The Blood of Dawnwalker Update 1.1 is planned for the week after October 16, 2026. Rebel Wolves has not announced an exact release day or launch time. The patch is set to add a skill-point respec item, more subtitle and font-size controls, traversal and combat improvements, directional animal petting, and more than 1,100 additional fixes and polish changes.
When does Update 1.1 release?
Rebel Wolves’ verified developer account announced on October 16, 2026 that Update 1.1 is “planned for next week.” That identifies the release window as the following week, but the announcement gives no exact date, time, or rollout schedule. Players should therefore wait for a separate launch notice or platform update rather than assume a particular day.
The developer’s announcement said: “Here’s what’s coming to The Blood of Dawnwalker with Update 1.1 planned for next week.”

Can you respec skills?
Yes. The Draught of Mind Rebirth is specifically described as allowing players to redistribute skill points and try different builds within an existing playthrough. That should make it easier to change your character’s focus as you learn the game or switch between human and vampire abilities.

The announcement does not explain where to obtain the draught, whether it is consumed on use, how often it can be used, or whether any currency or quest requirement applies. Those details will need to come from the full patch notes or the in-game item description.
Are subtitles and font sizes changing?
Update 1.1 adds additional subtitle settings and larger font-size controls. The announcement confirms a readability and accessibility focus, but does not enumerate the individual subtitle options or state the largest supported text size. Once installed, check the game’s accessibility or display settings for the new controls.

Are camera, targeting and movement fixed?
The patch targets three areas players use constantly: traversal, combat targeting and the camera. Rebel Wolves says movement and directional changes are being refined, while targeting and camera behavior are being improved. It also adds a way to disengage from enemies, which should give players more control when an encounter is unfavorable.
These are announced improvements rather than a detailed technical changelog. The developer has not yet stated whether the changes alter lock-on distance, aim assistance, camera collision, sensitivity, or particular enemy encounters.

Can you pet animals now?
Yes. Directional animal petting is listed as a new world-interaction feature in Update 1.1. “Directional” indicates that the interaction depends on the direction from which the player approaches or faces an animal. The announcement does not identify the eligible species or attach a reward, quest, or other mechanical benefit to petting.
Does Update 1.1 add New Game Plus?
No New Game Plus feature is confirmed for Update 1.1. The announcement thread distinguishes New Game Plus from this patch, and it is not included in the listed changes. Do not treat the respec item as a New Game Plus mode: it changes skill allocation within a playthrough, whereas New Game Plus normally starts a new run with retained progression or equipment.

Where can you play The Blood of Dawnwalker?
Bandai Namco lists The Blood of Dawnwalker for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Xbox describes it as an open-world dark-fantasy action RPG set in 14th-century Europe. The protagonist, Coen, is human by day and a vampire by night, and player actions shape the story.
