The reported light-blue bubbles around Bing’s desktop sitelinks are not corroborated by the available reports. Those reports describe several different interface tests: bullets beside sitelinks in 2024, circular arrow buttons in early 2025, and light-gray underlines later that year. In the 2024 report, bubbles appeared around the search-bar menu—not the sitelinks.
What did the Bing reports actually show?
Search Engine Roundtable’s reports describe distinct changes to Bing’s interface. They do not confirm that Microsoft tested light-blue bubbles around desktop sitelinks.

How to interpret the light-blue bubbles claim
The claim appears to combine two details from the January 2024 report: bubbles on one part of the interface and a separate styling change to sitelinks. In that report, the bubbles surrounded the search-bar menu, while the sitelinks were bulleted. It does not establish that sitelinks themselves were enclosed in blue bubbles.

The later reports also concern other treatments—arrow buttons and underlines—not bubbles. They are evidence of separate observed experiments, not confirmation of the exact desktop design described in the headline.

Were any of the changes rolled out broadly?
The reports describe observed interface tests, not Microsoft announcements. They do not establish who saw each variation, where or for how long it appeared, whether it became a permanent Bing change, or whether it affected usability or performance. No Microsoft statement explaining the purpose or impact of the exact light-blue-bubble design is established in these reports.
So the grounded conclusion is limited: Bing has been reported testing several sitelink presentations, but the specific claim about light-blue bubbles around desktop sitelinks remains unverified.
