For laptop work on the move, the Logitech MX Anywhere 3S is the stronger choice if you want configurable controls, a versatile scroll wheel and multi-device pairing. The slimmer Logitech Pebble Mouse 2 M350s is easier to pack and keeps things simpler. Neither shape suits every hand, so choose for the way you carry and use your mouse—not portability alone.
How to choose a mobile mouse
The central tradeoff is compactness versus sustained comfort and controls. A mouse that slips easily into a pocket may feel too small for long work sessions; a more capable travel mouse can still be the wrong choice if its shape does not fit your hand.
- Size and shape: Consider whether you will carry it in a pocket or laptop bag, and whether a compact or slim, low-profile shape feels natural to you.
- Connection and package: Check that your laptop or tablet supports the mouse’s connection method. Bluetooth avoids needing a receiver, while a USB receiver can be useful if Bluetooth is unavailable—but verify whether one is included with the exact model or package.
- Power: USB-C charging means recharging a built-in battery; replaceable batteries avoid charging but need spares. Treat manufacturer runtime figures as estimates, not guarantees.
- Work controls: Look for the scroll behavior, button customization and device switching you will actually use. Quiet clicks can also matter in shared spaces.
- Surface and workload: Consider where you will use the mouse and whether its tracking suits your normal work. Productivity and browsing needs differ from competitive gaming demands.
- Price and availability: Both vary by market and date. Check local listings for the exact model and package before buying.

Logitech MX Anywhere 3S: more control for mobile work
RTINGS names the MX Anywhere 3S its “Best Wireless Mouse For Travel” in recommendations updated August 19, 2026. The page says it replaced the Razer Pro Click Mini because that model was no longer available. RTINGS describes the Logitech as compact and symmetrical, with Bluetooth, pairing for up to three devices, USB-C charging, button customization and free-scroll mode. The MX Anywhere 3S is aimed at productivity and everyday browsing. RTINGS’ review notes good build quality, quiet clicks relative to the previous generation, and a wheel that switches between notched and free-scrolling behavior. It also identifies two meaningful limitations: the wheel has no left/right tilt inputs, and the mouse is not designed for fast-paced competitive gaming. Check the receiver and software details
The standard model connects over Bluetooth and supports Logitech’s Logi Bolt receiver, but RTINGS says that receiver is not included in the standard consumer box. The Business variant is listed with a receiver, so confirm the exact SKU and package contents if you need USB connectivity.
Logitech’s 2023 specification sheet lists compatibility with Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, iPadOS and Android. It says Options+ is required for Flow and additional software customization; basic functions work without the software on the listed non-Windows and non-macOS systems. Understand the battery and surface claims
Logitech’s 2023 specification sheet says, “MX Anywhere 3S stays powered up to 70 days on a full charge.” That is the manufacturer’s estimate, not an independently established runtime; Logitech says battery life may vary based on user and computing conditions.

Logitech Pebble Mouse 2 M350s: slim and simple to carry
The Pebble Mouse 2 M350s is a sensible alternative if easy packing matters more to you than extra productivity features. RTINGS positions it as a simpler, more affordable portable option without the premium materials or added features of the MX Anywhere 3S, and highlights its slim, lightweight design. “More affordable” is a relative positioning, not a current price: the cited sources do not establish today’s street price or availability in your market.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose the MX Anywhere 3S if you want a compact productivity mouse with configurable buttons, two scroll modes and the ability to switch among up to three paired devices. Make sure its shape fits your hand and check the package if you need a USB receiver.
- Choose the Pebble Mouse 2 M350s if slim, lightweight carry and a simpler design matter more than the MX Anywhere 3S’s extra controls. Check local availability and price, since the cited recommendations do not confirm either today.
- Reconsider both if you need a larger shape for extended sessions or a mouse built for demanding competitive gaming. Portability alone cannot establish comfort, and the MX Anywhere 3S is specifically not intended for that gaming workload.
