Choose PICO PARK 2 if you want the closest match to PICO PARK. It keeps the series’ shared-screen action-puzzle format, supports two to eight players locally or online, and adds cross-platform online play. The right alternative depends mainly on your group size and whether you want pure puzzle solving, a themed two-player task game, frantic construction, or party-platforming.
The recommendations below separate those experiences by player count, local and online support, and how closely each game matches PICO PARK’s communication-heavy design. Confirm the edition for your platform before buying: the cited official pages do not establish identical availability or online behavior on every system.

What makes a game feel like PICO PARK?
PICO PARK is not simply a multiplayer game with puzzles. Its appeal comes from making every player’s movement part of the solution: people must communicate, synchronize actions, and recover when one mistake disrupts the group. A recommendation can resemble it in several different ways.

A free scan shows the junk files, broken settings and background clutter dragging Windows down - then fixes them in one click.Free scan · Windows 10 & 11- Shared problem solving: Progress depends on the group understanding a level or task, not on one player carrying everyone else.
- Meaningful player roles: The game should give a small group a reason to coordinate rather than merely placing several people in the same arena.
- Short, repeatable challenges: A failed attempt should lead naturally to another try and a better plan.
- Flexible group size: Two players need a different design from a party of six or eight.
- Room for conversation: The best alternatives create the same “wait, you move now” moments, even if their setting is a railway, an office, or a platforming course.
On those criteria, PICO PARK 2 is the direct substitute. The other four games are better understood as adjacent choices: they preserve the communication and cooperation but change the puzzle format, pace, or group size.

PICO PARK 2: the closest direct alternative
Nintendo describes PICO PARK 2 as a 2D action-puzzle game for two to eight players, playable locally or online. Its online mode supports cross-platform play, and Nintendo says as many as seven players can join online from a single Nintendo Switch. That combination makes it the strongest choice when the main requirement is “more PICO PARK, with a larger or more flexible online group.”
Why it matches the original format
The sequel retains the essential structure: players act together in an action-puzzle environment where timing and communication matter. It is not being recommended merely because it shares the name; the official description directly identifies the same cooperative action-puzzle identity and the same two-to-eight-player range. If your group already understands the original’s rhythm, the sequel minimizes the learning curve.
Local and online arrangements
For a single console, Nintendo’s listing allows local play and says up to seven additional online players can connect from one Switch. The listing also identifies cross-platform online play, useful when members of a regular group do not all use the same supported system. Online features on Nintendo Switch require a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership. The Steam page separately lists online co-op, local co-op, shared or split-screen co-op, and cross-platform multiplayer for its edition; do not assume that every setting or requirement is identical across platforms.
Because player counts and online rules can vary by edition, check the store page for the version your group will actually use. The official pages establish the headline modes, not a universal matrix covering every regional release.
Who should choose it
- Choose it for groups of five to eight that need a game built for a large party.
- Choose it when cross-platform online play is a deciding factor.
- Choose it when you want action-puzzle coordination rather than a change of genre.
- Choose the original instead if your group specifically wants the earlier release and its Nintendo eShop listing; Nintendo describes that game as a two-to-eight-player cooperative action-puzzle title, with online modes requiring Nintendo Switch Online.
Death Squared: concentrated puzzle solving for one, two, or four
Death Squared is the most puzzle-focused recommendation for a small group. Nintendo lists it for one, two, or four players and characterizes it as a cooperative puzzle game. That makes it a good fit when your group values reasoning and careful coordination more than a broad party-game feature set.

Why the player count matters
The supported counts are discrete: one, two, or four players. A solo player can use it as a puzzle game without needing a full party, while two players can divide observation and execution. Four players can discuss a solution together, but the design is still aimed at a compact team rather than the six-to-eight-player crowd that PICO PARK 2 supports.
What is and is not established
The cited Nintendo listing establishes the player counts, but it does not fully resolve online support by platform. Do not buy it on the assumption that an online mode works the same way as PICO PARK 2’s cross-platform service. Confirm the intended edition’s current feature list before planning a remote session.
Best use case
Pick Death Squared when the group is happy to stop, inspect the situation, and agree on a sequence before acting. It is less suitable when the priority is a large online party or a fast, physical platforming feel. Its value is the compact cooperative puzzle format and the option to play with one, two, or four people.
KeyWe: a two-player co-op puzzle choice
KeyWe is built for a smaller partnership. Its official FAQ says it can be played solo or cooperatively by up to two players, either locally or online. If your usual group is one friend rather than a whole party, that clear two-player focus makes it easier to recommend than a game whose design expects four or more.
Local and online options
The FAQ explicitly covers both local and online co-op. That gives a pair the choice between sharing a room and connecting remotely without changing the basic cooperative premise. Solo play is also supported, so one person can learn the game without waiting for a partner.

How it differs from PICO PARK
KeyWe is a themed task-and-puzzle game rather than a direct action-puzzle sequel. The communication requirement remains—two people must coordinate their actions—but the smaller maximum group and different presentation make it a companion recommendation, not a replacement for an eight-player session.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsPhysical copies and editions
The official FAQ says physical copies are sold through select retailers in some regions. That statement does not guarantee stock in your country or establish a particular storefront’s inventory. Check the current local listing and the edition’s supported online features before purchasing, especially if physical ownership matters to your group.
Unrailed!: coordination through railway construction
Unrailed! changes the objective while preserving the social pressure. Its developer says teams can cooperate with up to four players, play locally or online, and mix local and online players in the same session. Instead of solving a fixed platform puzzle, the group builds railway infrastructure together.
Why mixed local and online play is useful
A mixed session solves a common practical problem: two people may be in the same room while another joins remotely. According to the developer’s page, Unrailed! supports that combination rather than forcing every participant into the same connection type. For households that regularly host one or two guests while friends join online, this is a more relevant feature than a simple local-versus-online label.
Construction as the cooperative puzzle
The team’s decisions are about coordinating resources, track placement, and movement toward a shared railway goal. That makes the game a good alternative for players who enjoy calling out jobs and reacting to changing conditions. It is not a close platform-puzzle clone: choose it because you want teamwork and construction under pressure, not because you expect the exact level structure of PICO PARK.

Group-size fit
With a four-player maximum, Unrailed! is suited to a household or a small online team. It cannot replace an eight-player party, but it offers more flexibility than a strictly two-player game and explicitly supports local and remote participants together.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Heave Ho 2: party-platforming with online play
Heave Ho 2 is the choice for groups that want physical, chaotic platforming rather than a traditional puzzle board. Nintendo lists single-system play for two to four players and online play for two to four. The publisher likewise describes up to four players in online and local co-op and versus play.
Co-op and versus modes
The combination of co-op and versus gives a group more than one way to use the game. Cooperative sessions keep the team working toward a shared result; versus play changes the social dynamic for a group that wants competition after a few cooperative rounds. Both Nintendo and Devolver Digital identify local and online support, but verify the platform and edition you intend to use.
Release and online requirement
Nintendo’s listing gives July 16, 2026 as the release date. For Nintendo Switch 2 online features, Nintendo requires Nintendo Switch Online. That requirement applies to the Nintendo listing’s online functionality; it should not be generalized to another platform without checking that platform’s own service rules.

Choose by group size
One player
Death Squared and KeyWe both have official support for solo play. Death Squared is the more directly puzzle-centered option; KeyWe is the better choice if you expect to add one online or local partner later.
Two players
All five recommendations can be considered, but their emphasis differs. KeyWe is explicitly built around solo or two-player local/online co-op. Death Squared offers a compact cooperative puzzle format. PICO PARK 2 is the closest match to the original’s action-puzzle feel, while Heave Ho 2 emphasizes platforming and Unrailed! emphasizes construction.
Three or four players
Death Squared supports four, Unrailed! supports up to four, and Heave Ho 2 supports two to four in local and online modes. PICO PARK 2 also covers this range while leaving room to expand to a larger party. KeyWe is not intended for more than two players.
Five to eight players
PICO PARK 2 is the only recommendation in this list whose official Nintendo description supports up to eight players. Its online arrangement can place up to seven online participants on one Switch, subject to Nintendo’s online-service requirement and the edition being used.
Choose by connection type
Everyone in the same room
Start with PICO PARK 2, Death Squared, KeyWe, or Heave Ho 2 when couch play is the priority. Unrailed! is also appropriate and becomes especially distinctive if some players later need to join remotely.
Everyone online
PICO PARK 2 has the clearest official online specification, including cross-platform play. KeyWe explicitly supports online co-op for up to two. Heave Ho 2 lists online play for two to four. For Death Squared, confirm the specific edition because the cited Nintendo page does not fully establish online support.
A mixed room-and-online group
Unrailed! is the strongest documented fit because its developer explicitly says local and online multiplayer can be mixed. PICO PARK 2 can also accommodate a large online group, but confirm how the intended platform handles local players and online connections before scheduling the session.

- Count the actual players. Match the number to the game’s documented range rather than assuming a title scales automatically.
- Choose the connection pattern. Decide whether everyone is local, everyone is remote, or some players will share a room while others connect online.
- Check the exact platform listing. Official pages do not establish that every title is available on every system or that online modes work identically across editions.
- Verify online membership. Nintendo’s listings require Nintendo Switch Online for the stated online features of PICO PARK 2, the original PICO PARK, and Heave Ho 2.
- Confirm the edition and current availability. Physical distribution is specifically mentioned for KeyWe through select retailers in some regions; the Nintendo listings for PICO PARK 2 and Death Squared describe downloadable software.
- Plan for the game’s type of cooperation. Select an action-puzzle game for synchronized movement, a reasoning puzzle for deliberate planning, a construction game for real-time coordination, or a platformer for physical party chaos.
Final decision guide
- Closest to PICO PARK: PICO PARK 2.
- Largest documented group: PICO PARK 2, with two to eight players.
- Best for a pair: KeyWe if you want explicit local/online two-player support; Death Squared if puzzle solving is the priority.
- Best for mixed local and online players: Unrailed!.
- Best for a four-player party with platforming and versus options: Heave Ho 2.
- Best for a solo-capable puzzle: Death Squared or KeyWe, depending on whether you prefer a compact puzzle format or a themed two-player game.
For most groups searching specifically for “games like PICO PARK,” start with PICO PARK 2. Move to Death Squared or KeyWe when the party shrinks, to Unrailed! when mixed local/online construction sounds better, and to Heave Ho 2 when couch-platforming and versus play are the attraction.
