5. Add multiplayer only after the client works
Every player must use the same Minecraft version, loader family, loader build where required, pack version, and dependency set. For Star Wars Expansion, the listing’s multiplayer statement is encouraging, but you still need identical files on each client and server. Multiplayer and dedicated-server checks

“Incompatible version” or the mod does not appear
Check that the instance is running the exact game version and loader named by the file. A 1.20.1 Forge profile will not load a 1.7.10 pack, and a NeoForge profile will not automatically accept a Forge mod. Reinstall the correct loader in a fresh instance instead of renaming the jar.
The game crashes during startup
Read the crash report for the first named mod or missing dependency. Remove optional additions, launch the unmodified pack, and then add extras one at a time. If the crash remains, compare the installed file with the listing’s required loader and dependency versions.

A server rejects a player
Compare the client and server mod folders, configuration files, Minecraft version, loader build, and pack revision. A server may reject a player for one missing dependency or a different file hash. Reinstalling the same exported profile on every machine is safer than copying individual files by hand.

Stop using the updated profile, restore the pre-update backup, and test the new version on a copy. Never open the only copy of a long-running world with a changed mod list.
The pack runs poorly
First remove shaders and unrelated visual mods, lower render distance, and test the pack’s default configuration. Legacy 1.7.10 packs can behave differently from modern profiles, so avoid assuming that a performance setting recommended for 1.20.1 applies to them.
How much trust to place in older “best of” lists
