Blink Outdoor 2K+ is a battery-powered outdoor camera with up to 2K video, but it is not a standalone Wi-Fi camera: a Blink Sync Module is required. Its headline two-year battery estimate is based on 1080p and typical-use conditions, while 2K requires at least 6 Mbps of upload speed at the camera. Blink lists it starting at $99.99 in its catalog observed October 7, 2026; treat that as a dated manufacturer listing, not a guaranteed transaction price.
The useful buying question is whether its hub requirement, storage choices and subscription-dependent features suit your setup. Blink’s specifications describe the product, but no independent image-quality, battery-life or detection-accuracy test is established here.
What does Blink Outdoor 2K+ offer?
Outdoor 2K+ records in three selectable modes, all in a 16:9 aspect ratio. Blink lists the following resolutions and frame rates in its technical specifications and FAQ:

These are manufacturer specifications, not a comparison of recorded footage. For 2K, check upload speed where the camera will be installed; a fast connection elsewhere in the home does not establish that the camera location meets the requirement. The field of view is 115° horizontally, 62° vertically and 135° diagonally. Blink lists detection range up to 30 feet; that figure does not guarantee that a person or vehicle will be identified accurately at that distance. The product supports low-light color when ambient light is available; in darker conditions it may switch to infrared monochrome. These are manufacturer descriptions, not independent assessments of image quality.
Does it need a Sync Module?
Yes. Blink says Outdoor 2K+ requires a Sync Module to connect to the home Wi-Fi network. Blink lists all its Sync Modules as compatible, so an existing Blink owner should check their equipment before buying a camera bundle. The required module is a separate purchase unless included in the bundle selected.
Do not confuse Sync Module XR compatibility with the camera’s range: Outdoor 2K+ does not support XR Extended Range, which Blink says is exclusive to Outdoor 4. The XR can be used for local storage, but it does not give this camera that extended-range feature.

How long does the battery last?
The camera uses two non-rechargeable Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA 1.5 V batteries, and Blink says two are included. Blink advertises up to two years of battery life, but qualifies that estimate as based on 1080p, battery-efficiency settings and typical use. Actual life varies with settings, activity and environmental conditions, so it is not a guaranteed replacement interval or a verified independent test result.
A weather-resistant power adapter is an optional alternative. Blink’s catalog also identifies its Solaris Battery Pack as compatible with Outdoor 2K+; check the current listing and availability before relying on that accessory as an option.
What storage and subscription costs should buyers consider?
There are two storage routes for motion clips:
- Cloud: Outdoor 2K+ includes a 30-day Blink Subscription Plus Plan trial at no cost. After the trial, Blink identifies Basic and Plus plans as options for cloud storage and premium features. Existing Plus subscribers are already covered. Plan prices and detailed current terms are not established here, so check Blink’s current terms before budgeting.
- Local: Use Sync Module 2 with a USB flash drive, or Sync Module XR with a MicroSD card. The storage accessories are sold separately.

Can it stay outside year-round?
Blink rates the camera IP65 and lists an operating temperature range of -4°F to 113°F (-20°C to 45°C). There is an installation caveat if using USB-C power: removing the port cover compromises weather resistance unless the specified weather-resistant USB-C adapter is used. Follow Blink’s installation guidance rather than treating the rating as permission to leave an uncovered port exposed.
What does it cost, and where is it listed?
Blink’s catalog listed Outdoor 2K+ starting at $99.99 when observed on October 7, 2026. This is a dated manufacturer catalog price, not a confirmed current Amazon price or a guarantee of what a buyer will pay. A complete setup may cost more if a Sync Module, local-storage hardware or an ongoing subscription is needed.
Blink lists these regional model numbers: BCM00900U for the United States, Canada and Mexico; BCM01900U for Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK; BCM05900U for Australia and New Zealand. Blink’s availability page lists those 12 markets; check local availability and bundle contents before purchase. The camera measures 70 × 70 × 41 mm and weighs 142 g (5.0 oz), according to Blink.

Which integrations and features are documented?
Blink names compatibility with Alexa-compatible devices, Siri Shortcuts and IFTTT. That list should not be read as a claim of broad compatibility with every smart-home platform. The camera’s smart person and vehicle detection and enhanced zoom are subscription- or trial-dependent, and its detection range specification is not an accuracy guarantee.
Who is Blink Outdoor 2K+ a good fit for?
- Consider it if you already use a compatible Blink Sync Module, can meet the upload requirement for your chosen video mode, and are comfortable with either Blink cloud-plan terms or buying local-storage accessories.
- Look more carefully at the total setup if you have no Sync Module, want cloud clips or premium detections beyond the included trial, or expect to use 2K on a limited-upload connection.
- Do not buy on the battery headline alone: the up-to-two-year figure is conditional on 1080p, efficiency settings and typical use, and actual battery life varies.
