The right NFT marketplace depends on what you are doing. A collector looking for NBA highlights needs a different platform from an Ethereum trader sweeping listings or an artist selling a one-of-one work.
This guide compares the strongest currently documented options as of August 7, 2026. It does not force the market into an arbitrary “12 best” ranking: the current evidence supports nine major platforms, plus Magic Eden and Zora, which require some qualification because their roles and product models have changed.

Fees change frequently. Treat the figures above as reported comparisons, not a substitute for checking the marketplace’s live fee screen before approving a transaction.
1. OpenSea: best overall NFT marketplace
OpenSea remains the most flexible choice for users who want one place to browse, buy and sell NFTs across many networks. Its supported ecosystem includes Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, Base, Solana, Flow and Ronin, among others.
#1 Best Overall
- All your digital assets in one place. You can manage thousands of crypto including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Tether and more.
- Defend your identity against hackers: secure your online accounts with passwordless, hardware backed, 2FA logins for all your favorite apps and websites.
- Connectivity: USB-C cable connection only. No Bluetooth.Compatible with the Ledger Wallet crypto app, both desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux) and mobile (Android only). Not compatible with iOS.
- Protect your digital assets with the industry's best security: keep your private keys offline in your private signer, battle-tested by the Donjon's white hat hackers, CC EAL 6+ certified Secure Element, constantly updated Ledger OS.
- Effortlessly build your crypto portfolio via the all in one Ledger Wallet app: buy, sell, send, receive, swap, stake and more across popular blockchains. 15,000+ coins & tokens in a single dashboard. Keep a close eye on the market. Compare service providers. Track performance. Get timely alerts. Build your portfolio with confidence.
The current roundup reports a 1% NFT selling fee. It also reports a separate 10% fee for minting in a primary Drop and a 0.85% swap fee. Confirm those numbers on OpenSea’s live fee information before publishing a listing or minting.
How to list an NFT on OpenSea
- Open your profile, the NFT’s item page or its collection page.
- From the item page, switch to Sell.
- Choose List for sale for a fixed-price listing or Accept offer to take an existing bid.
- Set the price, creator-earnings treatment and listing duration.
- Review the transaction and approve it in your wallet.
From a profile, use List item, select the NFT, then choose List item(s) or List items in the bottom bar. Bulk listings must be for items on the same chain. Collection-page selling uses the bottom-bar Sell mode.
OpenSea’s listing controls include Reserve, Adjust for fees, Set price to floor, Listed as, Creator earnings and Listing duration. The documented duration range is currently 15 minutes minimum to six months maximum.

A Drop can sell out while your mint transaction is pending. The transaction may fail, but you can still lose the blockchain gas fee. Delayed-reveal collections may also show placeholder metadata. To request an update, open the item page and select Refresh metadata in the upper-right corner. OpenSea confirms the request with “We’ve queued this item for an update!”
Never send money to someone claiming to be an OpenSea buyer or support agent who says a sale failed. OpenSea says it will not ask you to send funds to resolve a failed sale. Screenshots of alleged purchase errors are a common phishing tactic.
2. Blur: best for active Ethereum traders
Blur is built for speed rather than casual browsing. Its focus is Ethereum NFT trading, with tools for bids, collection sweeps, liquidity and market analysis. It is a better fit for someone monitoring prices and executing several trades than for a first-time collector who wants a simple guided purchase.
The current comparison reports a 0% marketplace fee. That does not mean every transaction is free: Ethereum gas, creator royalties, wallet costs and other transaction-specific charges can still apply.
Blur is best considered a trading interface. Verify the collection contract, the chain and the total wallet approval before signing. The available evidence does not verify current Blur minting steps or exact button labels, so do not assume it provides the same creator workflow as OpenSea or Rarible.

- Choose the colors that match your style: express your personality and your crypto management mood, color code your signers, one for each use (trading, staking, HOLDing...).
3. Tensor: best for Solana NFT trading
Tensor is a Solana-native marketplace for users who value speed, liquidity and trading tools. It is aimed at collectors and traders who want more advanced features, including market-making and AMM-style functionality.
The reported fee model is 0% for makers and 2% for takers, with royalties depending on a collection’s settings. Since Solana transactions use a different wallet and network from Ethereum, make sure your wallet is connected to Solana and that you hold the correct token for transaction costs.
Tensor is a strong choice for Solana collections, but the retrieved documentation does not verify a current minting flow or exact interface labels. Use its live help and transaction screen rather than following an old tutorial.

SuperRare is closer to a curated online gallery than a general NFT bazaar. It concentrates on digital art, particularly generally single-edition works, and is designed for artists and collectors who value curation over the largest possible range of collections.
Ethereum is supported. Base has been announced for parts of the wider ecosystem, but the current comparison says NFT minting on Base is not yet live.
Reported economics are unusual compared with a simple seller-fee model:
- The buyer pays a 3% marketplace fee.
- On primary sales, the artist receives 85%.
- On secondary sales, the seller receives 90% and the original artist receives a 10% royalty.
Because applications and exact listing labels were not verified in the available material, check SuperRare’s current creator requirements before preparing a collection.

5. Foundation: best for creator-led art
Foundation supports Ethereum and Base and focuses on creator-led digital art. It suits artists who want a presentation-oriented marketplace rather than a platform dominated by high-volume collectible trading.

- Choose the colors that match your style: express your personality and your crypto management mood, color code your signers, one for each use (trading, staking, HOLDing...).
The reported fee structure is 15% on primary sales, leaving 85% for the creator. Secondary sales carry a reported 5% fee, split as 2.5% for the buyer and 2.5% for the seller.
Check which chain an artwork uses before buying. A wallet funded on Ethereum cannot automatically pay for a Base transaction, and bridging assets introduces additional cost and risk.
6. Rarible: best for multichain NFT creation
Rarible is one of the broadest options for creators who do not want to limit a collection to one network. Its listed network support includes Ethereum, Polygon, Base, Arbitrum, Immutable X, zkSync Era, RARI Chain, Celo, Aptos, Hedera EVM and several others.
Rarible does not charge a platform fee to create an NFT according to the current comparison, although blockchain gas can still apply. Its reported service-fee schedule is tiered:
| Sale value | Reported service fee per side |
|---|---|
| $0–$100 | 7.5% |
| $100–$400 | 5% |
| $400–$2,000 | 2.5% |
| $2,000–$4,000 | 1% |
| Above $4,000 | 0.5% |
The same comparison also reports a possible 1.5% seller charge when an NFT sells. Because Rarible’s purchase-help page was not available for verification, confirm the final checkout breakdown and current labels in the interface before signing.
7. Binance NFT: best for Binance users and low listing costs
Binance NFT supports BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum and Polygon. It is a practical option for users already managing funds through Binance and looking for a marketplace with no reported listing fee.
The reported seller platform fee is 1%. Review withdrawal, network and conversion costs separately: a low marketplace fee does not guarantee a low total cost if you need to move funds between chains or services.

8. NBA Top Shot: best for official NBA Moments
NBA Top Shot is not a general NFT marketplace. It is a closed sports-collectibles platform centered on officially licensed NBA Moments, such as video highlights, and runs on the Flow blockchain.
The reported marketplace fee is 5% per sale. There is no fee to list or delist a Moment. Choose NBA Top Shot when the collectible itself is the priority—not when you need to mint arbitrary artwork, trade across chains or list an unrelated NFT collection.
9. Mintable: best for a gasless Ethereum minting option
Mintable supports Ethereum and offers a Gasless Store model. That model creates ERC-721 NFTs directly on Ethereum mainnet without charging the creator a minting fee. Mintable’s reported fee for the Gasless Store is 2.5%; Mintology is also reported at 2.5%.
“Gasless” should not be read as “no possible cost.” Traditional minting setups can involve network gas and configuration costs, and selling still has marketplace fees. Confirm which minting method you are using before approving a transaction.
The available evidence does not verify Mintable’s current navigation path or button labels, so use its current interface rather than relying on an old step-by-step video.
10. Magic Eden: useful multichain option, especially for trading tools
Magic Eden describes its marketplace as supporting buying, selling and discovery across multiple blockchains. Its current help center covers an NFT aggregator, Solana NFT selling, item-level and collection offers, trait-based offers, listing changes, floor-price warnings, optional royalties and AMM pools.
The help center also identifies a Sidebar, wallet management, a Collection Page and a Watchlist as current navigation concepts. However, the retrieved index does not expose enough detail to safely give a precise click-by-click listing path or a single universal fee figure. Fees and available actions can differ by chain and transaction type, so check the individual help article and the transaction preview.

Zora should not be described simply as an NFT minting marketplace anymore. Zora describes these assets as ERC-20 representations of user-created posts.

To trade one, open the coin and select Buy or Sell. Choose a currency, enter a custom amount or select a preset, review the displayed blockchain fee and estimated amount—or minimum received when selling—and confirm the transaction.
For faster purchases, use Profile → Settings → Quick Buy. Select ETH on Base, USDC on Base or $ZORA, enter an amount and choose Save. The documented minimum Quick Buy amount is $0.20 USD.
Zora now also documents gas payment with USDC and ZORA, USD gas displays with color-coded warnings, Coinbase web on-ramp support and an Activity tab replacing the Rewards tab. If you specifically need ordinary ERC-721 or ERC-1155 NFT minting, choose a platform whose current documentation explicitly supports that workflow.

How to choose an NFT marketplace
- Identify the asset type. Choose NBA Top Shot for licensed NBA Moments, SuperRare or Foundation for curated art, and a general marketplace for collectibles or independent NFTs.
- Match the blockchain. The NFT’s chain determines which wallet, currency and gas token you need. Ethereum, Solana, Flow, Base and Polygon are not interchangeable transaction environments.
- Calculate the total cost. Include marketplace fees, creator royalties, gas, currency conversion, bridge fees and withdrawal charges—not just the advertised seller percentage.
- Check the contract. Compare the collection’s verified address with the project’s official website or social account. A copied name and image do not prove authenticity.
- Read the final transaction preview. Confirm the recipient, amount, network, approval scope and minimum received before signing.
- Use a separate wallet for experiments. Keep valuable assets in a hardware or otherwise protected wallet, and use a limited-funds wallet for unfamiliar mints.
Common NFT marketplace mistakes
- Assuming free mint means free transaction: gas may still apply, and a failed mint can still consume gas.
- Paying a fake support agent: legitimate platforms do not require you to send funds to unlock a sale or repair a purchase.
- Expecting an immediate reveal: delayed metadata is common; use the collection’s documented refresh function when available.
- Ignoring royalties and fee splits: SuperRare, Foundation, Rarible and OpenSea use materially different models.
- Buying on the wrong chain: a wallet can hold funds while still being connected to the wrong network for the transaction.
- Trusting old tutorials: marketplace interfaces, fees and even business models change. Zora’s move toward creator coins is a clear example.
What about LooksRare?
LooksRare appears in older marketplace research, but the available current evidence does not verify its operating status, fees, minting capability, supported networks or present interface as of August 2026. It is therefore not included as a confidently recommended current marketplace here.
FAQ
What is the best NFT marketplace for beginners?
OpenSea is the most broadly useful starting point because it supports many networks and provides several routes for selling. Beginners should still verify the chain, total fees and collection contract before signing a transaction.
Which NFT marketplace has the lowest fees?
Blur is reported at 0% marketplace fees, while Binance NFT is reported at 1% for sellers and Mintable’s Gasless Store at 2.5%. These figures do not include every possible gas, royalty, withdrawal or conversion cost.
Where should artists sell one-of-one NFT art?
SuperRare and Foundation are the strongest fits among the compared platforms because they focus on curated or creator-led digital art. Their fee and acceptance models differ, so review current creator requirements before applying.
Can I mint an NFT for free?
Some platforms offer gasless or no-platform-fee creation, but free minting does not always mean zero cost. Blockchain gas, setup costs, marketplace fees and failed transactions can still cost money.
Is Zora still an NFT marketplace?
Zora’s current documentation describes its new posts as tradeable ERC-20 creator coins rather than ordinary NFTs. Use Zora for its current coin model, not on the assumption that it follows a traditional NFT minting workflow.
What should I do if someone says my NFT sale failed and asks for money?
Do not send funds or share your seed phrase. Close the message, check the transaction directly in your wallet and on the relevant blockchain explorer, and contact support only through the marketplace’s official website.
The Bottom Line
OpenSea is the most practical general-purpose choice. Use Blur for high-activity Ethereum trading, Tensor for Solana, SuperRare or Foundation for curated art, NBA Top Shot for official NBA collectibles, Rarible for multichain creation and Mintable when its gasless Ethereum model matches your needs. Treat Zora as a creator-coin platform under its current model, and verify live fees and interface details before every transaction.
