As of October 13, 2026, the two currently reported free-to-keep games are Out of Sight and TerraScape on the Epic Games Store for PC. Both are reported claimable through October 15. Steam and Xbox promotions recently reported in other roundups have already expired, and current PlayStation and Prime Gaming/Amazon Luna offers are not confirmed here. Check your own storefront before claiming: availability can vary by region and the weekly Epic offer can change.
Free games to claim now: Epic Games Store (PC)
PC Gamer’s October 8 update lists these two games as free to keep from October 8 through October 15, 2026. The reported window remains open on October 13, but confirm that each game still displays as free in the Epic Games Store for your account and region before checkout.
| Game | Offer and reported deadline | What it is | Usual price listed by PC Gamer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Out of Sight | Free to keep on Epic Games Store for PC, October 8–15, 2026 | Horror puzzle game in which Sophie, a blind girl, sees through her teddy bear’s eyes | $14.99 |
| TerraScape | Free to keep on Epic Games Store for PC, October 8–15, 2026 | Medieval city-building puzzler with single-player and multiplayer modes | $16.99 |
These dates and regular prices come from PC Gamer’s October 8 listing, not a guarantee of what every regional storefront will display at checkout. Epic says it offers a new free game every Thursday on mobile and PC and directs users to its promotions page; the official page may not show individual weekly titles in every view. See PC Gamer’s current Epic free-games listing for the reported titles and dates.
How to claim the Epic games
- Open the Epic Games Store on PC or visit its free games page.
- Check that Out of Sight or TerraScape is shown as free for your region and account, and verify the offer’s end date before proceeding.
- Sign in to your Epic account, select the game, and complete the checkout at the displayed $0 price. Confirm that it appears in your library; the reported promotion is free to keep after claiming, rather than a temporary play period.
Next Epic offers are not current offers
PC Gamer lists Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise and Bad Cheese as the next Epic offers, from October 15 through October 22. Treat them as upcoming until the storefront changes over and confirms the free claim. Weekly promotions can change sooner than a guide’s update date.

What “free” means on a game storefront
A $0 label can describe very different kinds of access. Epic’s official page separates weekly giveaways from its standing free-to-play catalog and demos, so check the offer type before assuming a game will remain in your library.
- Free to keep: Claim the game during a limited promotion and it is added to your account library for ongoing access, subject to the storefront’s terms.
- Free-to-play: The game is available to start without buying it, but that does not mean it is a limited-time giveaway or that all content is free. Epic’s free-to-play listings include Fortnite, Rocket League, Genshin Impact and Fall Guys.
- Demo: A sample of a game, not a claim to the full release.
- Free weekend or Free Play Days: Temporary access during the event window; it is not a permanent free-to-keep claim.
- Subscription catalog: Access depends on an active qualifying subscription and catalog availability. A game in a catalog is not necessarily yours to keep.
Steam, Xbox, PlayStation and Prime Gaming: what is confirmed
A list of free games goes stale quickly. The available reports do not establish a complete current lineup for every platform on October 13, so the expired offers below are useful examples of why dates matter—not recommendations to claim now.

| Platform | What the dated source reports | Status on October 13, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Steam | An October 10 weekly roundup reported Pony Island free to keep through October 12, plus free weekends for ARC Raiders, Core Keeper and Squad 44. Source | The reported claim deadline has passed or the temporary play window has ended by October 13. Check Steam directly for current promotions. |
| Xbox | Xbox Wire announced Free Play Days for Far Cry 6, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Skull and Bones and The Crew Motorfest, October 1–4. Xbox said Game Pass was not required for that particular event. Source | The event is over. Its membership exception applies to that event only, not necessarily to other Free Play Days offers. |
| PlayStation | An October 8 cross-platform roundup mixes subscription titles, giveaways and other offers, and does not establish a current October 13 lineup or eligibility. Source | No specific current claim is confirmed here. Check the PlayStation Store and the terms shown for the offer. |
| Prime Gaming / Amazon Luna | The same October 8 roundup does not establish a complete current lineup or eligibility; some entries were already expired. Source | No specific current claim is confirmed here. Verify whether an offer is a keep-forever claim, a subscription benefit or temporary access. |
Check an offer before spending time on it
- Look at the live listing: Confirm the price is $0 or explicitly marked free, rather than relying on an older roundup.
- Read the end date: Note the platform’s displayed deadline and time zone where provided. A date in a guide may not reflect a late change or your region.
- Identify the access type: Distinguish a free-to-keep claim from a demo, free weekend or subscription catalog entry.
- Check platform and eligibility: Make sure the offer is for your device and account, and review any subscription or regional restrictions shown in the storefront.
- Complete the claim before the cutoff: For a free-to-keep deal, finish the $0 checkout and verify the game is in your library rather than assuming that opening its page is enough.
Epic’s official information on its weekly promotion and separate free-to-play and demo listings is available on its free games page and storefront. For older event dates, see Xbox Wire’s October 1 announcement.
