To replace a blog post’s featured image in manual mode, open Blog management, find the post, use its ⋮ menu to open settings, choose Featured image, then select Replace image. Choose an image from the media library or free-image options, or upload one; save the change and update the website to publish it.
Change the featured image for one post

Open the website editor and expand Blog management in the left panel.

Find the post you want to edit and open the adjacent ⋮ menu.

Open the post settings and select the Featured image tab.

Click Replace image.

Choose an image from the media library, browse the free-image options, or upload an image.
-
Save the change, then update the website to publish it.

For a blog-post cover, the help center recommends a 5:3 width-to-height ratio. See the featured-image instructions.
Understand where the image appears
A post’s featured image is attached to that individual blog post. It appears with the post title and description when the article is shared on social media. It is not the same setting as the general website preview image or an individual page’s social image; changing those link-preview settings does not replace the post’s featured image.

If the image is not showing
It is missing from a blog listing
A blog section can independently show or hide featured images. If the image is set on the post but does not appear in a list, check the featured-image visibility setting for that blog section. See the blog-section guidance.
A shared link still shows the old image
First confirm that you saved the change and updated the website. Social services may keep an older link-preview image in their cache, so the new preview can take several hours to appear. If it remains stale, clear or refresh the preview cache through the social service. Avoid editing the site at the same time in multiple tabs or devices, and check that the image’s size and format are suitable.

For link previews, the help center recommends 1200 × 630 pixels and, in its troubleshooting guidance, specifies a maximum file size of 15 MB and PNG, JPG, or JPEG formats.
