Reverse: 1999 is the clearest starting point for players who want a visible spending ceiling: its guide-reported system guarantees a six-star by 70 pulls, carries pity between limited and rate-up banners, and can guarantee the featured character after one lost 50/50. Limbus Company and Blue Archive are worth investigating if you prefer a clearly stated 200-pull spark. Arknights shows why the word “pity” is not enough: the compared banner type guarantees top rarity, but not the specific featured unit.
These are candidates for reducing a particular burden, not a universal ranking of the least-grindy games. Comparable current evidence for daily play time, banner frequency, duplicate requirements, real-money pull prices, and currency earned per hour is not established here. Banner rules can also change by patch or region, so verify the live in-game details before spending.
What “less grinding” and “less spending” actually mean
Gacha discussions often treat two different promises as if they were the same. A game can require little routine maintenance while making a desired character expensive to guarantee. Another can offer a transparent spark but expect regular event, mission, or endgame participation to earn enough currency. Decide which burden you are trying to reduce before comparing titles.

Lower spending risk
Spending risk is mainly about whether you can calculate a worst-case route to a specific character. A rarity guarantee is not necessarily a character guarantee. The useful questions are:
- Does the counter guarantee the named featured unit, or only a high-rarity result?
- Does the counter carry over when the banner changes?
- Can you lose a featured-character coin flip, and what happens after that loss?
- How many pulls might be needed from zero pity to secure the unit?
- What real-money price buys those pulls in your region?
Lower grind or upkeep
Grinding can mean daily missions, weekly resets, event farming, stamina management, or repeated endgame stages. The sources available for these games do not provide a comparable, current minutes-per-day measurement. Do not interpret a generous currency list as proof that a game takes only a few minutes, or that it requires no routine play.
Why currency matters as much as pity
A 200-pull spark is useful only if a free player can realistically accumulate currency before the desired unit disappears. Pull count is a design rule, not a cash price. Two games with the same counter can feel very different because of banner cadence, free rewards, paid-pack structure, duplicate requirements, and whether the counter survives a banner change.
At-a-glance comparison
| Game | Guide-reported banner mechanic | What it may reduce | Evidence about free progression | Important unknowns |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Reverse: 1999 | 1.5% base six-star rate; six-star guaranteed by 70 pulls; limited/rate-up featured chance reported as 50%; after losing that first featured roll, the next six-star is guaranteed featured; pity shared between limited and rate-up banners and carries over. | A visible ceiling for a featured unit. From zero pity, the stated worst case is two six-star outcomes, or 140 pulls. | Prydwen’s introduction guide lists daily and weekly Clear Drops, up to 600 Clear Drops from Limbo every two weeks, event and login rewards, more than 156 estimated new-player pulls through chapters 1–4, and 4,300 Clear Drops from listed recurring free-to-play sources in a 30-day/four-week month. | Exact daily time, live patch rules, currency conversion, banner cadence, duplicate needs, and regional pricing are not established. The reward totals are guide estimates, not guaranteed identical outcomes. |
| Limbus Company | GachaData’s 2026 comparison lists a 200-pull spark guarantee. | A fixed counter for the named unit, assuming the current banner’s spark rules apply. | Not stated in the cited comparison. | Free-currency rate, carryover, banner timing, duplicate requirements, and real-money cost are not stated. |
| Blue Archive | GachaData’s 2026 comparison lists a 200-pull spark guarantee. | A fixed counter for the named unit, assuming the current banner’s spark rules apply. | Not stated in the cited comparison. | Free-currency rate, carryover, banner timing, duplicate requirements, and real-money cost are not stated. |
| Arknights | For the banner type modeled by GachaData, soft pity begins at pull 51 and hard pity is pull 99, with no featured-unit guarantee in that comparison. | A better chance of a top-rarity result, but not a dependable maximum cost for the character you want. | Not stated in the cited comparison. | The analysis is banner-type-specific and secondary; current in-game rules and regional details must be checked. |
The table separates what is actually reported from what remains unknown. It should not be read as a value ranking: the cited GachaData comparison explicitly treats its mechanics comparison as something other than a complete value analysis.

Reverse: 1999: the most legible ceiling in this shortlist
How the reported pity works
Prydwen’s guide reports a 1.5% base six-star rate and a guaranteed six-star by the 70th pull. On a limited or rate-up banner, it reports a 50% chance that the six-star is the featured character. If that first featured-character roll is lost, the next six-star is guaranteed to be featured.
That distinction changes the budget. A player starting at zero pity could reach a six-star at 70 pulls, lose the featured 50/50, then need as many as 70 more pulls for the next guaranteed six-star: two six-star outcomes, or 140 pulls, in the stated worst case. The 70-pull number alone is therefore not a featured-character ceiling.
Why carryover is valuable
The same guide reports pity shared between limited and rate-up banners and carried over when those banners change. Carryover lets a player stop without wasting progress, provided the live banner categories still use the same shared counter. Confirm the banner information screen rather than assuming every banner follows that rule.
What is known about free currency
Prydwen’s introduction guide lists recurring daily and weekly Clear Drops, up to 600 Clear Drops from Limbo every two weeks, and additional event and login rewards. It also estimates that a new player progressing through chapters 1–4 earns a bit over 156 pulls. Its recurring-source table totals 4,300 Clear Drops for a 30-day/four-week month before events and other excluded sources.
Those figures answer different questions. The chapter estimate describes an early account accumulating one-time progression rewards; the 4,300-drop figure is a guide estimate for listed recurring sources over a four-week period. Neither guarantees the same result for every account, and the available evidence does not establish how much play time those tasks require. Do not turn either figure into a promise of effortless saving.
Monetization pressure beyond pulls
The introduction guide describes some paid skins and profile items as cosmetic and says skins do not provide stats. That can reduce pressure for players who want to keep purchases separate from combat performance, but it does not establish the price or availability of any individual item.

Who should investigate it
- Players who want a stated six-star counter and a path from a lost 50/50 to a guaranteed featured unit.
- Players who value pity carryover and are willing to verify that limited and rate-up banners share the counter in the current patch.
- New players who want a substantial one-time story reward pool, while understanding that the chapter figure is an estimate.
It is not established as the least time-consuming game in this list. The available material does not provide a comparable daily-play measurement.
Limbus Company: a 200-pull spark for deliberate saving
What the spark tells you
GachaData lists a 200-pull spark guarantee for Limbus Company in its 2026 comparison. A spark is a fixed counter at which the named unit can be obtained, which makes a saving plan easier to express than a system that only guarantees rarity.
The number is not automatically generous. A 200-pull counter can still be difficult to reach if free currency is slow, the unit appears at an inconvenient time, or the counter expires with the banner. The cited comparison does not establish Limbus Company’s current free-currency rate, carryover behavior, banner cadence, duplicate requirements, or regional cash cost.
Questions to answer in the live client
- Open the target banner and identify whether the 200 counter is a direct named-unit exchange or a different reward.
- Check whether progress carries to another banner or resets when the banner ends.
- Read the exchange list for duplicate materials, alternate units, or restrictions.
- Count your saved currency and calculate whether 200 pulls is achievable before the banner deadline.
- Record the paid-currency price in your region separately from the pull count.
Best fit
Limbus Company is a candidate for players who prefer an explicit, high counter over uncertain featured odds. It is not evidence of low grind by itself, because no comparable task-time or free-income figure is established here.
Blue Archive: the same spark length, a different overall question
What is established
GachaData’s 2026 comparison also lists a 200-pull spark guarantee for Blue Archive. This gives players a clearly stated pull counter to include in a budget, but the counter alone cannot show whether the game is cheaper, faster to save in, or less demanding than another title.

Do not transfer assumptions from another game
A 200-pull label does not tell you whether pity carries over, whether every banner uses the same counter, how often a desired character returns, or how many duplicates matter. Those details must be read from the current banner and account systems. The cited comparison does not supply them.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsBest fit
Investigate Blue Archive if a fixed 200-pull spark matches your planning style and you are prepared to save around the banner schedule. Treat “200 pulls” as the guarantee counter, not as a statement about low spending or low upkeep.
Arknights: why rarity pity is not a featured-unit budget
The reported numbers
For the banner type it models, GachaData lists soft pity beginning at pull 51 and hard pity at pull 99. It also reports no pull guarantee for the specific featured unit. In other words, the system can improve your chance of receiving a top-rarity result without promising that result is the character you selected.
The budgeting consequence
If your goal is one particular featured unit, a hard rarity ceiling does not provide a hard character ceiling. You could receive high-rarity characters without receiving the featured one, so multiplying the rarity pity by a simple number is not a reliable maximum-cost calculation.
This is a cautionary example rather than a verdict on Arknights as a whole. The comparison is secondary and scoped to a particular banner type. Check the current banner’s rules, including any special selection, guarantee, or exchange systems, before drawing a conclusion.
A practical method for comparing any gacha game
1. Identify the exact target
Write down whether you want a featured character, any top-rarity character, a weapon, or a duplicate. A system may guarantee one of those while offering no guarantee for another.
2. Separate rarity pity from character pity
- Rarity pity: guarantees or increases the chance of a high-rarity result.
- Featured guarantee: guarantees the named rate-up unit after a stated sequence.
- Spark: lets you exchange a fixed number of pulls for a specified unit or reward.
Record the exact trigger and reward. “Has pity” is too vague to compare.
3. Check carryover and banner families
Read whether pity survives a banner change, whether it is shared across limited and rate-up banners, and whether a lost featured roll creates a guarantee on the next high-rarity result. Reverse: 1999’s guide-reported shared carryover is materially different from a counter that expires or applies only to one banner.
4. Measure currency in the same time window
Use a 30-day or four-week worksheet and list each source separately:

- Daily missions and login rewards.
- Weekly activities and reset-based content.
- Endgame stages or ranked modes.
- Events and one-time story rewards.
- Maintenance, anniversary, or campaign gifts.
Mark each entry as recurring, one-time, event-only, or uncertain. Do not combine a new-player windfall with a normal monthly income.
5. Add upkeep to the currency calculation
For each source, note the required activity and reset deadline. A large reward that requires every weekly mode may be a poor fit for someone seeking low upkeep; a smaller reward available through occasional login may better match that player’s priority.
6. Calculate the featured-unit ceiling
Start at zero pity and model the unfavorable sequence shown by the banner rules. For Reverse: 1999, the guide-reported sequence is up to 70 pulls to the first six-star, a possible lost 50/50, and up to 70 more pulls for the guaranteed featured six-star: 140 pulls in that stated worst case. For a 200-pull spark, use 200 only if the current banner explicitly guarantees the named unit at that counter.
7. Keep cash cost separate
Multiply the required pulls by the actual regional purchase options only after establishing the pull ceiling. Packs, first-purchase bonuses, subscriptions, and promotional currency can change the result, and none of those prices is established for the shortlisted games here.

Calling every pity system a guarantee
A high-rarity guarantee may still produce an off-banner unit. Arknights’ compared banner type illustrates this distinction: pull 99 is a rarity ceiling in that model, not a featured-character promise.
Quoting the first six-star ceiling as the featured ceiling
In a 50/50 system, the first six-star can be the wrong character. Always include the post-loss guarantee when describing the maximum route. The reported Reverse: 1999 figures require up to two six-star outcomes, not merely one 70-pull result.

Counting one-time rewards as monthly income
Story chapters, beginner missions, and first-clear rewards can make a new account look rich. Keep those in a separate column from recurring daily, weekly, and event income.
Assuming a spark carries over
A spark can be fixed at 200 pulls and still reset at the end of a banner. Confirm the carryover rule in the current banner interface before stopping or switching targets.

Using “free-to-play” as a synonym for “low effort”
A game may give enough currency without cash purchases but require frequent resets, event farming, or high-difficulty content. Conversely, a game with fewer chores may offer less free currency. The available figures do not support a universal minutes-per-day claim.
Ignoring duplicates
If a character needs duplicates for a major power increase, the first-copy pity number understates the collection cost. Current comparable duplicate requirements were not established for these candidates, so inspect the upgrade system before committing to a long-term account.
Which candidate matches your priority?
If you want the clearest featured-unit route
Start with Reverse: 1999’s reported 70-pull six-star counter, 50/50 sequence, and carryover. Budget for the stated 140-pull worst case from zero pity, then verify the live banner text.
If you prefer a single, explicit exchange counter
Investigate Limbus Company or Blue Archive, both listed with a 200-pull spark by GachaData in 2026. Before choosing, confirm what the spark buys, whether progress carries over, and how much currency your normal schedule produces.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →If you dislike high spark numbers but can accept uncertainty
Arknights’ modeled 51-pull soft pity and 99-pull hard pity may look smaller, but the cited comparison gives no featured-unit guarantee. Choose this type of system only if you are comfortable with an uncapped featured-character outcome or have verified another active selection mechanism.
If low daily time is your non-negotiable requirement
None of these sources establishes a fair, current time-per-day comparison. Use the in-game mission lists and weekly reset schedule during a trial period, or seek a separately sourced time study, rather than relying on a “low grind” label.
Verify the rules before spending
- Open the exact banner you intend to use and screenshot its rates, pity text, exchange counter, and end date.
- Confirm whether the banner is limited, rate-up, standard, or a special event type.
- Check the history screen to see which pulls count toward the current counter.
- Read the guarantee wording for the featured character, not just the top-rarity percentage.
- Check whether pity, spark currency, and a lost 50/50 state carry over.
- List recurring and one-time currency sources separately and note their reset requirements.
- Set a personal stop point below your cash limit; a theoretical ceiling is not a reason to exceed it.
- Recheck the rules after major patches, because rates, rewards, banner categories, and shop items can change.
Bottom line
For lower spending uncertainty, Reverse: 1999 has the most detailed reported path in this shortlist: a 70-pull six-star guarantee, a featured 50/50 that becomes guaranteed after a loss, and pity carryover between the guide’s limited and rate-up categories. Limbus Company and Blue Archive offer a different kind of clarity through listed 200-pull sparks. Arknights is the reminder to distinguish rarity pity from a featured-unit guarantee. None of these mechanics proves a game is universally low-grind, so choose according to the burden you actually want to reduce and verify the live rules before pulling.
