Bigscreen says attention around Valve’s Steam Frame launch drove increased demand for its Beyond 2 and Beyond 2e headsets, while its October 9, 2026 production update pushed back the largest October Halo Mount shipment estimate by one to two weeks. The sales link is Bigscreen’s account of its own business—not independently verified causation—and the post gives no unit totals. Halo Mount dates are estimates, not guarantees.

What Bigscreen reported about sales

In its September 25 post, Bigscreen said it believed some of the increased interest came from people researching Steam Frame and considering an upgrade from a Valve Index or another SteamVR headset. It also pointed to people choosing Beyond 2 for long VRChat and sim-racing sessions, and said the headset’s lack of a battery allows extended use. Those are the manufacturer’s explanations, not results from disclosed buyer research.

Bigscreen’s October 9 production update put the claim more directly: “The launch of the Steam Frame has brought massive demand for the Bigscreen Beyond 2 and 2e. We’ve been selling more units per day than we did during the 2025 holiday season!” The post names no speaker and reports no unit totals, so the comparison cannot establish the size of the increase or independently show that Steam Frame attention caused it.

Bigscreen also cited a 12X increase in Beyond SteamVR usage between early 2024 and early 2026 in its April 16 update, based on its comparison of SteamVR Hardware Survey usage. That is a usage comparison, not a sales figure. Separately, a July 17 update said Bigscreen had shipped more than 50,000 orders since it began shipping in 2023; that broad company milestone is not a Beyond 2 unit count.

When Halo Mount orders are expected to ship

Bigscreen’s October 9 update said its previous estimate for the largest October Halo Mount shipments had slipped by one to two weeks. It still expected to catch up on the preorder backlog in November, while new orders placed at the time of the update were estimated to ship in December. These are dated company estimates, not confirmed delivery dates. Bigscreen directs customers to its store page for the latest shipping information.

What changed in the Halo Mount—and why the schedule moved

In July, Bigscreen disclosed that the Halo Mount’s plastic “sledge link” could break, particularly if used accidentally in a way it was not designed for. The company estimated that the issue could affect 2–5% of customers. It said it was changing the component from injection-molded plastic to injection-molded metal, which required additional manufacturing time. That July forecast has been superseded. The October update reports another schedule slip but does not attribute it to a new design defect.

Bigscreen said the Halo Mount can be used with several cushion types or without a cushion. These are the company’s product descriptions, not independent test findings.

Beyond 2 and Beyond 2e pricing and fit options

Bigscreen’s September 25 post listed Beyond 2 starting at $959 with the Universal-Fit Cushion and Beyond 2e starting at $1,159. Those prices are a dated snapshot, not a guarantee of current pricing. The same post said both headsets were then in stock and shipping in 1–7 business days. By October 9, Bigscreen reported the Universal-Fit Cushion was sold out, with a restock expected in about six weeks; the Universal-Fit Light Seal was in stock, and headsets configured with the Light Seal or Custom-Fit Cushion were estimated to ship in 2–3 business days. Check the current store listing for today’s price, stock and estimated ship time.

For fit, Bigscreen presents three approaches: a custom-fit cushion, a Universal-Fit Cushion, or a Universal-Fit Light Seal. The company says its Light Seal may not suit every face shape and recommends the paired firm and soft Universal-Fit Cushion for most people. These options affect facial fit and the headset’s eye relief and field of view; the sources cited here do not provide measurements for comparing those effects across configurations. The April update says the Halo Mount is compatible with several cushion types, but it does not establish that every fit configuration is equally suitable for every wearer.

What buyers should take from the updates

  • For Beyond 2 or 2e shoppers: Treat the sales surge as Bigscreen’s report, not proof of a particular sales volume or a verified causal effect from Steam Frame. Confirm current pricing, fit choices and shipping estimates before ordering.
  • For Halo Mount preorder holders: The October estimate moved the largest October shipments back one to two weeks, with backlog catch-up still targeted for November. Follow Bigscreen’s store page for revised information.
  • For prospective Halo Mount buyers: New orders placed at the time of the update were estimated to ship in December. The company’s previously disclosed reason for extra manufacturing time was the sledge-link material change; the October post does not identify a new defect as the reason for the latest slip.

Bigscreen also operates an official Beyond 2 affiliate program. Anyone may apply, but applications are reviewed and not automatically accepted; the page states a 1.5% commission on referred sales through a personal link. Admission does not include a headset. A publisher participating in the program should disclose that relationship.
