The important qualification is timing. The official listing shows a $649.99 price but also says availability is coming in Fall 2026. Treat that amount as a listed price, not a guaranteed delivered total. Before paying, confirm that the page still accepts orders in your region, whether shipping is extra, what the return window is and whether the cabinet is supplied flat-packed or assembled.
Supreme is not automatically best for every room. Its height demands a ceiling and doorway check, and a larger cabinet needs more permanent floor space than a bartop. If two people will play often, however, the larger panel and screen generally provide a more natural shared experience than a compact tabletop unit.
When Deluxe makes more sense
Street Fighter II Deluxe is the practical alternative for a home that cannot accommodate the tallest cabinet. It is described as a five-foot, HS-5-inspired machine, so it occupies less vertical space while retaining a dedicated two-player panel and the same headline online functions advertised for Supreme. Its 17-inch BOE monitor is smaller, but still intended for a stand-up arcade posture rather than desk use.

Ask the seller to identify every Street Fighter entry, not merely to repeat “Street Fighter II” in the title.
Pay particular attention to the panel and riser arrangement. Arcade1Up describes Deluxe as having a faithfully recreated layout, while Supreme is described as using authentic arcade controls. Those phrases communicate design intent, not a measurement of button force, joystick travel or player spacing. Look for clear photographs of the shipped control deck and verify whether a riser is included before comparing totals.
Big Blue: a used-market decision
Big Blue is a legacy Arcade1Up Street Fighter II model rather than the safest new-retail default. Its owner manual is the useful reference for physical planning: the assembled cabinet dimensions are stated without the riser. Marketplace listings may instead quote the cabinet alone, the cabinet on a riser or a box that has not been assembled, so ask the seller exactly which configuration the measurements describe.

Condition matters more than the name on the side panel. Request photographs of the power connection, screen while running, all six-button positions for both players, joystick tops and the inside of the control deck if possible. Ask whether the original board is installed, whether Wi-Fi functions if the machine was sold with online features, and whether any controls have been replaced. A low asking price can disappear once a missing riser, damaged panel or unavailable replacement part is added.
Big Blue can be a good choice when you specifically want its cabinet style and find a local unit that can be tested. It is a poor choice when the seller cannot demonstrate the display, controls or board. Arrange collection or a return option whenever practical; shipping a large cabinet with unknown damage is a bigger risk than buying a documented unit in person.
Evercade Alpha Street Fighter for tight spaces
Evercade Alpha Street Fighter is a bartop, not a shortened stand-up machine. The product reference specifies an 8-inch high-resolution IPS display in a 4:3 format, and the design is officially licensed. Street Fighter II Champion Edition is among the built-in games. GamesRadar+ measured the unit at 16.5 inches tall and, after two weeks of use, described an illuminated swappable marquee and cartridge expansion.
That format suits a desk, shelf, office or bedroom where a floor-standing cabinet would be impractical. It also changes the playing experience. You need a stable surface at a comfortable seated height, enough depth for the controls and a nearby power outlet. Two adults can play, but the compact panel and small screen are less suitable when spectators need to read the action from across a room.
Choose Alpha when portability and footprint are the priority, not when you want the visual presence of a full arcade cabinet. Confirm exactly which cartridge is included, what additional cartridges are compatible and whether the seller’s regional bundle matches the product reference. The built-in Champion Edition entry should not be treated as proof that every other Street Fighter revision is included.

“Street Fighter II” is a family of releases, not one interchangeable game. Champion Edition, Hyper Fighting, Turbo and Super Turbo can differ in character rosters, speed, balancing, move behavior and tournament conventions. A cabinet can therefore be excellent for one player and disappointing for another even when both listings use the same headline.

Use this verification process before ordering:
- Open the seller’s complete game-list page rather than relying on the product title.
- Write down the full revision names exactly as displayed, including subtitles and regional wording.
- Check whether the list describes built-in games, downloadable games or a cartridge requirement.
- For a used cabinet, photograph the game’s selection screen and compare it with the seller’s written list.
- Keep a copy of the advertised list with your order confirmation in case the delivered software differs.
The current Supreme and Deluxe references establish a total of 14 Capcom games each, but they do not, in the supplied material, establish the complete revision-by-revision list. Treat any retailer list that adds or removes titles from the official page as a configuration difference that needs clarification.
Evaluate the two-player control panel
Street Fighter II is unusually sensitive to control layout because both players need six attack buttons, a joystick and enough elbow room to play simultaneously. Supreme and Deluxe explicitly advertise Wi-Fi multiplayer and leaderboards. That makes them the least ambiguous choices when remote competition or ranking features are central to your purchase. You still need a working home network, current service support and a board that has not been replaced or modified.
Do not transfer those assumptions to Big Blue or another older cabinet. The supplied information does not establish that every Big Blue unit has the same online board, firmware or service access. Ask the seller to demonstrate the online menu and a completed connection, and check whether the feature depends on an account, a specific region or a service that can change over time.
For a cabinet intended only for local two-player matches, online support should not outweigh a damaged panel, poor screen or missing parts. Prioritize the hardware you will use every session, then treat network features as a bonus unless you have confirmed them live.

Plan the room before buying
Measure the actual route from delivery point to the final location, not just the empty patch of floor. Record ceiling clearance, doorway width, stair turns, elevator dimensions and the depth available behind the players. Include the riser if the cabinet uses one, and leave enough space to stand without blocking a door or heating vent.
Use the published dimensions as a starting point, then add packaging and maneuvering allowance. A cabinet that fits its final wall may still fail at a narrow doorway. For a bartop, measure the furniture surface, its weight rating and the distance from the seated player’s eyes to the screen. A 4:3 display presents a different viewing shape from a widescreen television, so do not judge suitability by diagonal size alone.
Decide where the power cable will run before the cabinet arrives. Avoid placing it where the cable crosses a walkway, and leave access to the power switch and rear ventilation. If you plan to move the machine seasonally, choose a location where two people can safely lift or roll it without twisting the control panel.

Before checkout, confirm the shipping region, plug and power-supply specification, import charges, return address, damage-claim deadline and warranty issuer. Keep screenshots of the listing’s game count, accessories and promised delivery window.
Ask whether the package includes the riser, marquee parts, control-panel hardware, assembly tools and printed instructions. If a retailer uses a stock photo, request a photograph of the exact box or configuration being shipped. For a used purchase, record the serial label and agree in writing which accessories remain with the cabinet.

Assembly and first-day testing
Set aside a clean assembly area and have a second adult available for large panels. Do not force screws into misaligned holes; loosen adjacent fasteners, square the panels and tighten gradually. Keep every spare screw and bracket until the machine has passed testing.
- Inspect the carton before opening and photograph crushed corners or punctures.
- Inventory panels, controls, power parts, marquee pieces, riser components and instructions.
