Black Wind and White Wind are not new Saiyan transformations. In DRAGON BALL GEKISHIN SQUADRA, they are limited-time Infinite Skin cosmetic series. They change the appearance of specific characters, but the official announcement does not assign either series a transformation level, power multiplier, combat-stat bonus, or canon ranking. That means neither series can be shown to be stronger than Super Saiyan Blue or superior to Ultra Instinct.
The direct answer: Black Wind and White Wind are cosmetic series
The wording of the announcement is decisive: Black Wind and White Wind are described as “skin series,” not as new forms. The designs use “flickering neon green accents,” a visual treatment intended to make the characters feel connected to the wind theme. Nothing in that announcement turns the names into story transformations.
This distinction matters because a transformation normally answers a story or combat question: what state is the character entering, what does it cost, and how does it change the character’s abilities? A skin answers an appearance question: which visual design can the player equip? The available material answers the second question for Black Wind and White Wind, not the first.

What each series includes
Each series contains four character skins sold together as a set. The rosters are different, so the practical choice is primarily about which characters a player uses and which visual lineup they want.
| Series | Characters included | Sale format | Set-level team coverage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Black Wind | Super Gogeta; Super Vegito; Super Saiyan Son Goku; Super Saiyan Vegeta | One set of four skins | One Tank, two Damage, and one Technical character |
| White Wind | Super Saiyan God SS Son Goku; Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta; Jiren (Full Power); Goku Black | One set of four skins | One Tank, two Damage, and one Technical character |
The Steam listing repeats these rosters and describes each collection as covering a complete team composition of one Tank, two Damage characters, and one Technical character. That is a statement about the playable lineup represented by each set; it is not a claim that every character receives a new transformation or that the sets alter those roles.
Black Wind roster
Black Wind is the set built around Super Gogeta, Super Vegito, Super Saiyan Son Goku, and Super Saiyan Vegeta. The announcement explicitly identifies all four and says they are sold as one four-skin set. The set therefore suits players who already use those characters or who want a unified look across that portion of their collection.

White Wind contains Super Saiyan God SS Son Goku, Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta, Jiren (Full Power), and Goku Black. The official wording uses “Super Saiyan God SS” for the two blue-haired Goku and Vegeta entries. That is the formal character naming used in the announcement, not evidence that the White Wind cosmetic creates a more advanced blue form.
How Black Wind and White Wind compare with Super Saiyan Blue
“Super Saiyan Blue” is commonly used for the blue-haired state that the announcement names “Super Saiyan God SS.” In this event, White Wind includes Super Saiyan God SS Son Goku and Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta as characters receiving skins. The skin name does not replace the characters’ established identity, and it does not establish a stronger version of their blue state.
There are two separate facts here:
- Character identity: White Wind includes the game’s Super Saiyan God SS Son Goku and Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta entries.
- Cosmetic treatment: White Wind applies the event’s wind-themed appearance to those entries.
The announcement does not provide a new transformation name, a before-and-after stat line, an attack multiplier, a resource cost, or a gameplay rule saying that White Wind increases the power of either character. Consequently, “Is White Wind stronger than Super Saiyan Blue?” has a straightforward answer: no strength increase is established. White Wind is an appearance option for characters who already use the Super Saiyan God SS identity in the game.

The same logic applies to Black Wind’s Super Saiyan Son Goku and Super Saiyan Vegeta entries. Their inclusion in a skin set does not create a new Saiyan stage. Black Wind and White Wind can be compared by roster and presentation, but not by transformation power on the information published for this event.

Why Ultra Instinct cannot be ranked against either set
Ultra Instinct is not discussed in the announcement or in the Steam listing information supplied for these skins. No matchup, tier placement, multiplier, or ability comparison involving Ultra Instinct is published there. A claim that Black Wind or White Wind is above, below, or equal to Ultra Instinct would therefore add a conclusion that the event material does not make.
The responsible comparison is narrower:
- Black Wind and White Wind identify cosmetic collections in Gekishin Squadra.
- Super Saiyan God SS identifies two characters in the White Wind roster.
- Ultra Instinct is not an evidence-backed comparison axis for these skin sets.
This is not a judgment about which story character would win a hypothetical battle. It is a clarification of what the event names mean in the game. A cosmetic label cannot be converted into a canon power tier without published evidence that it changes abilities or represents a story transformation.
The visual theme shared by both sets
Both collections use the same broad design idea: the official announcement highlights flickering neon green accents and says those accents give the skins a true feeling of the wind. That description supports a visual comparison, not a numerical one.
Because the event material does not publish separate visual specifications for Black Wind and White Wind, it is safer to describe the shared treatment than to invent a detailed color or effect hierarchy between the two. The meaningful visual difference established by the announcement is which characters receive the design.

Season 7 gameplay context: the hero is separate from the skin
The same update introduces Super Saiyan God SS Son Goku as the third new Season 7 hero. He is assigned the Damage role. This is a gameplay addition, but it should not be confused with the White Wind cosmetic series.

The update also states that deploying Super Saiyan God SS Son Goku together with Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta under the specified conditions activates the merged “Kamehameha & Galick Gun” attack. That combination is a hero-and-team mechanic. It does not mean that equipping White Wind creates the attack, raises its damage, or upgrades the characters’ transformation.
In practical terms, there are three different layers to keep separate:
- Hero release: Super Saiyan God SS Son Goku arrives as a Season 7 Damage hero.
- Team condition: pairing him with Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta under the stated conditions activates “Kamehameha & Galick Gun.”
- Skin collection: White Wind provides appearances for four listed characters, including those two Super Saiyan God SS entries.
Only the first two layers describe gameplay content in the update. The third describes customization.
When the skins are available
The Steam news listing gives the shop period as 2026-10-14 06:00 UTC through 2026-11-04 05:59 UTC. The window is expressed in UTC, so players should compare it with their own local time rather than assuming that the displayed date changes at local midnight.
The official Dragon Ball site warns that event duration and content can change without prior notice. Treat the listed period as the announced window, not an irreversible guarantee. Before purchasing, open the in-game shop and verify that the collection is still available and that the displayed contents match the set you intend to buy.
A practical availability check
- Open DRAGON BALL GEKISHIN SQUADRA during the announced UTC window.
- Go to the in-game shop and locate the Infinite Skin listings.
- Confirm whether the listing is labeled Black Wind or White Wind.
- Check the four character names shown in the purchase panel.
- Review the current end time in the game client, because event timing or contents may be changed without prior notice.
This check is especially important if you are reading an archived announcement after November 4, 2026, or if the game displays a schedule different from the original listing.

What can be compared reliably
A useful comparison should use categories that the event actually defines. The following matrix separates supported facts from questions the announcement leaves unanswered.
| Comparison axis | Black Wind | White Wind |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Infinite Skin cosmetic series | Infinite Skin cosmetic series |
| Number of skins | Four | Four |
| Roster | Super Gogeta; Super Vegito; Super Saiyan Son Goku; Super Saiyan Vegeta | Super Saiyan God SS Son Goku; Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta; Jiren (Full Power); Goku Black |
| Visual direction | Wind-themed design with flickering neon green accents | Wind-themed design with flickering neon green accents |

Transformation multiplier, canon status as a new form, combat-stat change, attack-power increase, and ranking against Ultra Instinct are not published comparison values for either set. Leaving those categories out is more accurate than filling them with assumptions.

“Black Wind” and “White Wind” must be new forms because they have form-like names
A stylized name does not determine whether a game item is a transformation. The official announcement labels both as skin series and describes their visual accents. In this case, the product category is more reliable than the form-like wording.
White Wind must be a stronger version of Super Saiyan Blue
White Wind includes characters whose formal names contain “Super Saiyan God SS,” but the set adds an appearance, not a stronger state. No published number or rule shows a power increase.
Black Wind should rank below or above White Wind
The rosters differ, but the available announcement does not assign one collection a higher tier. A player can prefer one set because of its characters, role needs, or visual style without turning that preference into a power ranking.

Ultra Instinct provides the missing benchmark
Ultra Instinct is not part of the published comparison for these skins. Using it as a benchmark would require ability, stat, or story information that the event announcement does not provide.
How to choose between the sets
Since neither collection has an established power advantage, use practical criteria instead of transformation debates.
- Choose by roster: Black Wind is the relevant set if you want Super Gogeta, Super Vegito, Super Saiyan Son Goku, or Super Saiyan Vegeta. White Wind is the relevant set if you want Super Saiyan God SS Son Goku, Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta, Jiren (Full Power), or Goku Black.
- Choose by team plans: Each set is described as covering one Tank, two Damage characters, and one Technical character, so either collection can represent a full four-character role spread.
- Choose by event timing: Check the live shop listing against the announced UTC window before buying, particularly because the official site says duration and content can change without prior notice.
- Choose by appearance: Both use the wind concept and flickering neon green accents; the roster is the established difference between them.
None of these criteria requires treating a skin as a transformation. They answer the actual purchase and customization decision the event presents.
What evidence would be needed for a real power comparison?
A genuine comparison with Super Saiyan Blue or Ultra Instinct would need information of a different kind. For example, an official gameplay notice could publish altered attack values, a passive effect, a damage multiplier, a resource requirement, or a transformation rule tied specifically to Black Wind or White Wind. An official story source could identify either name as a new transformation and place it in a canon sequence.
The current announcement provides none of those things. It provides set names, character rosters, visual language, role coverage, a shop period, and separate Season 7 hero information. Those details are enough to explain what the collections are and when they are offered, but not enough to calculate or infer a power tier.
Bottom line
Black Wind and White Wind are limited-time Infinite Skin sets in DRAGON BALL GEKISHIN SQUADRA, not newly established Saiyan forms. Black Wind covers Super Gogeta, Super Vegito, Super Saiyan Son Goku, and Super Saiyan Vegeta. White Wind covers Super Saiyan God SS Son Goku, Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta, Jiren (Full Power), and Goku Black. Both sets contain four skins, provide the announced one-Tank/two-Damage/one-Technical coverage, and use flickering neon green wind-themed accents.
White Wind’s inclusion of Super Saiyan God SS characters does not make it stronger than Super Saiyan Blue, and the available event material does not discuss Ultra Instinct. Compare the sets by roster, team coverage, appearance, and shop timing—not by an unsupported transformation ranking.
