Check compatibility before changing graphics
Do this check after installing or when evaluating a prospective PC. It prevents you from trying to solve a hardware or operating-system mismatch with an in-game slider.
- Press Windows key + R, enter
msinfo32, and press Enter to open System Information. - In System Summary, note the Windows version, processor model, and installed physical memory (RAM).
- Open the display information in System Information, or use Device Manager > Display adapters, and record the graphics adapter name.
- Compare those entries with Windows 10/11, the 2.1 GHz Core i3-or-equivalent CPU, 4 GB RAM, and Intel HD 4000 minimums listed on Steam.
- Confirm that the drive containing the installation has at least 5 GB free. Leave additional headroom for patches rather than treating 5 GB as a long-term capacity recommendation.
If your system falls below a listed minimum, settings changes cannot establish compatibility that the developer has not documented. If it meets only the minimum, plan to test conservatively and close unnecessary programs before launching.

Build a reliable baseline

- Start the game with its default settings. If the game offers a reset-to-default command, use it before recording your first values.
- Use your monitor’s native resolution when the game offers it. The 1240×720 figure is a minimum requirement, not a target resolution.
- Choose one repeatable section of gameplay: the same stage, encounter, or menu transition. Spend enough time in it to observe normal movement and combat rather than judging a single loading moment.
- Record the resolution, every option that is visible, and what you observe: sustained sluggishness, brief hitches, uneven motion, or an image that is difficult to read. If you have an overlay that you already trust, note its behavior, but do not treat an overlay reading as a published benchmark for the game.
Keep the original values in a text note or screenshot. A change is only useful if you can undo it.
For a fair comparison, keep the display resolution, scene, and approximate test duration constant. If another player joins, a menu changes, or a large update installs between runs, note that too; those are differences in the test conditions, not proof that one graphics option caused a change. Separate recurring behavior from a one-off hitch by repeating the same section before drawing a conclusion. Start with resolution and readability
Resolution has a direct effect on both workload and legibility, so test it deliberately. Begin at native resolution. If performance is consistently poor and the game provides a lower resolution, reduce it by one available step, replay the same section, and inspect small text, character outlines, and attack effects. Stop lowering resolution when the image becomes uncomfortable to read; a nominally smoother picture is not an improvement if you cannot distinguish gameplay elements.

Evaluate any frame-pacing or synchronization option conditionally
If your build provides a synchronization or frame-rate control, test it after resolution and detail changes, again using the same scene. Watch for the behavior you are trying to correct—uneven motion, visible tearing, or an imposed limit—rather than enabling a control automatically. The game’s official pages do not specify a target frame rate, so do not present any cap as a guaranteed 60 FPS solution.
Retest after every change
Apply one change, return to the identical section, and compare motion and clarity. If the result is worse, revert immediately. Keep the test sequence simple: baseline, one changed value, same scene, observation, then either keep or undo. Do not lower resolution and several quality controls at once, because that makes it impossible to tell which change mattered.
