For fans specifically seeking DOOM music, the best confirmed option is Mick Gordon’s announced performance at RADAR Festival 2027. RADAR says Gordon will perform the DOOM soundtrack with his custom DOOM Machine, a full live band and an orchestra. The festival lists its 2027 event for 30 July–1 August at Magna in the Sheffield area. The exact day, set time, set list and duration for Gordon’s performance have not been published, so check RADAR’s current lineup, ticket information and travel guidance before booking.

| PlayStation: The Concert | No DOOM music is identified in the official description. | A game-music production featuring music from God of War, The Last of Us, Horizon, Ghost of Tsushima and other PlayStation titles. | Not established for this comparison. | Do not treat the show as a DOOM concert unless a later official announcement names DOOM music. |

Why RADAR is the direct DOOM match
Mick Gordon is the announced performer
RADAR identifies Mick Gordon as the artist who will bring the DOOM soundtrack to its stage. That matters because the announcement is for the composer associated with the score, rather than an unnamed cover band, a general video-game orchestra or a playlist-based DJ set.
The production is built around the DOOM soundtrack
RADAR describes the presentation as the “actual composer” and “actual score,” alongside the DOOM Machine, a full live band and an orchestra. The combination suggests a concert arranged for live performance rather than a soundtrack played over venue speakers. The DOOM Machine is Gordon’s custom-built performance setup, and the announced band-and-orchestra lineup gives the show both amplified and symphonic components.

It is promoted as a first live stage performance
RADAR’s artist announcement says: “At RADAR 2027, Mick will unleash the DOOM soundtrack on stage for the very first time.” Read that as RADAR’s description of this announced event, not as a guarantee that no private, promotional or differently billed performance has ever occurred. For a ticketed public event, however, it is the clearest direct match currently confirmed in the official material available.
What RADAR has confirmed—and what it has not
The festival’s 2026 page capture lists the event dates as 30 July–1 August 2027 and the venue as Magna in the Sheffield area. The surfaced date text contains an apparent weekday/date inconsistency. Because of that discrepancy, do not infer Gordon’s performance day from a weekday label or assume that the entire festival schedule is final.
| Detail | Status | How to use the information |
|---|---|---|
| Festival dates | Listed as 30 July–1 August 2027 by RADAR. | Use the weekend range when planning availability, then recheck the live event page. |
| Venue | Magna in the Sheffield area. | Confirm the final venue address, entrances and transport information before travel. |
| Gordon’s performance day | Not stated. | Do not buy a single-day ticket on the assumption that Gordon plays that day. |
| Set time | Not stated. | Wait for the official timetable or festival app. |
| Set list | Not published. | Expect the DOOM soundtrack to be central, but do not promise specific tracks to anyone in your group. |
| Set duration | Not stated. | Plan around the full festival schedule rather than a guessed concert length. |
| Ticket price and availability | Not stated in the available announcement. | Use RADAR’s official ticket page for current prices, fees, ticket types and availability. |
How to judge any future DOOM soundtrack concert
When another event appears in search results, compare it against the same five questions. This prevents a general video-game concert from being mistaken for a DOOM show.
1. Is DOOM music explicitly named?
Look for DOOM in the promoter’s own lineup, artist or program description. “Video-game music” is not enough: the source should identify DOOM, a DOOM soundtrack, or a specific DOOM composer’s performance.
Rank #2
2. Is the original composer performing?
A composer appearance can mean a complete live set, a guest appearance or a conducting role. Read the wording carefully. RADAR names Gordon as the performer, but the available announcement does not say which individual tracks he will play.
3. What is the live format?
Separate a full band-and-orchestra production from playback, a tribute arrangement or a club set. The announced RADAR format includes the DOOM Machine, full live band and orchestra; use those details as a baseline when comparing later announcements.
4. Are the date and location usable?
Check the exact city, venue, performance day and entry requirements. A festival weekend is not the same as a confirmed set time. If a promoter lists only a broad date range, wait for the daily schedule before arranging non-refundable travel.

How to plan a RADAR visit step by step
- Start with the current official RADAR event page. Confirm that the 2027 listing still names Mick Gordon and still describes a DOOM performance. Festival pages can be updated as artists, stages and schedules develop.
- Check the ticket type before paying. Determine whether the ticket covers the full festival, a single day or a particular access tier. Because Gordon’s day is not yet stated, avoid choosing a one-day ticket solely from an assumption about his schedule.
- Review the timetable when it is released. Use the official lineup, festival app or timetable to identify the stage, day and set time. Save a local copy or screenshot in case mobile reception is poor at the venue.
- Verify venue and travel information. Confirm the final Magna address, entry gates, parking or public-transport instructions and any age, accessibility or bag rules published by RADAR. Do not rely on an old event page or an unverified social-media post.
- Allow time for festival entry. A festival schedule may include security checks, ticket scanning and a walk from the entrance to the relevant stage. Arrive early enough to handle those steps without missing the opening of the set.
- Check the loud-sound guidance. RADAR warns that the event may be loud and says earplugs are available on request. Decide whether you want to bring your own concert-rated earplugs, use the festival-provided option or carry both as a backup.
- Reconfirm shortly before departure. Recheck the artist page, timetable, ticket instructions and travel notices close to the event. This is especially important because the surfaced weekday labels are inconsistent and the exact performance assignment has not been published.
Sound, volume and hearing protection
A DOOM performance built around amplified electronics, a live band and an orchestra can be physically loud. RADAR’s own FAQ flags the possibility of high volume and offers earplugs on request. Hearing protection is therefore a practical part of the plan, not an unnecessary accessory.
Choosing what to wear
- Use concert earplugs designed to reduce sound while keeping music intelligible, rather than improvised foam or household substitutes.
- Insert them before the music starts, especially if you expect to stand near the stage or speakers.
- Keep the earplugs accessible in a pocket or small case instead of burying them in a bag.
- If you have an individual hearing condition, ask a qualified clinician for advice before attending a very loud event.
You can request earplugs from RADAR, but availability, distribution points and any limits should be confirmed in the festival’s current guidance. Bringing a suitable pair gives you an option if the collection point is busy.
What to bring and what to verify
Before leaving home
- Digital or printed ticket, plus the account or identification details required by the ticket provider.
- Earplugs and a protective case.
- Phone charger or power bank if the venue rules permit one.
- Weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes for a festival environment.
- Any prescribed medication in its original packaging, following the venue’s medication policy.
- A plan for getting back to your accommodation after the final set.
At the venue
- Check the information board or official app for timetable changes.
- Locate accessible facilities, first aid and exits when you arrive.
- Keep your ticket and phone secure in a zipped pocket or other reliable holder.
- Take breaks from the loudest area if your ears ring, hurt or feel blocked.
These are planning measures, not additional RADAR rules. The festival’s current entry and prohibited-items policy takes precedence.
Why other prominent game-music concerts are not DOOM substitutes
PlayStation: The Concert
The official description for PlayStation: The Concert names music from God of War, The Last of Us, Horizon, Ghost of Tsushima and other PlayStation properties. It is therefore relevant to people who enjoy game soundtracks broadly, but the description does not identify DOOM music. Unless a later official program adds DOOM, it should not be marketed or purchased as a DOOM concert.
Rank #4
ELDEN RING Symphonic Adventure
ELDEN RING Symphonic Adventure is a separate, game-specific symphonic production. Its official description concerns ELDEN RING and does not say that it includes DOOM. The orchestral format may appeal to the same audience, but format alone does not make it a DOOM event.
Use the distinction when searching
Search results often group together every orchestral or live-band game-music event. Before buying, open the promoter’s own page and look for the game title, composer, program and venue details. A general “video-game music” label is a starting point, not proof of a DOOM appearance.

If Gordon’s day is changed
Use the latest official timetable and ticket terms. Do not rely on a cached social post, an unofficial fan-made schedule or the weekday/date pairing that appeared in the earlier listing.
If the set is moved or shortened
Check RADAR’s announcements and app notifications for the replacement stage or time. Keep your ticket and confirmation emails until after the event in case the organizer publishes updated instructions.
Best Value
If the event sells out
Look for an official waitlist, authorized resale process or later ticket release. Avoid unverified sellers that cannot provide a ticket transfer recognized by the official provider. A secondary listing that merely says “Mick Gordon” is not proof that it covers the RADAR performance.
If another DOOM show is announced
Apply the five-point test above: explicit DOOM identification, original-composer involvement, live format, precise logistics and a published program. Compare the new announcement with RADAR rather than assuming that a larger orchestra or a different city automatically makes it better.
Useful search phrases
Fans commonly search for “DOOM soundtrack live,” “Mick Gordon DOOM concert” and “video game music concerts.” Those phrases can locate announcements, but each result still needs verification against the promoter’s official page. Search snippets can omit exclusions, outdated dates or the difference between a festival appearance and a dedicated concert.

RADAR Festival 2027 is the strongest confirmed choice for a DOOM fan because it explicitly announces Mick Gordon performing the DOOM soundtrack with the DOOM Machine, a full live band and an orchestra. Treat the listed 30 July–1 August festival range and Magna location as planning information, not a finished performance timetable: Gordon’s exact day, set time, track list and duration remain unannounced. Recheck the official RADAR schedule and ticket guidance before committing money or travel.
