No racing wheel is officially confirmed for Forza Horizon 6 on PS5 yet. The Logitech G923 PlayStation version is the clearest PS5-compatible candidate: Logitech specifies a 2.3 Nm TRUEFORCE system, and PlayStation Direct lists the wheel and pedals for PS5. However, Logitech’s published compatibility material names Forza Horizon 5, not Forza Horizon 6, and the official Forza announcement and PlayStation Store listing do not publish a PS5 wheel-support list.
That makes the G923 a reasonable candidate to consider—not a confirmed FH6 recommendation. If you buy before the game’s PS5 launch, treat game compatibility as unresolved and use a retailer with a clear return policy.
What is confirmed about Forza Horizon 6 on PS5
Playground Games has announced the PS5 release of Forza Horizon 6 for January 26, 2027. The Premium Edition receives early access on January 21, 2027. Those dates establish when PS5 players can test wheel support in the shipping game; they do not establish that any particular wheel will work.
The PS5 version is being developed by Panic Button in close collaboration with Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios. Playground Games says PS5 players will have cross-platform play and cross-save with the Xbox and Steam versions. Those platform features are separate from peripheral support.
#1 Best Overall
- Immersive Gaming Experience: Perfect for PlayStation 5, PS4 and PC gaming titles, the Driving Force simulates the feeling of driving a real car with precision steering and pressure-sensitive pedals
- Premium Control: The Driving Force feedback racing wheel provides a detailed simulation of driving a real car, with helical gearing delivering smooth, quiet steering and a hand-stitched leather cover
- Customizable Pedals: These pressure-sensitive nonlinear brake pedals provide a responsive, accurate braking feel on a sturdy base - with adjustable pedal faces for finer control
- 900-Degree Rotation: Lock-to-lock rotation of the Driving Force means you can turn the wheel around two and a half times, hand over hand on wide turns - just like a real F1 race car
- Up Your Game: Take your racing simulation to the next level with Driving Force accessories like the Driving Force Shifter or desk and rig mounts
The PlayStation Store describes more than 550 real-world cars and steering animations with up to 540 degrees of wheel rotation. These are in-game specifications. They describe the driving experience and animation range, not compatibility with a specific USB wheel or force-feedback system.
The current compatibility picture
| Question | What the official material establishes | What remains unknown |
|---|---|---|
| Will Forza Horizon 6 release on PS5? | Yes. Standard and Deluxe Editions are scheduled for January 26, 2027; Premium Edition early access begins January 21. | Launch-day changes or later support additions cannot be determined before release. |
| Is the Logitech G923 available for PS5? | Logitech lists a PlayStation version, and PlayStation Direct lists the wheel-and-pedals set for PS5. | Availability, price and stock can change by region and date. |
| Does the G923 definitely work with FH6 on PS5? | No official confirmation was found. | Whether FH6 recognizes its inputs, force feedback and advanced features on PS5. |
| Does Logitech list Forza support? | Logitech’s compatibility material includes Forza Horizon 5. | Forza Horizon 6 is not listed in the material reviewed. |
| Are other PS5 wheels confirmed for FH6? | No confirmed set of models was published in the official material reviewed. | Model-by-model support, force-feedback behavior and supported game modes. |
The distinction matters: console compatibility means the PS5 can recognize a product. Game compatibility means the game has implemented support for that product’s inputs and, where applicable, force-feedback protocol. A wheel can satisfy the first condition without satisfying the second.
The Logitech G923 PlayStation version: the leading candidate
The Logitech G923 is the only specific PS5 wheel identified as a defensible candidate in the official material reviewed. Logitech describes the PlayStation version as a 2.3 Nm TRUEFORCE racing system with a leather wheel, aluminum paddle shifters and a pressure-sensitive brake. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements or a hands-on test of FH6.
PlayStation Direct lists the wheel and pedals for PS5. Its product description also says that TRUEFORCE and other advanced features require game integration, and that the system requires games supporting Logitech force-feedback racing wheels. That wording is an explicit limitation: the console listing is not a promise that every racing game will expose every feature.

What the G923 specification tells you
- 2.3 Nm TRUEFORCE: Logitech’s stated force-feedback-system specification. It does not predict how strong or detailed FH6 feedback will feel until the game supports the system.
- Pressure-sensitive brake: A hardware feature that can provide progressive braking when a game reads the pedal axis correctly.
- Aluminum paddle shifters: The product’s stated manual-shifting controls.
- Leather wheel: Logitech’s listed wheel-cover material.
- PlayStation variant: Select the PlayStation version, not a differently labeled platform variant, when shopping for a PS5 setup.
What it does not prove
- It does not prove that FH6 will detect the wheel on PS5.
- It does not prove that FH6 will provide force feedback through TRUEFORCE.
- It does not prove that the brake, paddles or steering range will be fully configurable.
- It does not establish better performance or value than another wheel.
- It does not turn Forza Horizon 5 support on Logitech’s list into Forza Horizon 6 support.
Why Forza Horizon 5 support is not enough
Logitech’s compatibility list recognizes Forza Horizon 5, but the reviewed material does not list Forza Horizon 6. A sequel can use different input mappings, force-feedback APIs, platform integrations or certification requirements, especially when a new console version is involved.
Therefore, the accurate conclusion is limited: Logitech has documented support for the earlier game, while FH6 PS5 support remains unconfirmed. Do not treat a retailer title, a generic “PS5 compatible” label or a video showing the wheel working on another platform as proof of FH6 support.

- Check the official Forza Horizon 6 PS5 announcement. Look for a named wheel list, force-feedback notes or a link to a supported-peripherals page. The announcement currently establishes the release schedule and platform features, not wheel compatibility.
- Check the PlayStation Store listing and the game’s support documentation. Look for explicit references to racing wheels, supported manufacturers, steering calibration and force feedback. The current listing’s car count and steering-animation details are not a peripheral list.
- Check Logitech’s G923 compatibility page. Confirm whether Forza Horizon 6 is added separately from Forza Horizon 5 and whether the entry applies to PS5 rather than only PC or another console.
- Read the game’s PS5 input settings after installation. A supported wheel should normally appear as a selectable input device with steering, throttle, brake and button assignments. A generic controller profile or missing wheel options is a warning that support may be absent or incomplete.
- Test force feedback in a safe, controlled session. If the wheel is detected, verify that the game exposes force-feedback settings and that effects respond consistently. Detection alone does not confirm advanced-feature support.
- Keep the receipt and packaging until testing is complete. Pre-release compatibility is unresolved, so a return window is practical protection against a wheel that works on PS5 generally but not in FH6.
What to look for when comparing a PS5 wheel
Until Playground Games or the game’s support documentation publishes a model list, compare products against evidence rather than marketing labels.

| Comparison axis | Why it matters for FH6 | Evidence standard |
|---|---|---|
| PS5 console compatibility | Determines whether the console can recognize the hardware. | Manufacturer and PlayStation documentation should name PS5 and the correct platform variant. |
| Explicit FH6 PS5 support | Determines whether the game is expected to accept the wheel. | Look for a named FH6 entry from the game publisher or wheel manufacturer; generic PS5 support is insufficient. |
| Force-feedback support | Determines whether steering resistance and road effects can be produced. | Require both wheel-system support and game integration. A console product page alone is not enough. |
| Pedal and button recognition | Determines whether braking, throttle, clutch and controls can be mapped correctly. | Look for game-specific mapping information or confirmation from the game’s support documentation. |
| Published hardware specifications | Helps compare construction and controls without inventing performance claims. | Use stated specifications such as wheel material, pedal type and manufacturer-rated force-feedback figures. |
| Return and warranty terms | Protects you if FH6 support is absent or incomplete at launch. | Verify the seller’s current regional policy before purchase. |
On the evidence currently available, only the G923 has a documented combination of a PS5 version, published hardware specifications and a PlayStation Direct listing. That makes it the leading candidate for investigation, not a tested ranking against multiple confirmed alternatives.
Buying before or after the PS5 launch
Buying before launch
The advantage is having the hardware ready for Premium Edition early access on January 21, 2027. The risk is paying for a wheel whose FH6 support has not been announced. If you buy early, choose the PlayStation version, retain all packaging, and confirm the seller’s return period covers the launch date and your testing time.
Waiting for launch documentation
Waiting reduces uncertainty. The most useful confirmation would be an official FH6 PS5 supported-wheel list that names the G923 or specifies a supported Logitech force-feedback interface. A settings menu showing wheel calibration and force-feedback controls is stronger practical evidence than a generic product description.

Setting up a confirmed wheel on PS5
Once FH6 officially supports your model, use a basic setup sequence:
- Update the wheel’s firmware using the manufacturer’s supported process, if one is provided for the PlayStation model.
- Connect the wheel and pedals directly to the PS5, following the manufacturer’s connection order.
- Start FH6 and open its controller or input settings.
- Select the wheel profile if the game offers one, then assign steering, throttle, brake, paddles and essential buttons.
- Calibrate the steering center and pedal ranges with the wheel mounted securely.
- Set force-feedback strength conservatively for the first session, then adjust only after confirming that effects are stable and comfortable.
- Test a low-risk event before entering a long race, checking steering centering, braking response and button assignments.
The exact menu labels may differ in the final PS5 release. Do not assume that PC instructions, Xbox instructions or Forza Horizon 5 settings use the same paths.

The PlayStation Store’s “up to 540 degrees” steering-animation figure describes how steering can be represented in the game. It is not a statement that every wheel will rotate through exactly 540 degrees, nor does it guarantee that the game will synchronize a particular wheel’s physical rotation with the on-screen wheel.

Similarly, the presence of more than 550 real-world cars does not imply that every car has identical steering behavior, force-feedback effects or control requirements. Those details depend on the game’s implementation and the selected vehicle.

Common mistakes and fixes
“It says PS5 on the box, so FH6 must work.”
Why it fails: Console recognition and game integration are different requirements. Fix: Look for an explicit FH6 PS5 support statement and test the in-game wheel profile.
“Forza Horizon 5 is listed, so FH6 is guaranteed.”
Why it fails: The compatibility list reviewed names FH5, not FH6. Fix: Wait for a separate FH6 entry or official confirmation.
“The game says 540 degrees, so any wheel will match it.”
Why it fails: The figure concerns in-game steering animations, not a universal hardware specification. Fix: Calibrate the wheel in the game and verify the physical-to-screen steering relationship.

Verdict
There is no officially confirmed “best” PS5 racing wheel for Forza Horizon 6 yet. The Logitech G923 PlayStation version is the most defensible candidate because it is listed for PS5 and has clearly published specifications, including a 2.3 Nm TRUEFORCE system. Its FH6 compatibility—and especially its force-feedback support on the PS5 release—remains unconfirmed. Recheck official game and Logitech support information near the January 2027 launch before treating it as a purchase recommendation.
