Shredders is the closest PC substitute for HYPERyuki: Snowboard Syndicate because snowboarding is its entire focus, with an explorable mountain, parks, rails, kickers, buttering, story missions and online co-op. Choose Riders Republic if multiplayer variety matters more, Steep if you want a huge mountain to explore, or OlliOlli World if expressive trick chains and colorful style matter more than snowboarding itself.
HYPERyuki is still listed as “Coming soon” on Steam with no release date, so these are practical games to play now rather than direct reviews of an unreleased product.

HYPERyuki: Snowboard Syndicate is an upcoming stylized freestyle snowboarding game from Wabisabi Games and Acclaim. The four alternatives below cover the same broad reasons people are interested in HYPERyuki: chaining tricks, finding lines through a mountain, playing with friends and enjoying a stylized winter-sports playground. None reproduces every announced feature. In particular, HYPERyuki is the only game here advertised with four-player split-screen, while the available alternatives emphasize online or solo/social play.
Shredders: the closest snowboarding-first replacement
Why it matches HYPERyuki
Shredders keeps the board at the center of the experience. FoamPunch released it on Steam on March 16, 2022, and its official description presents an open world filled with park riding, buttering, rails and large kickers. A story mode introduces professional riders, while online co-op lets you ride with other people.
That combination makes Shredders the strongest choice when your priority is “a snowboarding game,” not simply a game that happens to include snow. You can roam between features, work on a line, and then switch to a mission or a co-op session without leaving the same mountain-focused framework.

How its handling differs from the announced HYPERyuki direction

Expect to spend more time controlling approach, balance and landing quality, and less time treating every slope as an excuse for an exaggerated spectacle.
It is therefore a good substitute for the activities HYPERyuki promises, but not necessarily for its tone. If your ideal game is an immediate, forgiving trick sandbox in the spirit of classic arcade snowboarding, Shredders may feel deliberate. If you want the board itself to be the main system to learn, its realism-leaning design is an advantage.

PC requirements and controls
The Steam listing gives Windows 10, 8 GB of RAM and a GTX 1060/RX 560-class minimum GPU as its baseline requirements. The game also carries a Controller tag, so a gamepad is a sensible way to play even though the exact feel will depend on your preferred input setup.

Riders Republic: the best multiplayer playground
Why it matches the social side of HYPERyuki
Ubisoft’s Steam listing dates the PC release to June 8, 2023. Riders Republic turns snowboarding into one activity inside a much larger shared world that also includes skiing, bikes and wingsuits. Its appeal is scale: you can join crew rides, enter trick competitions and encounter events designed for more than 50 players.

Choose it when “play with a lot of people” matters more than having a snowboarding-only game. The world gives you constant reasons to switch disciplines, and the event structure is built for spectacle and social participation. That breadth is also the main compromise: snowboarding does not receive the same exclusive attention it does in Shredders.
What the snowboarding provides
Riders Republic includes snowboarding trick competitions and free movement through a large multiplayer environment. It is a strong fit for players who want to meet friends in a shared space, jump into an event and then continue exploring. It is less suitable if you want every system, mission and unlock to reinforce board technique alone.
Online and hardware requirements
The PC version requires a Ubisoft account and an online connection. Ubisoft explicitly says a controller is highly recommended. Plan around that requirement before buying: this is not the choice for an offline-only setup or for someone who wants to avoid account linking.

- Groups that want large events and crew activities.

Steep released on Steam on December 2, 2016. Ubisoft describes a massive Alps open world, an Alaska update, custom lines and solo or social riding. Alongside snowboarding, you can ski, use a wingsuit or paraglide, making the mountain itself the main attraction.

Steep is the right answer when your favorite part of HYPERyuki is the promise of free-roam exploration. Rather than treating the mountain as a backdrop between discrete levels, it encourages route-finding: drop into a face, look for a new approach and build a personal line through the terrain.
How Steep differs in tone and structure
Its handling and presentation are more simulation-leaning than HYPERyuki’s announced stylized arcade direction. The game also spreads attention across several mountain sports. That makes it calmer and more exploratory than a pure trick-combo game, but it gives you more ways to experience the same landscape.
Choose Steep for scenic cruising, discovery and a relaxed mountain sandbox. Choose Shredders instead if you want parks, rails and snowboard-specific progression to dominate your playtime.

The Steam page requires a permanent internet connection and lists compatibility with Windows 10 and Windows 11. That always-online requirement is important for players planning to travel, play from a restricted network or avoid persistent connectivity.

Private Division and Roll7 describe it as a skateboarding action-platformer for PC via Steam, with a deep combo system, a broad move set and a sandbox containing millions of unique levels. The side-on format changes the experience completely, but its focus on timing, flow and expressive trick chains overlaps with the part of HYPERyuki that attracts many players.

Riders Republic and Steep deliberately broaden the formula. Their additional sports are useful when you want variety or when your group does not share the same favorite discipline. They are less efficient purchases for someone who will ignore everything except snowboarding.

OlliOlli World sits outside that comparison: it replaces the mountain and board with a skateboarding level structure, but it may satisfy the same desire to practice and perfect a trick sequence.

For a continuous mountain
Shredders, Riders Republic and Steep all let you move through large environments rather than selecting only isolated trick stages. Steep is the most exploration-led, with custom lines and a mountain designed for repeated route discovery. Shredders balances free riding with story missions and park features. Riders Republic layers events and competitions over a broad multiplayer playground.
For focused repetition
OlliOlli World is the outlier. Its side-on structure makes it easier to restart a section, test a different move and chase a cleaner combo without traveling across a 3D landscape. Pick it when iteration speed matters more than immersion.
