There is no universal best WordPress booking plugin in 2026. Choose according to what customers reserve: Amelia is the broadest starting point for staff appointments, Simply Schedule Appointments suits beginners and consultants, Booknetic is aimed at multi-staff operations, and LatePoint is the performance-focused option. For overnight stays, compare MotoPress Hotel Booking with WP Booking System; for an existing WooCommerce catalog, start with WooCommerce Bookings; and for ticketed events, look at Eventnetic.
Prices and plugin availability change frequently. The figures in this guide were reported on 14 October 2026, and only the WooCommerce Bookings price is confirmed by an official listing. Treat all other prices as indicative until you verify the current vendor page.
Quick verdict: shortlist by what you are booking
Start with the booking object, not a feature checklist. An appointment for one person, a hotel room covering several nights, a WooCommerce product with variable pricing, and a seat at a ticketed event require different calendar and availability rules.
| Plugin | Best fit | Why it belongs on the shortlist |
|---|---|---|
| Amelia | General staff appointments and services | Frequently recommended all-round option, with a free Amelia Lite edition reported. |
| Simply Schedule Appointments | Beginners, consultants and straightforward appointments | Targets a simpler setup rather than a large operational system. |
| Booknetic | Businesses with multiple staff | Designed around multi-staff scheduling and reported to offer a lifetime option. |
| BookingPress | Teams wanting a generous free version | Often recommended for its free offering, although its WordPress.org status needs checking. |
| LatePoint | Speed-sensitive appointment sites | One review reported an added page-load time of under 150 ms. |
| FluentBooking | Consultants and agencies | Positioned for professional service calendars and agency workflows. |
| Bookly | Salons, clinics and multi-staff teams | Core plugin is free on WordPress.org, with a paid Pro path. |
| MotoPress Hotel Booking | Hotels and short-term accommodation | Supports hotel-style inventory and two-way iCal synchronization. |
| WP Booking System | Day-based vacation rentals | Focused on bookings measured in days rather than appointment slots. |
| WooCommerce Bookings | Stores already using WooCommerce | Official WooCommerce extension that keeps booking products in the store system. |
| ARB | WooCommerce stores with complex pricing | One-time-license alternative reported for more complicated rate rules. |
| Eventnetic | Ticketed events | Named for seat maps, QR check-in and recurring ticketed dates. |
Decide which booking model you need
Appointments with staff or service providers
Use this model when a customer chooses a person, service and time—such as a consultation, haircut or clinic visit. Important requirements are staff calendars, duration and buffer rules, working hours, customer time-zone handling, reminders and payment or deposit support. Amelia, Simply Schedule Appointments, Booknetic, BookingPress, LatePoint, FluentBooking and Bookly are the relevant group.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Nightly or day-based accommodation
A room or vacation rental needs date-range inventory. The system must prevent overlapping stays, calculate nights, and usually synchronize availability with outside calendars. MotoPress Hotel Booking is aimed at hotels and short-term rentals and is reported with two-way iCal sync. WP Booking System is aimed at day-based vacation rentals.
Bookable products in a WooCommerce store
If products, tax, coupons, customer accounts and order fulfilment already run through WooCommerce, an extension is usually less disruptive than a separate appointment database. WooCommerce Bookings is the official extension. ARB is described as a one-time-license alternative for stores that need complex pricing.
Tickets and seats at events
Events have a different inventory problem: capacity, ticket types, seat selection and admission scanning. Eventnetic is the option in this shortlist specifically associated with seat maps, QR check-in and recurring ticketed dates.

Appointment plugins for services and staff
Amelia: broadest general-purpose starting point
Amelia is the most frequently recommended all-round choice in the comparisons behind this guide. It is a sensible first evaluation when you offer several services or staff members and do not have a narrowly defined booking model. A free Amelia Lite version is reported, while paid pricing is discussed below.
Before choosing it, map every service to a duration, staff member, working-hours rule and cancellation policy. An all-round plugin can still be a poor fit if your business needs hotel inventory, WooCommerce-native order handling or event seat maps.

- 5-in-1 USB-C Hub: Experience comprehensive connectivity featuring a Power Delivery input, two USB-A 2.0 ports, a USB-A 3.0 port, and an HDMI port. (Note: The USB-C power delivery input port is only for connecting an external wall charger to power your laptop and cannot power peripheral devices.)
- 90W Pass-Through Charging: Achieve optimal charging with 90W pass-through power to your laptop, supported by a total input of 100W, with the hub reserving 10W for operational efficiency. (Note: Wall charger not included.)
- Quick Data Transfers: Accelerate your productivity with rapid data transfers using a high-speed 5Gbps USB 3.0 port and two 480Mbps USB 2.0 ports.
- 4K HDMI Display: Enhance your visual experience with a hub capable of delivering 4K resolution at 30Hz in both mirror and extend modes. Please note that this hub is compatible with MacBook (macOS 12 and newer), Windows 10 and 11, ChromeOS, and laptops equipped with DP Alt Mode and Power Delivery. Note: This device is not compatible with Linux.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
Simply Schedule Appointments: uncomplicated calendars
Simply Schedule Appointments targets beginners and consultants. It is appropriate when the customer mainly selects an appointment type and an available slot, without the operational complexity of a large salon or clinic. The reported Plus, Professional and Business prices are listed in the pricing table; confirm what payment, reminder and calendar features each current tier includes.
Booknetic: multi-staff operations
Booknetic is aimed at businesses coordinating multiple employees. During evaluation, test how it represents each staff member’s working hours, breaks, holidays and service assignments. A starting annual price and a lifetime option have both been reported, but the figures differ by source, so regard the vendor’s current checkout as authoritative.
BookingPress: attractive free entry, uncertain directory status
BookingPress is commonly recommended when a generous free version matters. However, one comparison reports that it was removed from WordPress.org on 1 February 2025; that status is unverified here and may have changed. Check the official distribution channel, update history and support terms before installing it on a production site.
LatePoint: performance-sensitive sites
LatePoint is the performance pick in one comparison. That review described an additional page-load cost of under 150 ms. This is a single published claim, not a guarantee for your theme, hosting plan, extensions or traffic. Reproduce the test on a staging copy with your own caching and checkout flow before treating the number as a buying criterion.
FluentBooking: consultants and agencies
FluentBooking targets consultants and agencies. It belongs on a shortlist when your offer consists of professional-service meetings rather than rooms, rental inventory or ticketed seats. Verify the current limits for calendars, staff, payment methods and reminders against your workflow; the reported annual starting price is not an official quote.

- Sleek 7-in-1 USB-C Hub: Features an HDMI port, two USB-A 3.0 ports, and a USB-C data port, each providing 5Gbps transfer speeds. It also includes a USB-C PD input port for charging up to 100W and dual SD and TF card slots, all in a compact design.
- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.
- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
Bookly: free core with a paid upgrade path
Bookly’s core plugin is available free on WordPress.org. It is frequently associated with salons, clinics and multi-staff teams. The paid Pro price has been reported in several incompatible forms—promotional annual pricing, a regular annual rate and a one-time Envato price—so compare the exact license, update period and included add-ons rather than assuming the free core covers your complete operation.

MotoPress Hotel Booking
MotoPress Hotel Booking is intended for hotels and short-term rentals. The reported annual price of $199 includes two-way iCal synchronization, a material distinction if you also publish availability on external accommodation calendars. Confirm which channels and synchronization intervals are supported, then test a reservation made on each side to ensure blocked dates propagate correctly.
WP Booking System
WP Booking System is focused on day-based vacation rentals. A reported guide price is $79 per year. Check whether your property model needs nightly rates, seasonal pricing, deposits, cleaning fees or multiple units; a day-calendar plugin may require additional configuration or extensions for those rules.
WooCommerce-based booking stores
WooCommerce Bookings
WooCommerce Bookings is the official option for an existing WooCommerce store. The official WooCommerce.com listing reports $249 for a one-year plan and $398.40 for two years, described as a 20% saving. A Bookings Availability add-on is listed at $59 per year. These figures are for the editions and terms shown in that listing; verify the current site, renewal price, supported WooCommerce versions and whether the add-on is required for your availability view.
Its main advantage is platform fit: bookings can remain part of the same product, cart, order and customer-account system. The trade-off is cost and WooCommerce dependency. If your site does not otherwise use WooCommerce, compare the overhead of adding the commerce stack with a standalone appointment plugin.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
ARB
ARB is reported as a one-time-license alternative from $55 for WooCommerce stores with complex pricing. “From” is important: complex rates can depend on dates, duration, people, resources or extras. Confirm exactly which pricing dimensions the license supports and whether updates and support continue after the initial payment.
Event and ticket bookings
Eventnetic
Eventnetic is the named choice for recurring ticketed dates, seat maps and QR check-in. Those features matter when admission control and assigned seating are part of the customer journey. Before launch, run a complete test: publish an event, sell each ticket type, issue a QR code, scan it once, attempt a second scan, and verify how refunds or transfers affect the attendee list.
Reported prices in 2026
Prices below are not a promise of current checkout totals. Comparison pages reported different promotional and regular rates, and add-ons for deposits, SMS messages or two-way calendar synchronization can raise the real cost. Only the WooCommerce Bookings figures come from an official product listing; the other entries have low confidence.
| Plugin | Reported price | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| WooCommerce Bookings | $249 per year; $398.40 for two years | Official WooCommerce.com listing; two-year figure is described as 20% saving. Bookings Availability add-on reported at $59 per year. |
| Amelia | About $49 per year for one domain; Standard about $89 promotional ($99 regular) | Sources conflict on multi-domain tiers, reported from $149 to $285 for Pro. |
| Simply Schedule Appointments | $99 Plus; $199 Professional; $399 Business per year | One comparison’s figures; verify current plans and renewal terms. |
| Booknetic | About $45 per year starting; lifetime figures reported at $79; Elite $199–$339 per year | Conflicting reports; license scope and lifetime conditions require confirmation. |
| BookingPress | About $89 per year or $229 lifetime; another report lists $79 per year Pro | Conflicting reports and uncertain WordPress.org availability. |
| LatePoint | Starter $79 per year (regular $99); Scale $149 (regular $249); Agency $299 (regular $499) | Reported limits are one, five and 100 sites respectively. Lifetime plans described as limited offers. |
| Bookly | Core free; Pro reported at $39 promotional or $99 regular per year, alternatively $49 first year/$89 regular, or $89 one-time on Envato | Multiple reported offers; check the exact marketplace and update rights. |
| FluentBooking | About $55 per year | One guide’s estimate; not an official quote. |
| WP Booking System | $79 per year | One guide’s reported price for day-based rentals. |
| MotoPress Hotel Booking | $199 per year | Reported with two-way iCal synchronization. |
| ARB | From $55 one-time | Reported starting license for WooCommerce stores; “from” excludes possible extensions or higher tiers. |
Free and low-cost paths
A free plugin is useful for validating your booking flow, but “free” rarely means every production requirement is included. Amelia Lite and Bookly Core are reported as free editions. BookingPress is also described as having a generous free version, subject to the distribution-status caveat above.
Recommended Free Tools
- List every required capability before installing: payments, deposits, reminders, staff calendars, recurring appointments, time-zone behavior, cancellation rules, exports and synchronization.
- Check whether payment gateways, SMS, deposits or calendar sync are separate add-ons. A low initial price can become expensive once these are necessary.
- Confirm update and support duration. A one-time license may still have different rules for updates, support or future WordPress compatibility.
- Test the free edition with realistic peak availability and at least two staff accounts before migrating customer data.
A practical selection and setup process
- Describe one real booking. Write down what the customer selects, such as service, employee, date, time, duration, quantity, location and payment. If the booking is a room, record arrival, departure, unit and rate rules instead.
- Choose the platform family. Use an appointment plugin for time slots, an accommodation plugin for date-range inventory, WooCommerce Bookings for a WooCommerce catalog, or an event tool for tickets and seats.
- Build a requirements table. Mark each must-have as native, available through an add-on, or not stated. Do not assume a feature because another plugin in the same category has it.
- Price the complete stack. Add the license, renewal, payment gateway, SMS, deposit, calendar synchronization and any per-site limits. Use the first-year and renewal totals separately when a promotion is involved.
- Install on staging. Create services or units, staff schedules, holidays, buffers, prices, taxes and cancellation rules without affecting live bookings.
- Test edge cases. Book the last available slot, create an overlap attempt, change a time zone, cancel and refund, reschedule, and submit two simultaneous checkouts. For rentals, test adjacent check-in and check-out dates; for events, scan the same QR code twice.
- Measure the customer path. Check mobile layout, keyboard access, error messages, confirmation email timing and whether a customer can understand the final price before payment.
- Plan operations. Decide who receives notifications, who can edit bookings, how no-shows are recorded, where exports are stored and how you will restore data if an update fails.
- Launch gradually. Keep the old booking channel available for a short, clearly managed transition, then reconcile every booking in one calendar or order system.
Common pitfalls and how to avoid them
Comparing a promotional price with a renewal price
Several reported prices distinguish promotional and regular rates. Record both in your budget and set a renewal reminder; do not multiply a first-year discount across future years.
Best Value
- 5-in-1 Connectivity: Equipped with a 4K HDMI port, a 5 Gbps USB-C data port, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a USB C 100W PD-IN port. Note: The USB C 100W PD-IN port supports only charging and does not support data transfer devices such as headphones or speakers.
- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
Ignoring site limits
Some plans are sold for one, five or 100 sites. A lower price can be unsuitable for an agency or multisite network. Confirm whether staging domains count toward the limit.
Assuming synchronization is automatic
Two-way iCal support is specifically reported for MotoPress Hotel Booking, while calendar synchronization elsewhere may be an add-on or may not be stated. Test the direction, delay and conflict behavior before accepting reservations from multiple channels.
Choosing a generic appointment tool for inventory
Appointments consume a time slot; rooms and rentals consume an asset across a date range. If overlapping stays must be prevented, use an accommodation-oriented system rather than forcing appointment logic to represent units.

The under-150-ms LatePoint claim comes from one review and may not match your site. Measure the full booking page, scripts, payment return and confirmation flow with your own host and caching configuration.
Trusting a directory listing without checking availability
The reported BookingPress removal from WordPress.org on 1 February 2025 is unverified. Before deployment, confirm that the plugin is distributed through an active, trustworthy channel and that recent updates are available.
How to make the final choice
For a typical service business, compare Amelia, Simply Schedule Appointments and Bookly first; add Booknetic when staff coordination is central, BookingPress when a free tier is decisive, LatePoint when measured speed is a priority, and FluentBooking for consultant or agency workflows. For accommodation, compare MotoPress Hotel Booking and WP Booking System against your date, rate and channel requirements. For WooCommerce, evaluate WooCommerce Bookings and ARB inside a staging store. For ticketed events, test Eventnetic’s seat and QR workflow.
