The newly reported Rex Infernus side Easter egg gives you the Necrofluid Gauntlet through Dravakar’s anvil. To claim it, collect all three Wonder Weapon parts in the forest, open Dravakar’s inner sanctum, then sacrifice Pack-a-Punch level 1 weapons representing every standard weapon type. The anvil accepts only one weapon type per round. Once the final type is accepted, Dravakar leaves a Pack-a-Punch level 1 Necrofluid Gauntlet on the anvil.
What you need before using Dravakar’s anvil
This is a side objective within the broader Rex Infernus quest, not a random wall-buy or ordinary Mystery Box drop. The forest portion comes first: collect the three Wonder Weapon parts, then return to Dravakar’s Sanctuary and open the inner sanctum. The forest prerequisite is described in the Rex Infernus quest route published by Dexerto.
- Access to the forest area.
- All three Wonder Weapon parts collected.
- Dravakar’s inner sanctum opened.
- Pack-a-Punch level 1 weapons covering every standard weapon type.
- Enough rounds to make one sacrifice per required type.
How to get the Necrofluid Gauntlet
- Reach the forest. Advance through the Rex Infernus quest until the forest is available.
- Collect the three Wonder Weapon parts. Do this before attempting the anvil sequence; the quest route places the parts ahead of the return to Dravakar’s Sanctuary.
- Open Dravakar’s inner sanctum. The anvil objective takes place inside this restricted area, not at the ordinary Sanctuary entrance.
- Prepare the sacrifices. Upgrade weapons to Pack-a-Punch level 1 and assemble a set that represents each standard weapon type. The discovery report does not establish a universally confirmed item-by-item list, so do not assume that an unlisted special weapon will substitute for a standard category.
- Use the anvil once per round. Place one qualifying weapon type at Dravakar’s anvil. After that sacrifice is accepted, play through the next round before offering another type.
- Repeat for every type. Continue the one-per-round cycle until Dravakar has accepted all required standard weapon types.
- Collect the reward. After the final type is placed, Dravakar puts a Pack-a-Punch level 1 Necrofluid Gauntlet on the anvil. Pick it up directly from the anvil.
What should you sacrifice?
The currently reported requirement is category-based: one Pack-a-Punch level 1 weapon for every standard weapon type. The community discovery post that revealed the sequence does not provide an authoritative, patch-proof table of exact names, and it warns that special weapons may not count.
| Requirement | Current status | Practical guidance |
|---|---|---|
| Pack-a-Punch level | Reported as level 1 minimum | Upgrade each sacrifice weapon at least once before bringing it to the anvil. |
| Weapon coverage | Every standard weapon type | Bring distinct categories rather than several weapons from the same category. |
| Special weapons | May not count; unconfirmed | Use ordinary weapons for the category sacrifices until the interaction is confirmed by a patch or repeatable testing. |
| Timing | One sacrifice per round | Plan ammunition, points and survival around a multi-round setup. |
Because the exact category list and special-weapon exclusion come from a contemporaneous community report rather than an official Activision or Treyarch guide, treat both details as provisional. A game update could change the accepted categories, the upgrade requirement or the timing rule.

Why the Necrofluid Gauntlet matters
The gauntlet is useful beyond the reward animation. PowerPyx’s Ashes of the Damned guide uses it to shoot and absorb three keys, then carry those keys to a triangular rock. The same guide states that reloading automatically replenishes the gauntlet’s ammunition, so you do not manage it like a conventional weapon with a permanently shrinking reserve.
Common mistakes and how to avoid them
Trying to sacrifice several weapons in one round
The reported interaction is deliberately paced: one weapon type per round. If the anvil has already accepted a sacrifice, continue the round and return after the next round begins.

Bringing un-upgraded weapons
The discovery report specifies Pack-a-Punch level 1. Upgrade the weapon before presenting it; a base weapon can fail even when its category is otherwise correct.

Special weapons are specifically flagged as possibly invalid. Until that uncertainty is resolved, reserve them for combat and bring standard weapons for the sacrifices.

Starting the anvil sequence before the forest work
The quest route places collection of all three forest parts before the return to Dravakar’s Sanctuary. Complete that prerequisite first so the sanctuary progression is not interrupted by missing quest items.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How reliable is this method?
Once the prerequisites are met, the sequence is deterministic rather than a random reward roll: prepare the required weapons, make one accepted sacrifice each round, and collect the gauntlet after the last type. Its limitation is evidence quality. The weapon-sacrifice discovery is community-sourced and has not been presented as an official developer procedure, while the forest prerequisite and wider quest context are independently described by game guides. Expect the possibility of a patch changing the accepted types or special-weapon behavior.
