Yes—if your PC is at least around the published GTX 1060/Radeon RX 580 and Core i5-11400F/Ryzen 7 2700X class. Bandai Namco’s recommended tier moves to an RTX 4060, Radeon RX 7600 XT or Intel Arc B580 with a Core i7-11700K or Ryzen 7 5700X. Both tiers require Windows 10 with DirectX 12, 16 GB of RAM and installation on an SSD with 60 GB available.
Those are developer hardware targets, not a promise of a particular frame rate. Actual results will depend on resolution, graphics settings, drivers and whether you render natively or use an upscaler such as DLSS or FSR.
Official Blood of Dawnwalker PC requirements
Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe lists the following requirements for the Windows PC version of Blood of Dawnwalker. The game launched on September 3, 2026, also releasing on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is an open-world dark-fantasy action RPG set in 14th-century Europe, built with Unreal Engine 5.
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | Intel Core i5-11400F or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X | Intel Core i7-11700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X |
| Memory | 16 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics card | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580 | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT or Intel Arc B580 |
| Storage | 60 GB SSD | 60 GB SSD |
| Operating system and API | Windows 10, DirectX 12 | Windows 10, DirectX 12 |
The identical memory and storage entries are significant: the recommended list does not raise the RAM capacity or disk-space requirement. The difference between tiers is primarily processor and graphics performance.

Bandai Namco describes Coen as human by day and vampire by night, with the story changing according to the player’s actions. Its product description calls the game “an open-world dark fantasy action RPG set in 14th-century Europe” and says the world is powered by next-generation Unreal Engine 5.
What the minimum tier means
CPU: Core i5-11400F or Ryzen 7 2700X
These processors define the lower published target for the game’s simulation, streaming and general frame-time workload. A newer six-core processor can be a better match even if its model number looks different, while an older high-end chip may still struggle with open-world streaming. Compare your processor’s generation, core count and sustained clock behavior rather than relying on the brand name alone.
A laptop chip with a similar number is not automatically equivalent to the desktop parts in the table. Mobile processors often run at lower power limits, so check the exact model shown in Windows before assuming it matches.
GPU: GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 580
A GTX 1060 or RX 580 places a system at the published minimum graphics class. That answers the common “Will a GTX 1060 run Dawnwalker?” question: it is within the stated minimum, but the requirement does not specify a guaranteed resolution, preset or frame rate. Expect to tune settings and consider upscaling rather than assuming a fixed 60 frames per second.
Cards below this class are outside the official minimum. Integrated graphics and older entry-level cards may launch the game only with compromises—or may fail to provide a usable experience—but Bandai Namco does not publish an additional low-spec mode in the listed requirements.

Memory and storage
The published floor is 16 GB of system RAM. Capacity is not the same as available memory: browsers, recording software and launchers consume part of it. Close unnecessary applications before playing, particularly on a 16 GB machine.
The game calls for a 60 GB SSD installation. The requirement does not state whether that figure includes every update or how much temporary workspace an installer may need, so keep additional free space rather than filling the drive to its limit. An SSD is mandatory in the published table; an HDD does not meet that stated storage target.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsWhat the recommended tier means
CPU: Core i7-11700K or Ryzen 7 5700X
The recommended processors provide a stronger ceiling for busy scenes and background world streaming than the minimum parts. They are targets, not a guarantee that every scene will hold a particular frame rate. A processor with fewer cores or an older architecture can become the limiting factor even when the graphics card is fast enough.
GPU: RTX 4060, RX 7600 XT or Arc B580
These three models are the publisher’s recommended graphics class. That answers “Will an RTX 4060 run Dawnwalker?”: it is in the recommended tier, provided the rest of the system also meets the table. The listed cards come from different architectures, so treat them as developer-selected performance targets rather than proof that every setting will behave identically on each model.
VRAM capacity is not specified in the official table. Check your card’s memory, but do not invent a VRAM threshold from the requirements. Texture quality and resolution can affect memory use, so a card in the recommended class may still need a lower texture setting if its available VRAM is constrained by other workloads.

How to compare your PC with the table
- Identify the processor. In Windows, open Settings > System > About and read the processor field. For a fuller view, press Ctrl+Shift+Esc, choose Performance, then select CPU.
- Check the graphics card. In Task Manager, open Performance > GPU. You can also press Windows+R, type
dxdiag, press Enter, and inspect the Display tab. Record the exact model, not merely “NVIDIA” or “AMD.” - Confirm memory capacity. Task Manager’s Performance > Memory panel shows installed RAM. The requirement concerns system memory, not the VRAM reported for the graphics card.
- Verify DirectX and Windows. In
dxdiag, check the operating-system line and DirectX version. The official target is Windows 10 with DirectX 12; a newer supported Windows installation still needs compatible drivers and the required API. - Check the installation drive. Open Settings > System > Storage and confirm that the destination is an SSD with at least the stated free capacity. If you have several drives, verify the drive letter selected by the game launcher.
Compare the complete system, not just one headline component. A PC with an RTX 4060 but an underpowered or much older CPU is not automatically a recommended-tier machine, and a fast processor cannot compensate for a graphics card below the minimum class at higher resolutions.

Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteMinimum versus recommended: what performance can you expect?
“Minimum” and “recommended” are labels supplied by the developer, not standardized frame-rate promises. The published material does not include a reproducible launch benchmark covering every card, resolution, graphics preset and driver version. Therefore, no responsible table can promise 30 or 60 FPS for a particular combination solely from these requirements.
PC Gamer reported support for DLSS and FSR upscalers and noted that the final requirement presentation used Balanced upscaling. Upscaling renders internally at a lower resolution and reconstructs the output, so the same hardware can perform very differently with native rendering, Quality mode or Balanced mode. If native resolution is too demanding, enabling a supported upscaler is the first setting to test.
For a minimum-tier PC
- Start at 1080p and use the game’s lower or medium preset if available.
- Test an upscaler before reducing every individual setting; Balanced mode was part of the reported requirements presentation, but it is not a universal FPS guarantee.
- Reduce resolution or reconstruction quality if frame times remain uneven.
- Keep background applications closed so 16 GB of RAM is available to the game.
For a recommended-tier PC
- Begin with the default recommended preset at your monitor’s native resolution.
- Measure actual frame pacing in a representative open-world area before raising costly settings.
- Use DLSS or FSR when native rendering is heavier than desired, then choose the quality mode that preserves acceptable image detail.
- Do not assume the recommended tier equals an esports-style high-refresh target; the official list does not define that performance level.
Upgrade decisions when your PC falls short
Below the GTX 1060/RX 580 class
A graphics upgrade is the most direct way to move toward the published minimum. Check the power supply, case clearance, display outputs and PCIe compatibility before buying a card. On a prebuilt or laptop, the GPU may not be replaceable, making a different system or a console version the practical alternatives.
At the minimum GPU but below the minimum CPU
Open-world games can become CPU-limited even when the graphics card is adequate. Compare your processor with the two listed minimum models, check whether your motherboard supports a newer CPU, and verify that a BIOS update is available before planning a platform upgrade. Do not spend on a faster GPU first if the processor is already the clear constraint.

At 16 GB RAM with a nearly full drive
Meeting the capacity line does not help if Windows is constantly paging because other applications are open. Close background software and leave working room on the SSD. If the drive cannot maintain the required free space, adding or replacing the SSD is a storage-capacity fix, not a graphics-performance upgrade.
Between minimum and recommended
A system that sits between the listed tiers should be treated as a tuning project. Prioritize a stable resolution, use supported upscaling, and adjust the setting that is limiting frame time. There is no official intermediate preset or benchmark in the published requirements, so make changes one at a time and observe the result on your own hardware.
Installation and launch checklist
- Install the latest graphics driver offered for your exact NVIDIA, AMD or Intel model.
- Install the game on an SSD that has more free space than the stated capacity.
- Use Windows Update to bring the operating system and DirectX components up to date.
- Connect a laptop to AC power and select its high-performance graphics mode if the manufacturer provides one.
- Close overlays, browsers and capture tools while diagnosing crashes or memory pressure.
- Confirm that the game is using the discrete GPU rather than an integrated adapter in Windows graphics settings.
Common problems and practical fixes
The launcher says there is not enough space
Check the drive selected for installation, not only the drive containing Windows. Remove or move files until the SSD has room beyond the stated requirement, then restart the launcher. If the installer still refuses the drive, verify that it is formatted and accessible to your Windows account.
The game starts but runs poorly
Confirm that the dedicated GPU is active, close background programs, lower the output resolution or enable DLSS/FSR, and retest. Compare CPU and GPU utilization in Task Manager: sustained high GPU usage points toward graphics settings, while a saturated CPU with low GPU usage suggests a processor or background-task limit.
Recommended Free Tools
Crashes or a DirectX error appear
Reboot after driver installation, use the launcher’s file-verification option if available, and check that Windows reports DirectX 12. Remove unstable overclocks while troubleshooting. If the hardware is below the published minimum, software changes cannot turn it into an officially supported configuration.

Only 16 GB of RAM is installed
That capacity meets the listed requirement, but leave as much memory free as possible. If Windows frequently reports high memory use before launch, closing applications is the immediate remedy; a RAM upgrade can improve headroom, although it does not replace a required GPU or CPU upgrade.
PC or console?
Blood of Dawnwalker launched on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The console editions avoid PC component matching and driver management, while the PC version offers adjustable resolution and upscaling for hardware that falls between the two published tiers. The available material does not specify console frame-rate modes, resolutions or image-quality settings, so those should not be assumed when comparing platforms.
For a PC below the GTX 1060/RX 580 minimum, compare the cost of a compatible graphics-platform upgrade with the price and availability of the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S edition in your region. No universal cost winner can be stated because hardware prices, used-market conditions and game-edition pricing change by country and date.

Bottom line for the most common GPUs
| Your GPU | Published position | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| GTX 1060 | Minimum tier | Pair it with at least the minimum-class CPU, 16 GB RAM, Windows 10/DirectX 12 and an SSD; plan to tune settings and use upscaling. |
| Radeon RX 580 | Minimum tier | It is inside the stated floor, but the requirements do not guarantee a specific frame rate or preset. |
| RTX 4060 | Recommended tier | It meets the listed graphics target when the CPU and other requirements also match. |
| Radeon RX 7600 XT | Recommended tier | It is one of the publisher’s recommended GPUs; configure resolution and upscaling to suit your display. |
| Intel Arc B580 | Recommended tier | It is explicitly named in the recommended list; keep Intel graphics drivers current. |
In short, a GTX 1060 or RX 580 system is a minimum-spec machine, not a guaranteed high-settings system. An RTX 4060, RX 7600 XT or Arc B580 system is in the recommended graphics class, but the final experience still depends on the processor, memory availability, SSD installation and chosen rendering mode.
