In Dark Souls III, Greirat asks you to deliver the Blue Tearstone Ring to Loretta in the Undead Settlement—but Loretta is already dead. Find Loretta’s Bone there and return it to Greirat at Firelink Shrine. After reloading the area, he gives you the Curl Up Gesture, and you keep the ring.
What is the Blue Tearstone Ring’s destination?
The quest’s requested recipient is Loretta, but you do not hand the ring to a living NPC. The actual route is to find Loretta’s Bone in the Undead Settlement and bring it back to Greirat. Find Greirat imprisoned on the High Wall of Lothric and use the Cell Key to release him. He asks you to deliver the Blue Tearstone Ring to Loretta in the Undead Settlement. Accept the request. The High Wall walkthrough covers Greirat’s cell and his move after the request is accepted.

Go to Firelink Shrine, then search the Undead Settlement
Greirat relocates to Firelink Shrine. In the Undead Settlement, look for Loretta’s Bone on a balcony before the Peasant Hollows worship a tree with an Estus Shard. Loretta is not waiting there to receive the ring; the bone is the item that advances the quest. The quest reference identifies the bone’s location.

Return Loretta’s Bone to Greirat
Bring the bone to Greirat at Firelink Shrine. Reload the area and speak with him again to receive the Curl Up Gesture. You retain the Blue Tearstone Ring. The quest reference records the reward and ring retention.
What the ring does
The Blue Tearstone Ring temporarily increases damage absorption when your HP is low. Its description associates the rare tearstone jewel with the sorrowful tears of the goddess Caitha. The available descriptions do not establish a precise HP threshold or numerical absorption increase, so those figures should not be assumed. The achievement guide describes the low-HP effect.
