For a current support-oriented Qiqi build, use Favonius Sword, four-piece Tenacity of the Millelith, ATK% sands, ATK% goblet and a CRIT Rate circlet. Prioritize Adeptus Art: Herald of Frost, then her Burst, and use Qiqi in a team that benefits from healing, Cryo application and the Stellar-reaction support described in contemporary team guides.
This is a conditional build rather than a permanent tier-list answer. Favonius is best when your team needs energy; Sacrificial Sword is useful when maintaining Skill uptime matters more. Your constellation level, rotation and whether another character already carries Tenacity can change the optimal setup. The recommendations below reflect guides updated in July and September 2026 and should be checked again after major game updates.
Recommended Qiqi build at a glance
Qiqi is a five-star Liyue Cryo sword character whose ascension attribute is Healing Bonus. In the current support context, she is more than an emergency healer: contemporary guides place her in Stellar-Conduct and Stellar-Swirl teams, where her Skill can provide sustained team support while she keeps the party healthy.
Recommended Free Tools
| Slot | Recommendation | Why it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Weapon | Favonius Sword | Creates team energy when Qiqi triggers its passive; build CRIT Rate so the passive activates reliably. |
| Artifact set | Four-piece Tenacity of the Millelith | Qiqi’s Skill can keep the party buff active, giving the whole team a support benefit while she heals. |
| Sands | ATK% | Raises the ATK-based portion of her healing and supports her buffing role. |
| Goblet | ATK% | Maintains a healing-focused stat profile without sacrificing the support contribution expected from this build. |
| Circlet | CRIT Rate | Improves consistency of Favonius Sword’s passive. |
| Talent priority | Skill first, Burst second, normal attacks last | Her Skill is the core of the support rotation; normal attacks are not central to this role. |
| Primary role | Healer and reaction-team support | Use her where sustain, Cryo particles and Stellar-reaction support are valuable. |
Do not treat this table as a universal ranking. If the team cannot use the energy from Favonius, if another character already provides the same artifact buff, or if Qiqi’s Skill must be refreshed more often than normal, a different weapon or set may perform better in that specific rotation.

What Qiqi contributes in the current game context
Healing with a support purpose
Qiqi’s healing remains the reason to field her, but current build discussions frame that healing as part of a larger support package. Her Elemental Skill, Adeptus Art: Herald of Frost, can maintain party support while Qiqi is off field and can keep the four-piece Tenacity effect active. That makes her a sustain character who can still contribute to the team’s offensive setup rather than occupying the slot solely for emergency recovery.
Stellar reaction support
A Mobalytics guide updated September 22, 2026, describes Qiqi as a healer and support for Stellar-Conduct and Stellar-Swirl teams. The guide says her Skill provides high-uptime teamwide Stellar damage bonus and that she can generate up to six Cryo particles per rotation. Those are guide recommendations, not an official HoYoverse ranking, and the particle count depends on the rotation being used.
Icy Veins’ July 10, 2026, guide also places Qiqi primarily in Stellar reaction teams. The practical implication is important: the best Qiqi build depends on whether your roster can actually activate and exploit those reactions. In a generic team with no use for the reaction support, she may still heal effectively, but the opportunity cost of her slot is higher.

Favonius Sword: default team-support choice
Favonius Sword is the broad recommendation because its particles can help the entire team meet energy requirements. Give Qiqi enough CRIT Rate to trigger the weapon’s passive consistently during the rotation. A CRIT Rate circlet is therefore preferred even though Qiqi is not being built as a personal damage dealer.
Favonius is strongest when at least one teammate has a demanding Burst, when Qiqi’s own particles are useful to the rotation, or when the team values smoother energy flow more than an additional Skill cast. Test the weapon in the actual rotation: a theoretical energy benefit is not useful if Qiqi cannot trigger the passive at the timing your team requires.
Sacrificial Sword: prioritize Skill availability
Sacrificial Sword is the main alternative when longer rotations make another Skill cast more valuable than Favonius particles. Resetting or extending access to Herald of Frost can help maintain the Tenacity buff and Qiqi’s healing presence. Choose it when the team already has adequate energy, when Qiqi’s Skill downtime is the problem you are trying to solve, or when Favonius’ passive is difficult to trigger consistently.

Freedom-Sworn and Key of Khaj-Nisut: reaction-dependent options
Icy Veins lists Freedom-Sworn and Key of Khaj-Nisut in reaction-support contexts. These are not automatic upgrades over Favonius. Their value depends on whether Qiqi can participate in the relevant reactions, whether the party can use the buffs they provide, and whether another teammate already covers that support function. Select one only after identifying the reaction and buff requirements of the complete team.

|---|---|---|
| Favonius Sword | The team needs particles and Qiqi can trigger the passive reliably. | Requires CRIT Rate investment and a useful trigger during the rotation. |
| Sacrificial Sword | More Herald of Frost casts or higher Skill uptime solve the team’s problem. | Provides less direct team energy than a successful Favonius trigger. |
| Freedom-Sworn | The reaction team can activate and exploit its support effect. | Its value falls when the required reactions or buff recipients are absent. |
| Key of Khaj-Nisut | The team specifically benefits from its reaction-oriented support contribution. | It is a specialized choice rather than a general-purpose Qiqi weapon. |
Artifacts and stat targets
Four-piece Tenacity of the Millelith
Use four pieces of Tenacity of the Millelith for the support build. Qiqi’s Skill can keep the set’s party buff active, so the set contributes even while your main damage dealer is on field. This is the reason the set is recommended over a purely personal-healing arrangement for the current support niche.
Do not force Tenacity if another character already carries it and your team cannot maintain overlapping value. In that case, compare the actual buffs and uptime in your rotation rather than assuming a second copy improves the team.
Main-stat configuration
The recommended main stats are ATK% sands, ATK% goblet and CRIT Rate circlet. Qiqi’s healing profile makes ATK useful, while the circlet’s CRIT Rate helps Favonius Sword activate. This combination is intentionally different from a damage build: the objective is reliable healing, support uptime and energy contribution.
Substats before and after C6
Before C6, the cited Mobalytics guide describes substats as flexible beyond the CRIT Rate needed for Favonius. In practice, keep enough CRIT Rate to make the passive dependable, then value the stats that help your planned rotation rather than chasing a fixed offensive ratio.

At C6, the same guide recommends enough Energy Recharge to use Qiqi’s Burst and then ATK% for the buff. C6 changes the value of Burst access, so a build that is comfortable before C6 may need more Energy Recharge after obtaining the constellation. Do not copy the C6 priorities onto a lower-constellation Qiqi if your rotation rarely uses her Burst.

Talent priority and upgrade plan
1. Adeptus Art: Herald of Frost
Level the Elemental Skill first. It is the ability that supports the recommended Tenacity setup, supplies the core healing behavior and drives the high-uptime support pattern described for Stellar teams.
2. Adeptus Art: Preserver of Fortune
Raise the Elemental Burst second. Icy Veins notes that Qiqi generally does not use her Burst every rotation before C6. If your team does not consistently generate enough energy for the Burst, do not move it ahead of the Skill solely because it is a higher-cost ability. Raise it earlier when your planned rotation uses the Burst reliably or when you are playing C6 Qiqi.
3. Normal attacks
Normal attacks are a low priority for this support role. Qiqi should normally cast her support abilities and then allow the team’s carry to perform the on-field sequence. Invest in normal attacks only if you have deliberately chosen an on-field or personal-damage playstyle, which is outside the recommended healer-support setup.

How to use Qiqi in a rotation
The exact order changes with the carry, reaction ownership and energy requirements. The following sequence shows the principle rather than a universal script.
- Apply other support effects first. Use the buffs, debuffs or setup skills that need to be active before Qiqi’s Skill.
- Cast Herald of Frost with Qiqi. This starts her healing and support effect and gives Tenacity a chance to remain active during the carry’s field time.
- Trigger the reaction setup. Use the Cryo and other elemental abilities required by your team’s Stellar-Conduct or Stellar-Swirl plan.
- Switch to the carry. Let the main damage dealer perform the planned sequence while Qiqi’s Skill continues its support role.
- Use Favonius triggers deliberately. If the team depends on the particles, make sure Qiqi gets the opportunity to trigger the passive instead of swapping away before the hit that can activate it.
- Use the Burst only when it belongs to the rotation. Before C6, avoid delaying the team for a Burst that is not charged; at C6, build enough Energy Recharge to include it as planned.
- Refresh the Skill and set buffs on the next loop. Recast according to the actual duration and cooldown in your team rather than forcing a fixed timer from another composition.
Sandrone-centered example
One cited Sandrone example has the other supports act first, Qiqi cast her Skill, and the carry then take the field for its sequence. Use this as an illustration of Skill-first support timing, not as a mandatory rotation for every Sandrone team. Yae Miko, Odette and the remaining support slots can change the order because their setup and energy needs differ.
Team archetypes that make the build worthwhile
Stellar-Conduct teams
Qiqi is most naturally placed in a Stellar-Conduct composition that wants sustained healing, Cryo participation and the team support attached to her Skill. Mobalytics lists a Sandrone, Yae Miko, Qiqi and Odette example. The exact partner list is not a requirement; the useful pattern is a carry plus the elemental enablers and supports needed to keep the reaction active.

Cyno is another character named in the cited team discussions. With Cyno, check whether the rotation can keep Qiqi’s Skill and the reaction setup aligned with Cyno’s field time. If Qiqi’s cooldowns or energy do not line up, the nominal reaction advantage may not compensate for lost carry uptime.

Stellar-Swirl teams can use Qiqi when the group needs her healing and Cryo contribution alongside an Anemo-oriented reaction plan. Yumemizuki Mizuki is among the partners named by Icy Veins, while Beidou is listed as another possible Electro partner. These names describe possible roles, not a single mandatory four-character team; choose the partners that supply the elements, buffs and field time your account can support.
When Qiqi is a poor fit
Mobalytics cautions against using Qiqi in the described Wriothesley teams because her automatic healing conflicts with those teams’ needs. The lesson is broader than one character: if the composition depends on controlled health loss, delayed healing or a different sustain mechanic, Qiqi can interfere with the intended play pattern. Evaluate the team’s health mechanics before adding her simply because she is a strong healer.
| Team question | If the answer is yes | If the answer is no |
|---|---|---|
| Can the team use Stellar-Conduct or Stellar-Swirl support? | Qiqi’s Skill and Cryo contribution have a clear purpose. | Her slot is mainly a healing choice, so compare other sustain options. |
| Does the carry need continuous healing? | Qiqi’s off-field sustain can protect long field-time sequences. | Her automatic healing may be unnecessary or disruptive. |
| Does the team need energy? | Favonius Sword becomes more attractive. | Sacrificial Sword may be better if Skill uptime is the limiting factor. |
| Is another unit already carrying Tenacity? | Check whether Qiqi’s four-piece set still adds unique value. | Tenacity is a straightforward support choice. |
Constellation-based adjustments
Before C6
Use the general Favonius, Tenacity and Skill-first setup. Keep CRIT Rate high enough for reliable Favonius triggers, but do not overinvest in Energy Recharge for a Burst that your rotation does not use. Flexible substats are acceptable once the weapon can perform consistently.
At C6
The cited Mobalytics recommendation changes at C6: obtain enough Energy Recharge to use Qiqi’s Burst, then favor ATK% for the buff. C6 therefore makes Burst planning and ATK investment more valuable. Confirm that the team actually includes the Burst in its loop; a constellation does not require you to press an ability at a point where it damages the rotation.
Step-by-step build checklist
- Define the job. Decide whether Qiqi is healing a long on-field carry, enabling a Stellar reaction, supplying energy, or doing several of these at once.
- Select the weapon from that job. Start with Favonius Sword for team energy; move to Sacrificial Sword when Skill uptime is the bottleneck; consider Freedom-Sworn or Key of Khaj-Nisut only when the reaction team can use their support effects.
- Equip four Tenacity pieces. Keep the set if Qiqi can maintain its party buff. If another character already provides the effect, compare the real rotation before spending resources on a duplicate.
- Set the main stats. Use ATK% sands, ATK% goblet and CRIT Rate circlet for the general support build.
- Check CRIT Rate in combat. A paper build is incomplete if Favonius rarely triggers during the actual rotation. Adjust the circlet or substats until the passive is dependable.
- Adjust Energy Recharge for constellation and rotation. Before C6, prioritize Skill uptime and team needs; at C6, meet the Burst requirement first and then add ATK% as recommended by the cited guide.
- Level talents in order. Upgrade Herald of Frost, then Preserver of Fortune, leaving normal attacks for last unless you have chosen an on-field variant.
- Test the complete loop. Verify that Qiqi’s Skill, Tenacity uptime, Favonius trigger and carry field time all line up. Change one variable at a time so you know which adjustment fixed the problem.
Common mistakes and fixes
Building only for raw healing
Stacking healing while ignoring CRIT Rate can make Favonius unreliable, and ignoring Skill uptime can reduce Tenacity coverage. Keep the support objective visible: Qiqi should heal while also enabling the team’s energy and reaction plan.

Using Favonius without a trigger plan
Favonius is not automatically best because it is the recommended default. If Qiqi cannot trigger its passive at a useful point, Sacrificial Sword may provide more practical value. Add CRIT Rate and schedule the trigger, or change weapons.
Forcing a Burst every rotation
Before C6, the cited guide says Qiqi generally does not Burst every rotation. Chasing an unrealistic Energy Recharge target can weaken the rest of the build. Use the Burst when it is charged and part of the team’s actual sequence; only make it a fixed loop requirement when your constellation and energy income support that plan.
Ignoring duplicate support sets
Two characters carrying the same Tenacity effect do not automatically double the team’s benefit. Check who can maintain the buff most reliably and use Qiqi’s artifact slot to fill a real gap when the first carrier already covers it.
Copying a named team without checking mechanics
Sandrone, Yae Miko, Odette, Cyno, Yumemizuki Mizuki and Beidou appear in cited examples, but each team still has different cooldowns, reaction ownership and field-time demands. Treat those examples as archetypes and rebuild the rotation around the characters on your account.
How to decide between the two core builds
| Priority | Favonius Sword build | Sacrificial Sword build |
|---|---|---|
| Main objective | Feed energy to Qiqi and her teammates. | Keep Herald of Frost available more often. |
| Best supporting stat | CRIT Rate for dependable passive activation. | Stats that let the Skill-centered rotation run smoothly. |
| Typical team need | A carry or support with demanding energy requirements. | A long rotation where Skill downtime breaks healing or Tenacity uptime. |
| Primary risk | The passive fails to trigger when needed. | The team remains energy-starved despite good Skill uptime. |
Choose the column that solves your team’s observed problem, not the one that appears higher on a generic ranking. Both weapons can be correct on the same Qiqi account when used in different teams.
How current are these recommendations?
HoYoWiki supports Qiqi’s identity as a five-star Liyue Cryo sword character with Healing Bonus as her ascension attribute. The support and team synthesis here comes from a Mobalytics guide updated September 22, 2026, and Icy Veins guides last updated July 10, 2026. Those are third-party recommendations rather than an official HoYoverse build ranking.
Genshin Impact mechanics, rosters and reaction priorities can change. Recheck Skill behavior, available Stellar teams and weapon value after a relevant patch, especially if a new character changes energy requirements or provides a stronger version of Qiqi’s support function.
