Start with Balance for everyday gaming, switch to Eco when battery life matters more than peak responsiveness, and use the higher-performance modes only when a specific game needs them. Lower brightness and refresh rate as needed, and adjust Game Space’s notification and anti-mistouch controls to reduce interruptions without hiding alerts you rely on.
One important qualification: the official REDMAGIC sources available for this guide do not establish a REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ release, region, software build, or exact settings menu. The guidance below describes REDMAGIC’s general Game Space features, not a verified menu map for that model. Check your own phone’s software for the options and labels that are actually available.
Choose a performance mode for the session
REDMAGIC describes Game Space as the place to configure individual games and open an in-game overlay. Its performance modes involve trade-offs rather than a universally best choice: higher performance can mean more heat and power use, while Eco can limit features to conserve battery. These are the company’s general descriptions, not independent tests or confirmed REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ settings.
| Mode | When to use it | Trade-off described by REDMAGIC |
|---|---|---|
| Eco | Longer sessions when endurance matters more than peak performance. | Can disable features such as Wi-Fi low latency or limit maximum refresh rate to 60 Hz. |
| Balance | Everyday play; a sensible starting point for most games. | Retains most features and allows CPU and GPU clocks to rise when needed. |
| Rise | When a particular game needs more performance than your usual setting provides. | Targets higher performance; no model-specific battery, temperature, or frame-rate results are established here. |
| Diablo | Short sessions when a game needs the highest performance option available. | Targets higher performance and can generate more heat, so REDMAGIC describes it as suited to short use. |
Try Balance first, then change modes only if you notice a game needs either more performance or better endurance. Do not assume a mode will deliver a particular frame rate or number of extra battery hours: the available official guidance provides no controlled measurements for the titled model.

Adjust display settings to balance smoothness and battery
Brightness and refresh rate affect the balance between visibility, smoothness, and power use. REDMAGIC recommends keeping brightness low and choosing a refresh rate suited to the game. If a game does not need the highest available refresh rate, lowering it is a practical way to favor endurance; Eco mode may cap the maximum at 60 Hz, according to REDMAGIC’s general description, but that cap is not verified for a REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ build.
Display enhancements also have a cost. REDMAGIC says Enhanced Color Mode uses more battery. Its walkthrough describes Screen Energy Saving Mode this way: “Screen Energy Saving Mode reduces your screen’s power consumption, ideal for longer gaming sessions when your charger isn’t nearby.” That is vendor guidance, not an independent measurement of the effect on this phone.

Reduce heat during demanding sessions
Higher-performance modes can produce more heat, and REDMAGIC specifically cautions that Diablo can run hotter. Use demanding modes selectively rather than as the default for every game. The company also suggests a smartphone cooler as an option for heat management; no particular cooler model or fit for a REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ is established here.

Set notification controls without losing important alerts
REDMAGIC’s Game Space walkthrough describes Anti-Disturbance Mode options that change notification presentation and input behavior. Depending on what your software offers, you may be able to make alerts less intrusive or reduce accidental swipes while playing. These option names and their availability are not confirmed for a REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ build.
Make incoming messages less intrusive
The Barrage Message option presents notifications as smaller rounded rectangles that move across the screen. This can make an alert less disruptive than a conventional notification, while still showing that something arrived. Consider whether the preview exposes information you would rather keep private on screen.

Limit accidental access to the notification shade
REDMAGIC describes anti-mistouch controls that can require a second swipe to access the notification tab, hide the status bar during a game, or restrict full-screen gestures. These can help prevent an accidental swipe from interrupting play, but hiding or restricting access can also make it harder to see or reach alerts. Choose a setting that preserves access to notifications you need, especially for time-sensitive messages.
Try these battery troubleshooting steps
If the battery drains quickly outside a particular game, REDMAGIC Support’s general advice is to clear unused applications running in the background. This is a basic troubleshooting step, not a model-specific diagnosis; the support article does not identify a cause or quantify how much battery it may save.
Optional inputs and accessories
REDMAGIC says X Gravity supports controllers, keyboards, and mice generally. That does not establish compatibility with a specific accessory or confirm how X Gravity works on the titled model. Check device and accessory compatibility before buying or connecting anything.
For cooling, the official guidance supports only a category-level suggestion: a smartphone gaming cooler may help with heat management. It does not establish a compatible model or product listing for a REDMAGIC 12 Pro+.
