You can find a 50- to 58-inch 4K TV near $300 when a promotion brings it into budget, but those prices are snapshots—not dependable everyday prices. Recent deal coverage put the 50-inch Roku Select Series 4K QLED at $249, the 55-inch Roku Select Series at $269, and a 58-inch Hisense R6 Roku TV at $238. Check the exact model and live checkout terms before choosing; if picture technology matters more than screen size, a 55-inch Mini-LED option was listed above budget at $349.
Which TVs have been listed near $300?
These are reported U.S. deal prices, not verified live offers or hands-on test results. The listed amounts can change, and product-family names do not guarantee identical features across sizes or model years.
| Model and size | Reported price and retailer | What the listing described |
|---|---|---|
| Roku Select Series 4K QLED, 50-inch | $249 at Amazon, reported in Tom’s Guide early Prime Day coverage on October 6–7, 2026; the cited prior price was $299. | 4K QLED. Verify the exact model’s ports and other features on its live listing. |
| Roku Select Series 4K QLED, 55-inch | $269 at Best Buy, reported in Tom’s Guide’s September 2026 deal coverage; the cited prior price was $349. | 4K, AirPlay support, three HDMI ports, and several smart-home voice-control integrations were described for this listing. Confirm the exact variant before relying on these details. |
| Hisense R6 4K Roku TV, 58-inch | $238 at Walmart, reported in Tom’s Guide’s September 2026 deal coverage; the cited prior price was $298. | The listing described HDR support, Dolby Vision and HDR10, a low-lag gaming mode, and DTS Studio Sound. Check the model suffix and live specifications. |
For comparison, Tom’s Guide listed a 55-inch TCL QM5K Mini-LED 4K TV at $349 at Best Buy in its September 2026 coverage. That is a stretch-budget option, not a sub-$300 pick. The same coverage described Google TV and Dolby Vision.
Prices and listing details come from Tom’s Guide’s September 2026 deal coverage and its October 6–7, 2026 early Prime Day roundup. Confirm the seller, stock, shipping cost, and return terms before buying.

How should you choose between a larger screen and better picture hardware?
Choose size and value for everyday streaming
If the priority is getting a large 4K screen for a limited budget, a sale-priced 55- or 58-inch model may be a better fit than a smaller set. Match the screen to your room and seating distance, and compare the exact price at checkout rather than assuming the reported deal is still available.
Consider stretching for Mini-LED
The TCL QM5K example costs $49 more than a $300 ceiling at its reported $349 price. Mini-LED is a different backlight approach from the QLED label on the Roku deal listing, but those names alone do not establish which set looks better. Decide whether the additional display hardware and Google TV are worth spending beyond your target; the available coverage does not provide directly comparable test results for these deal examples.

Do not treat HDR labels as a picture-quality verdict
Check the exact model’s resolution and supported HDR formats. For instance, Hisense’s specification page identifies the 55-inch H5 as a 4K UHD Roku TV with 3,840 × 2,160 pixels, Dolby Vision HDR, and HDR10. That is a different model family from the R6 deal listing, so its specifications should not be transferred to an R6 set. See Hisense’s H5 product specifications.

- Confirm the full model number. Match the retailer listing to the model suffix and size you intend to buy. Features can vary among sizes and model years, even within one product family.
- Check the picture and motion specifications. Verify 4K resolution, supported HDR formats, native refresh rate, and any gaming mode for that exact set. A low-lag mode is not the same specification as a high refresh rate.
- Count the connections you need. Check the HDMI port count and any specific casting or device-support requirements on the exact listing. The 55-inch Roku deal was described with three HDMI ports and AirPlay, but do not assume those details apply to every Select Series size.
- Choose a smart TV platform that suits your household. The cited candidates include Roku and Google TV. Check the apps and controls you use, rather than choosing by platform name alone.
- Compare the complete checkout terms. Confirm the current price, seller, stock, delivery charges, and return policy. A deal article’s reference price is not a guarantee of today’s price or availability.
Roku’s support page lists 2026 branded models 55RADX and 65RADX and says its Hiro Roku TV line spans 24 to 65 inches, with HD, FHD, and 4K options. It does not establish that those models are the same as the Roku Select Series deal listings. See Roku’s branded TV product information.

How much confidence should you put in the listed prices?
Treat each number as a dated report, not a market-wide price or a guaranteed offer. In its 2026 buying guide, Consumer Reports lists the Roku 55R6A5R at $430; that is a different price reference from the promotional Roku listings above, and it does not confirm the live price of those deals. Compare full model numbers rather than relying on a shared brand or series name. Consumer Reports’ guide also outlines comparison factors such as UHD picture, HDR, viewing angle, motion blur, sound, versatility, privacy, security, and reliability, but it does not provide directly comparable test results for every deal example in this article. See Consumer Reports Buying Guide 2026.
What if your budget is fixed at $300?
Start with the exact model and total cost, not the advertised discount. If a 50-, 55-, or 58-inch candidate is still near your ceiling after delivery, compare the features you will actually use: streaming platform, HDMI connections, HDR formats, and gaming needs. If the available set does not meet those requirements, waiting for another promotion may be preferable to stretching for features you do not need—or buying a larger screen with compromises you will notice.

What if you can spend a little more?
The cited 55-inch TCL QM5K Mini-LED listing at $349 is one comparison point above budget. A smaller 42-inch Amazon Ember 4-Series was reported at $329 by Tom’s Guide’s budget TV guide, with 4K, HDR10+, and 60 Hz; that guide noted limitations in brightness and suitability for current-generation gaming. These are not sub-$300 recommendations. They show why it is worth weighing screen size, display features, and gaming needs instead of treating every TV near the price ceiling as interchangeable. See Tom’s Guide’s budget TV guide.
