearest calls, most comfortable fit or longest real-world battery life. Ear shape, phone software, codec negotiation, volume and listening habits can change the result.
No independent market statistic or named study was identified that ranks these three models. A headline such as “best TWS under ₹999” is not proof that every model currently sells below ₹999; the official pages observed for the 222 and 224 showed higher displayed prices. Use such listicles as discovery tools, then verify the live listing and specifications yourself. One example is Digit’s feature naming all three models, which should not override current seller information.
Final buying decision
Start by checking the current price and stock for the exact 221, 222 and 224 listings. Pick the 221 when documented Multipoint or SBC/AAC matters and its price is competitive. Pick the 222 when it is cheaper than the 224 and you specifically want the product page’s Spatial Audio claim. Pick the 224 only after confirming the current listing and deciding that its price, availability or Spatial Audio listing justifies the difference; do not pay more based on the unresolved microphone count.
