For a different product, do not buy from the words “S23 series” alone. Confirm that the listing names Galaxy S23 Ultra, covers the curved edges without interfering with your case, and explains how its fingerprint and touch performance are maintained.

Samsung’s official EF-US918 film: what is documented

On Samsung Gulf’s product page, Samsung states: “Two sheets of Front Protection Film are enclosed.” The same page says: “It comes with an installation frame that lets you align the protector precisely and to keep bubbles away.” Read those as product-description language, not as an independent test of bubble resistance.
Samsung’s Japanese accessories release, dated April 20, 2023, likewise describes a high-transparency film for the Galaxy S23 Ultra, two front sheets, an installation set, fingerprint-sensor compatibility, and high touch sensitivity. The Korean support guidance identifies EF-US918 as the official S23 Ultra film code family and also describes a two-film kit. Regional packaging and service conditions can change, so use the page for your market when possible.
Does the S23 Ultra come with a screen protector already installed?
Samsung’s support guidance says the S23 series was not supplied with a pre-applied display film. The cited service information concerns Korea, so it should not be treated as a universal statement about every retail region or carrier package. In practical terms, inspect your unopened phone and local box contents rather than assuming a factory film is present.

If you want protection from the first day, purchase a compatible protector before opening the phone or prepare a clean installation area. A phone may have temporary shipping material or a removable display label; those are not the same as a fitted, use-ready screen protector.
Why the S23 Ultra’s curved screen changes the decision

Protect fingerprint and touch performance
The S23 Ultra’s fingerprint reader operates beneath the display. Samsung describes its own film as compatible with fingerprint sensing and as maintaining touch sensitivity. For any other product, look for explicit S23 Ultra fingerprint guidance, then follow the maker’s instructions after installation. If the reader becomes unreliable, removing and reinstalling the film is not the first step; check for dust, a lifted edge, or a setting that needs the fingerprint registered again through the phone’s security menu.

- Prepare a controlled workspace. Work indoors on a clean, stable surface away from fans, open windows, and loose fabric. Wash and dry your hands.
- Remove the case and clean the phone. Powering the phone off is optional, but it prevents accidental taps while you work. Wipe the display with the supplied cleaner or a lint-free cloth, then remove every visible speck with the included dust-removal strip.

- Press out remaining air. Use the supplied squeegee or a wrapped card, moving from the center toward the edges with light, even strokes. Do not use a sharp object that can cut the film or scratch the display.
- Inspect the perimeter and sensor area. Confirm that no edge is folded, that the earpiece and cameras are clear, and that the film is not covering a sensor opening.
- Allow the specified settling time. Some flexible films show small moisture marks or edge changes while they settle; follow the maker’s instructions instead of lifting the protector repeatedly.
- Test before replacing the case. Swipe across the entire display, type in several areas, and unlock with the fingerprint reader. If the case pushes the edge, remove it and reassess compatibility before trimming or forcing the protector.
Troubleshooting bubbles, lifting, and fingerprint problems
Bubbles remain after installation
First distinguish an air bubble from dust. A bubble that moves when you press toward an edge may be air; a fixed dot usually indicates contamination beneath the adhesive. Follow the product’s rework instructions. Lifting the protector repeatedly can introduce more dust and deform a flexible film.
An edge lifts when the case is installed

The film is scratched or contaminated during fitting
Do not treat a damaged installation as a product-failure test. Samsung’s Korean guidance says that, under its local service terms, bubbles, lifting, contamination, or misalignment caused during self-application are not covered for exchange or refund. Those terms apply to the cited Korean service process and should not be generalized to other countries.
Official application and regional support
Samsung Korea’s support material discusses service-center application, proof or product identification for official films, and local warranty conditions. If professional installation is important, ask Samsung support in your country whether an equivalent service exists and what documentation is required. The Korean process, fees, eligibility, and warranty treatment may not apply elsewhere.
For product identification, Samsung’s regional pages are more dependable than a marketplace title copied from another country.
