The Manumit Hideout is in Svartrau City, but you cannot simply walk in from the open world. Follow the quests The Firebrand, Shadows in the Woods and Where Loyalty Lies; progress through the last quest until it takes Coen inside. To register the hideout for the later A Deal with the Devil objective, interact with the wall outside at night.
How to reach the Manumit Hideout
- Start The Firebrand at the Military Camp. Free the Miller from the prison cell inside the tower and clear the camp. PowerPyx’s walkthrough says Shadows in the Woods follows.
- Complete Shadows in the Woods. It begins automatically after The Firebrand.
- Continue into Where Loyalty Lies. This quest follows automatically. Keep working through its objectives until they take Coen into the Manumit Hideout in Svartrau City.
- Mark the hideout after nightfall. Once you have reached it through the quest, interact with the wall outside. The walkthrough says the location cannot be marked during the day. This records it for the later A Deal with the Devil objective.
Infamy requirement to join the Manumits
Joining the Manumits through Where Loyalty Lies requires Notorious infamy, level IV on the Court infamy track. PC Gamer’s quest guide describes several ways to raise it:
- Complete Vrakhir operations in a region and anger a boyar enough to unlock and defeat that boyar.
- Destroy Soldier Camps. Soldier Pickets appear at infamy level 2, according to the guide.
- Combine camp clearing with regional operations and a boyar fight.
PC Gamer describes Soldier Camps as a time-efficient route, though enemies in other regions may be harder. Once you reach Notorious, head to Svartrau and meet Sara to continue the Manumit questline.
