The best NFT marketplace depends on what you are doing. OpenSea is the broadest starting point for multichain discovery and selling. Blur is better suited to active Ethereum traders, while Tensor targets advanced Solana trading. Digital-art collectors should look at SuperRare or Foundation; sports fans have NBA Top Shot; and creators seeking easier minting may prefer Rarible or Mintable.
This guide reflects the marketplace landscape available on August 7, 2026. It does not pretend there is a definitive list of 12 “best” platforms: the strongest current roundup reviews nine, while Magic Eden and Zora require separate treatment because their current products and documentation differ significantly from a conventional NFT marketplace.
Best NFT marketplaces at a glance
| Marketplace | Best for | Networks or ecosystem | Reported fees and notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| OpenSea | Most users and multichain discovery | Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, Base, Solana, Flow, Ronin and others | 1% NFT selling fee reported; separate primary Drop and swap fees apply |
| Blur | Active Ethereum NFT traders | Primarily Ethereum | 0% marketplace fee reported; focused on bids, sweeps, liquidity and analytics |
| Tensor | Advanced Solana trading | Solana | 0% maker fee and 2% taker fee reported; royalties depend on collection settings |
| SuperRare | Curated, single-edition digital art | Ethereum | 3% buyer-paid marketplace fee reported; primary and secondary artist splits apply |
| Foundation | Creator-led digital art | Ethereum and Base | 5% secondary-sale fee reported; 15% primary-sale platform fee reported |
| Rarible | Multichain creation and selling | Many networks, including Ethereum, Polygon, Base, Arbitrum and RARI Chain | No platform creation fee reported, but gas still applies; trading fees are tiered |
| Binance NFT | Low-cost trading within Binance | BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum and Polygon | 1% seller platform fee reported; no listing fee reported |
| NBA Top Shot | Official NBA digital collectibles | Flow | 5% marketplace sale fee reported; listing and delisting are free |
| Mintable | Simpler Ethereum minting | Ethereum | Gasless Store minting is free for the creator; 2.5% Mintable fee reported |
| Magic Eden | Multichain discovery and trading tools | Multiple blockchains | Current help materials cover aggregators, offers, royalties, AMM pools and Solana selling |
| Zora | Trading creator-post coins | Base-centered Zora ecosystem, with additional deposit and payment support | Its current product is coin trading, not a conventional NFT marketplace |
Fees change frequently. Treat the figures above as reported current figures, not a substitute for checking the marketplace’s fee screen before confirming a transaction. You also need to budget for blockchain gas, wallet approvals and, in some cases, creator royalties.
1. OpenSea: best overall for most users
OpenSea remains the most practical first stop when you need to search across collections or sell an NFT on more than one chain. Its network coverage includes Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, Base, Solana, Flow and Ronin, among others.
#1 Best Overall
- All your digital assets in one place. You can manage thousands of crypto including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Tether and more.
- Defend your identity against hackers: secure your online accounts with passwordless, hardware backed, 2FA logins for all your favorite apps and websites.
- Connectivity: USB-C cable connection only. No Bluetooth.Compatible with the Ledger Wallet crypto app, both desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux) and mobile (Android only). Not compatible with iOS.
- Protect your digital assets with the industry's best security: keep your private keys offline in your private signer, battle-tested by the Donjon's white hat hackers, CC EAL 6+ certified Secure Element, constantly updated Ledger OS.
- Effortlessly build your crypto portfolio via the all in one Ledger Wallet app: buy, sell, send, receive, swap, stake and more across popular blockchains. 15,000+ coins & tokens in a single dashboard. Keep a close eye on the market. Compare service providers. Track performance. Get timely alerts. Build your portfolio with confidence.
The current roundup reports a 1% NFT selling fee, a 10% fee for minting in a primary Drop, and a 0.85% swap fee. Check OpenSea’s live fee information before publishing a listing because different actions use different fee models.
How to sell an NFT on OpenSea
- Open the NFT’s item page, your profile, or the collection page.
- From the item page, switch to Sell.
- Choose List for sale for a fixed-price listing or Accept offer to sell to an existing bidder.
- Set the price and review options such as Reserve, Adjust for fees, Set price to floor, Creator earnings and Listing duration.
- Confirm the wallet transaction.
OpenSea documents a listing duration of at least 15 minutes and at most six months. Bulk listings are restricted to NFTs on the same chain. From a collection page, select the bottom-bar Sell mode, choose the items, then select Accept offer or List item.
For a creator Drop, the landing page can show the mint schedule, creator, social links, sample gallery and live mint activity. You can request an email reminder or add the event to a calendar.

OpenSea problems to watch for
- A mint can fail because a limited supply sells out while your transaction is pending. You may still pay gas.
- Delayed reveals are normal. On the item page, select Refresh metadata; OpenSea confirms the request with “We’ve queued this item for an update!”
- OpenSea says it will never ask you to send funds to fix a failed sale. A supposed buyer who requests money or sends a screenshot of an error is likely attempting phishing.
2. Blur: best for active Ethereum NFT trading
Blur is built for traders who care about speed, bids, collection sweeps, liquidity and analytics more than a beginner-friendly storefront. It is primarily Ethereum-focused and is a better fit for someone comparing floor prices, placing collection bids or trading frequently.
The current roundup reports a 0% marketplace fee. That does not mean every transaction is free: Ethereum gas, wallet approvals, royalties and execution conditions can still affect the final cost.
Choose Blur when you already understand Ethereum wallets and want trading tools. For a first NFT purchase or a single casual listing, OpenSea is usually easier to navigate.
3. Tensor: best for advanced Solana traders
Tensor is a Solana-native marketplace aimed at high-speed trading, liquidity, market-making and AMM-style strategies. It suits collectors and traders who specifically want Solana NFTs rather than a general multichain catalog.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Reported fees are 0% for makers and 2% for takers. Royalties depend on collection settings. Before confirming a trade, check whether you are acting as a maker or taker and verify the collection address; a similar-looking Solana collection can be a counterfeit.

- Genuine Check: confirm your signer is authentic during setup with the Ledger Wallet app.
- Protect your signer: keep it in mint condition at all times with a bespoke Pod or Case to avoid scratches and everyday wear and tear.
4. SuperRare: best for curated crypto art
SuperRare is closer to a digital-art gallery than a broad collectibles bazaar. It emphasizes curated, generally single-edition crypto art on Ethereum.
The reported model includes a 3% marketplace fee paid by the buyer. For primary sales, the artist receives a reported 85%. On secondary sales, the seller receives 90% and the original artist receives a 10% royalty. Base support has been announced for parts of the broader ecosystem, but the current roundup says NFT minting on Base is not yet live.
Use SuperRare if provenance, artist selection and gallery presentation matter more than finding the lowest-cost trading interface.
5. Foundation: best for creator-led digital art
Foundation supports Ethereum and Base and focuses on artist-led digital art. Its reported fee structure is 15% on primary sales, leaving 85% to the creator. On secondary sales, the reported 5% fee is split between buyer and seller at 2.5% each.
Foundation is a stronger choice for an artist building a presentation-focused profile than for a trader comparing hundreds of floor-priced collectibles.
6. Rarible: best for multichain NFT creation
Rarible supports a particularly broad selection of networks, including RARI Chain, Ethereum, Polygon, Immutable X, zkSync Era, Base, Celo, Arbitrum, Aptos, Hedera EVM and others.
The platform does not charge a reported creation fee, but blockchain gas can still apply. Its reported service-fee schedule is tiered:

The roundup also reports a possible 1.5% seller charge. Because Rarible’s purchase-help page was not accessible in the retrieved material, verify the current checkout labels and total charges directly in the transaction preview.

7. Binance NFT: best for Binance users and low listing costs
Binance NFT supports BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum and Polygon. The reported seller platform fee is 1%, with no listing fee reported.
It is most convenient for people who already use Binance and understand its account, custody and withdrawal processes. Check regional availability, identity-verification requirements and whether your preferred collection is supported before moving funds.
8. NBA Top Shot: best for official NBA Moments
NBA Top Shot is not a general NFT marketplace. It sells officially licensed NBA digital collectibles called Moments on the Flow blockchain.

Choose Top Shot when you want officially licensed basketball collectibles—not when you need to mint arbitrary artwork, game items or membership tokens.
9. Mintable: best for an easier gasless minting option
Mintable supports Ethereum. Its Gasless Store model creates ERC-721 NFTs on Ethereum mainnet without charging the creator a minting fee under that model; the reported Mintable fee is 2.5%. Traditional minting can involve network and setup costs, and the exact result depends on the store and minting method.
“Gasless” does not mean that every action is free. Selling, transferring, wallet approvals or other blockchain activity can still create charges. Review the final transaction and marketplace fee before publishing.
10. Magic Eden: a strong multichain trading option, but verify the exact flow
Magic Eden’s current help center describes buying, selling and discovery across multiple blockchains. Its documented trading categories include an NFT Aggregator, Solana NFT selling, trait-based offers, item-level and collection offers, listing cancellation or changes, floor-price warnings, optional royalties and AMM pools.

The help center also refers to a Sidebar, wallet management, Collection Page and Watchlist. Because the retrieved documentation does not expose every current button label, do not rely on an old click-by-click tutorial. Open the relevant marketplace help article and confirm the network, royalty setting and transaction total in the live interface.

11. Zora: now primarily a creator-coin trading platform
Zora should not be described simply as an NFT minting marketplace in 2026. Its current documentation says every post becomes an instantly tradeable coin with a supply of 1 billion, and the creator receives 10 million coins at launch. Zora describes these assets as ERC-20 representations of user-created posts rather than NFTs.
To trade one, open the coin, choose Buy or Sell, select the currency, enter a custom or preset amount, review the blockchain fee and the estimated amount or minimum received, then confirm the corresponding action.
Quick Buy is located at Profile → Settings → Quick Buy. You can choose ETH on Base, USDC on Base or $ZORA, enter an amount and select Save. The documented minimum Quick Buy amount is $0.20 USD.
How to choose an NFT marketplace
- Identify the asset type. General collectibles, one-of-one art, sports Moments and creator coins belong to different ecosystems.
- Match the blockchain. A Solana NFT cannot be bought with an Ethereum-only workflow. Confirm the chain in the collection URL and wallet.
- Calculate the complete cost. Add the item price, platform fee, royalty, gas, approval transaction and any deposit or withdrawal fee.
- Check the contract or collection verification. Search by the official project link rather than trusting a similarly named collection.
- Review the transaction screen. Confirm the recipient, network, token, quantity, marketplace fee and minimum received before signing.
- Use a hardware wallet for valuable assets. Never paste a seed phrase into a website or approve an unfamiliar contract to “unlock” a sale.
Common NFT marketplace mistakes
Assuming the lowest advertised fee is the final cost
A 0% marketplace fee can still leave gas, royalties or trading costs. Conversely, a buyer-paid fee may not appear as a seller deduction. Compare the final amount received, not just the headline percentage.
Confusing a free mint with a free transaction
Mintable’s gasless model is specific to its setup. On other platforms, gas can apply even when the NFT itself has a zero price. OpenSea also documents cases where a failed, sold-out mint still consumes gas.
Signing an approval because a buyer claims the sale failed
Do not send funds or approve a random contract after receiving a direct message. Go to the marketplace yourself, inspect the item’s on-chain status and contact support through the official domain.
Expecting metadata to reveal instantly
Some collections reveal artwork later. If the project has reached its reveal date, use the marketplace’s metadata refresh control; do not repeatedly sign unrelated transactions.
Are there really 12 best NFT marketplaces?
Not on the evidence available here. The strongest current 2026 roundup reviewed nine platforms: OpenSea, Blur, Tensor, SuperRare, Foundation, Rarible, Binance NFT, NBA Top Shot and Mintable. Magic Eden is supported by current help-center material as a multichain trading platform, and Zora has current documentation for creator-coin trading. LooksRare appeared in older or insufficiently verified research, so it should not be presented as a confirmed current recommendation without checking its live status, fees and features.

FAQ
What is the best NFT marketplace for beginners?
OpenSea is usually the most practical starting point because it supports many networks and provides profile, item-page and collection-page selling flows. Start with a low-value transaction and confirm the network before signing.
Which NFT marketplace has the lowest fees?
Blur is reported at 0% marketplace fees, while Binance NFT is reported at 1% for sellers and Mintable’s Gasless Store at 2.5%. These figures do not eliminate gas, royalties, wallet approvals or other costs, and marketplace fee schedules can change.
Where should artists mint NFTs?
Rarible and Mintable are oriented toward easier creation, while SuperRare and Foundation are more suitable for curated, presentation-focused digital art. The right choice depends on audience, chain, curation and the creator’s expected fees.
Recommended Free Tools
Is NBA Top Shot a normal NFT marketplace?
No. NBA Top Shot is a closed, sports-specific collectibles platform for officially licensed NBA Moments on Flow. It is not designed for minting arbitrary artwork or trading NFTs across multiple chains.
Is Zora still an NFT marketplace?
Zora’s current documentation describes posts as tradeable ERC-20 coins rather than conventional NFTs. Its current buy and sell flow is for those creator-post coins.
Can a failed NFT mint still cost money?
Yes. If a limited supply sells out while a transaction is pending, the transaction can fail while the blockchain still charges gas. A marketplace should never require you to send extra funds to fix the failure.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: Choose OpenSea for broad multichain access, Blur for active Ethereum trading, Tensor for Solana, SuperRare or Foundation for curated art, NBA Top Shot for NBA collectibles, Rarible or Mintable for creator-friendly minting, and Binance NFT for a Binance-centered low-cost workflow. Treat Magic Eden as a multichain trading option and Zora as a creator-coin platform rather than assuming either follows an old NFT-marketplace tutorial. Before signing anything, verify the collection, network, total fee and wallet recipient on the official site.
