There isn’t enough verified evidence to call these the definitive five best QLED TVs of 2026. The current candidates below are better treated as a practical shortlist: the TCL X11L and Hisense U7SG have current independent-guide support, while the TCL QM6K, TCL QM7L, and Samsung QN80H/QN70H suit different priorities. Match the model to your room, size, budget, and gaming needs, then confirm the exact regional model and price before buying.
How to choose a QLED TV in 2026
“QLED” describes the use of quantum dots, not a single backlight design or performance tier. Some QLED sets use Mini LED backlighting; others do not. A Mini LED backlight can provide more precise local dimming, but model specifications and independent testing matter more than the label alone.
Start with the room and primary use. A bright room for sports or gaming may reward higher brightness and motion features. For dark-room movies, black levels and accurate image processing may matter more. Also check the screen size, local price, HDR formats, and the HDMI ports available on the specific size and regional SKU.
QLED TVs to consider
TCL X11L: premium Mini LED candidate
RTINGS’ QLED guide lists the TCL X11L as replacing the Sony BRAVIA 9 on September 11, 2026. That is an independent-guide recommendation, not a claim that the X11L is best for every buyer. TCL identifies it as an SQD-Mini LED TV and advertises up to 20,736 precise dimming zones and HDR 10,000 nits in its global catalog. Those are manufacturer-published maximum specifications, not independent measurements or a standardized comparison with other brands. RTINGS’ QLED guide; TCL global TV catalog.

Hisense U7SG: current independent-guide pick
RTINGS says the U7SG replaced the TCL QM7K in June 2026, and its September 11 update again notes the change. RTINGS’ stated reasons were higher brightness and better processing at about the same price. This is RTINGS’ comparative assessment; the available evidence does not establish a live price or a winner for every room and use. See RTINGS’ QLED recommendations.

In its notable-mention discussion, RTINGS compares the QM6K with the Hisense U65QF: it says the Hisense is brighter, while the TCL is more accurate and better-rounded, with better black levels, 1080p at 288Hz, and lower input lag. This is worth considering if image accuracy, black levels, or fast 1080p gaming matter more to you than maximum brightness. Confirm the refresh-rate behavior and gaming features on the specific model you can buy.
TCL QM7L: mid-range choice with 144Hz support
TechRadar describes the QM7L as a mid-range value option and says it comes close to the QM8L while offering fewer dimming zones and lower peak brightness. Its review reports a 144Hz refresh rate, Google TV, HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Atmos, and DTS:X. It lists four HDMI ports: one eARC, two HDMI 2.1 ports at 144Hz, and two HDMI 2.0 ports at 60Hz. Confirm that port allocation against your exact size and regional model. TechRadar’s QM7L review.

Check these details before purchase
- Model suffix and region: Product families can vary by country and size; do not assume the feature list for one SKU applies to all.
- Gaming: Check refresh rate, VRR support, and the number and type of HDMI ports on the exact television. A headline refresh figure does not tell you how every resolution or input behaves.
- HDR: Compare supported formats and tested picture performance separately. Format support does not by itself establish brightness or image accuracy.
- Current price and stock: Treat the QM7L figures above as launch prices, not live offers. Check retailers serving your region before committing.
- Room and screen size: Measure the viewing distance and available space, then weigh brightness against black-level performance and your typical lighting.
