Choose Car Dealer Simulator for the closest buy-low, improve, sell-high loop. Pick Car For Sale Simulator 2023 if you want negotiation, inspections, motorcycles, taxes and a growing dealership. Choose Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 for the deepest parts-level workshop, or My Summer Car if assembling and living with one vehicle matters more than trading.

That distinction matters because Used Cars Simulator combines several genres: vehicle flipping, light repair, driving, quests and open-world exploration. No single follow-up reproduces every system in exactly the same proportions, so the best next game depends on which part of the formula you want to emphasize.

At-a-glance: which game should you play next?

Game Release information Main loop Best for Main trade-off

What makes Used Cars Simulator a useful starting point?

The official Steam description presents Used Cars Simulator as a money-making game built around trading vehicles. You inspect used or stolen cars, judge their condition, negotiate a purchase, repair visible problems, install missing parts, wash and repaint the vehicle, then resell it. Driving is not just a menu transition: the game also includes quests, exploration, drifting and a physics-based sandbox.

#1 Best Overall
Car Mechanic Simulator (PS4) (PS4)
  • Endless gameplay, photorealistic graphics, 48 cars to get your hands dirty with (including licensed models from Jeep and Mazda) with 10+ tools to help you work on those cars
  • Multilevel car parking to store vehicles and Advanced Upgrade System to level up and spend points on upgrades
  • Path Test for car suspension, Test Track to check car condition (or just fool around on!) and Race Track to test car performance
  • Car auctions, paint shop with different paint types and liveries, Barn Finds and a Junkyard for scavenging parts and rusty cars

That mixture creates three possible reasons to look for another game:

  • You may want the same economic rhythm of finding an undervalued car, improving it and selling it for a margin.
  • You may prefer more structured dealership systems, including customers, financing-related decisions or a larger vehicle catalogue.
  • You may care less about profit and more about identifying parts, carrying out repairs and rebuilding a vehicle from the inside out.

Used Cars Simulator is an Early Access Windows release. Its developers say they are aiming for a full version in 2026 “if possible,” which is a target rather than a guaranteed date; features and requirements can change during development. The alternatives below are therefore best understood as different emphases, not definitive replacements for every system.

Car Dealer Simulator: the closest match for flipping cars

Why it is the nearest follow-up

Car Dealer Simulator is the clearest recommendation when the part you want to preserve is the buy-low, modify, sell-high loop. Its official Steam pitch is explicit: “Uncover a goldmine in the used car market! Sniff out deals, buy low, modify, and sell high.” That wording aligns directly with the core fantasy of turning neglected vehicles into profit.

How its loop differs in emphasis

The game frames the car as an investment. You are looking for a deal, deciding how much improvement is financially sensible, and trying to sell at the right moment. The open-world and management tags suggest that sourcing and moving vehicles happen in a broader environment rather than in a single static workshop menu.

  • Find an opportunity: Search the used market for a vehicle whose purchase price leaves room for improvement and resale.
  • Estimate the margin: Consider the cost and effort of modifications before committing your cash.
  • Improve selectively: Spend on changes that help the eventual sale instead of treating every car as a complete restoration.
  • Sell at a profit: The objective is not merely to own a better car; it is to complete a successful transaction.

Who should choose it

Choose this one if you liked the entrepreneurial rhythm of Used Cars Simulator more than its individual repair tasks. It is also the best fit for players who want a concise answer to “what game is most like the used-car flipping part?”

What you give up

The trade-off is mechanical granularity. A game organized around buying, modifying and selling does not promise the same parts-level depth as a dedicated workshop simulation. If your favorite moments involve diagnosing a fault, locating a specific component and rebuilding an engine, move to Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 instead.

Car For Sale Simulator 2023: the broadest dealership sandbox

More than a simple flip

Car For Sale Simulator 2023 expands the premise into a customer-facing dealership. Its Steam description covers finding bargains, negotiating with sellers, inspecting vehicles, repairing and repainting them, customizing the result, handling customer counteroffers and growing the business. It also adds banking and taxes, so the financial layer is wider than a single buy-and-resell transaction.

Vehicle variety

The listing specifies more than 50 cars and 15 motorcycles. That makes this the strongest choice if you want the inventory itself to feel varied rather than concentrating on one kind of automobile. Motorcycles also change how a collection of vehicles feels: you are evaluating a second category of machine while still applying the same commercial decisions.

The player-facing business cycle

  1. Search for stock: Look for cars or motorcycles that can be acquired at a favorable price.
  2. Negotiate: The seller interaction is part of the game rather than an invisible purchase calculation.
  3. Inspect: Use inspection information to decide whether the asking price and likely repair bill make sense.
  4. Repair and repaint: Correct faults and improve presentation before listing the vehicle.
  5. Respond to customers: Buyers can make counteroffers, forcing you to balance speed, margin and the risk of holding inventory.
  6. Expand the dealership: Reinvest in the business rather than treating each sale as an isolated event.

Who should choose it

This is the right next game when you enjoyed both the trading and the management sides of Used Cars Simulator. Choose it over Car Dealer Simulator if inspection reports, customer bargaining, motorcycles, banking and taxes sound like meaningful additions rather than distractions.

What you give up

Its breadth can make the workshop feel less central. You are managing a dealership, cash flow and customers as well as touching the vehicles. If you want every session to revolve around finding a mechanical fault and replacing a component, the narrower focus of Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 will feel more satisfying.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021: the deepest workshop choice

Scale of the garage

The official Steam listing describes a career with 72 cars and more than 4,000 unique parts. Those figures make it the most concrete recommendation for readers who define a “mechanic game” by the number of components they can inspect, remove, replace and assemble.

What you actually do

The career combines randomly generated orders with story missions. You can buy vehicles at auctions, discover barn finds, search junkyards and bring projects into the garage. Repairs are only one activity: the listing also includes testing, painting, tuning and complete rebuilding, along with skills and garage upgrades that expand what you can do.

Car Mechanic Simulator (PS4)
  • Endless gameplay, photorealistic graphics, 48 cars to get your hands dirty with (including licensed models from jeep and mazda) with 10+ tools to help you work on those cars.
  • Diagnose: Determine what is wrong before spending money on parts.
  • Disassemble: Remove components methodically so the damaged or worn item can be reached.
  • Replace or repair: Use the parts system to restore the vehicle rather than applying a single generic “fix” button.
  • Test: Check the result before returning the car to a customer or moving on to another project.
  • Paint and tune: Finish the build cosmetically or adjust performance after the mechanical work is complete.
  • Upgrade the garage: Invest in skills and facilities that make later jobs possible or more efficient.

Why it is different from Used Cars Simulator

The financial goal is secondary. You may acquire cars through auctions, barns or junkyards, but the defining satisfaction comes from understanding the vehicle and completing the rebuild. There is less emphasis on roaming an open world as a dealer and more on a repeatable workshop workflow.

Who should choose it

Pick this game if your favorite Used Cars Simulator activities were repairing dents, installing missing parts and making a neglected vehicle roadworthy. It is also the safest recommendation for someone searching specifically for the most detailed garage rather than the closest dealership.

My Summer Car: a construction-and-survival alternative

Building one car instead of trading many

PC Gamer describes My Summer Car as a mechanic-focused game in which you construct a driveable car down to small components, then use it in a rural Finnish setting. The central relationship is with one vehicle and the surrounding life simulation, not with a rotating inventory of cars waiting for resale.

Why it can appeal after Used Cars Simulator

The appeal is the intimacy of assembly. You are responsible for how the car is put together, how it is maintained and whether it remains usable while you handle the rest of the game’s survival and driving demands. That creates a stronger sense of ownership than a typical dealership loop.

Why it is a looser fit

Trading, negotiation and dealership expansion are not the reason to choose it. Survival and rural driving sit alongside mechanical construction, so the pace and objectives differ substantially from a profit-driven car simulator. Choose it only if “build and live with a car” sounds better than “buy and flip cars.”

Trading versus mechanics: compare the four choices by activity

Activity Car Dealer Simulator Car For Sale Simulator 2023 Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 My Summer Car
Buying and reselling Core activity Core activity with customer counteroffers Present through auctions and projects, but not the main identity Not the central loop
Negotiation and inspection Market-focused deal hunting Explicit seller negotiation and inspection reports Job diagnosis rather than dealership bargaining Not the central focus
Parts-level repair Modification-focused Repair and customization within a broader business Strongest focus; more than 4,000 unique parts listed Detailed assembly of a driveable car
Vehicle variety Used-car inventory More than 50 cars and 15 motorcycles listed 72 cars listed One primary build in a life-simulation setting
Open-world or exploration feel Open-world and management tags City exploration listed Garage, auctions, barns and junkyard activities Rural Finnish setting and driving
Business expansion Management-oriented progression Dealership expansion, banking and taxes Skills and garage upgrades Not the main progression structure

Choose by the part of Used Cars Simulator you want to keep

If you want the same “buy low, sell high” feeling

Start with Car Dealer Simulator. Its official pitch states the loop directly, and its narrower scope keeps the economic decision visible: every modification must make sense against the eventual sale.

  • Advanced Upgrades - Start from a small workshop and upgrade it to a full-sized 3-lifter gem as you level up and spend your points on new tools and parts

If you want more decisions around customers and money

Choose Car For Sale Simulator 2023. Negotiation, inspection reports, counteroffers, dealership expansion, banking and taxes create more business administration than a simple flip.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

If you want to become absorbed in the garage

Choose Car Mechanic Simulator 2021. Its 72-car, 4,000-plus-part scale is the strongest evidence of workshop breadth in this group, and its auction, barn-find and junkyard sources provide projects beyond ordinary customer orders.

If you want assembly, driving and survival together

Choose My Summer Car. It is the least similar economically, but the strongest alternative for players who want a vehicle to be built and maintained as part of a wider rural life.

A practical way to decide before you buy

  1. Identify your most-played activity. If you spent most of your time searching for bargains and reselling, prioritize the two dealer games. If you spent most of your time repairing, prioritize the workshop games.
  2. Decide whether customers are fun or friction. Counteroffers, taxes and dealership expansion add decisions in Car For Sale Simulator 2023; they can also interrupt a player who only wants to work on cars.
  3. Decide how much mechanical detail you need. A modification-and-sale loop is faster to understand. A parts-based career demands more attention but offers more depth for each repair.
  4. Decide whether you need an open world. Used Cars Simulator mixes driving, quests and exploration with trading. My Summer Car also makes driving part of a larger setting, while Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 keeps the garage and project sources central.
  5. Check the current edition and requirements. Store pages can change their system requirements, pricing and availability by region. This is especially important for an Early Access title whose development plan is not final.

What these games can—and cannot—teach you

All four games can make mechanical ideas more understandable by letting you inspect, assemble, repair or test vehicles in a simulated environment. However, their official listings do not establish that playing them trains someone for real-world automotive repair. Treat them as games, not substitutes for a service manual, supervised instruction, safety equipment or a qualified mechanic.

How the Early Access status affects your choice

Used Cars Simulator remains an Early Access Windows title, and its developers describe a possible full release in 2026. That means the feature mix, balance and technical requirements may evolve. If you want a more settled alternative today, choose among the released titles according to your preferred loop rather than waiting for a promised feature. If you specifically enjoy watching a simulator grow, the unfinished status may itself be part of the appeal.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Bottom line

Car Dealer Simulator is the best next game for most Used Cars Simulator players who want trading. Move to Car For Sale Simulator 2023 for a larger dealership-management layer and motorcycles. Choose Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 when workshop depth matters more than open-world dealing, and choose My Summer Car only when building, driving and survival are the experience you want.
