Start with Astro’s Playroom if you want a first PS5 Platinum: it is preinstalled, playable offline, forgiving, short, and its cleanup activities show you exactly how the DualSense works. For a single evening, Venba, The Gardens Between, What Remains of Edith Finch (PS5), Donut County, The Artful Escape, Unpacking, and TOEM are the quickest low-pressure choices. If you want a longer adventure without punishing trophy requirements, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Ghost of Tsushima, and God of War Ragnarök are safer bets.

What makes a Platinum genuinely easy?

Then add your own constraints: preferred genre, tolerance for a second playthrough, willingness to follow a guide, and whether you already own the game or can access it through PlayStation Plus. The difficulty ratings in this article use a 1–10 scale reported in the researched list; they are comparative estimates, not an official standard.

Fastest low-stress choices
These are the strongest options when the goal is to finish a Platinum quickly without a demanding combat system. Hours are estimated total completion times.

Venba
Venba is the fastest story-led option in the list. Its cooking puzzles are compact, and the trophy route consists mainly of performing particular actions in the appropriate chapters. Keep a chapter checklist beside you rather than rushing through dialogue, because a missed interaction can require replaying that section. There is no online requirement or combat skill test.
The Gardens Between
This atmospheric puzzle game asks you to manipulate time around two friends and their environments. The puzzles are gentle, and a little cleanup remains after the main route. If you are using a guide, follow it level by level so you do not have to identify the one missed collectible or interaction later.
What Remains of Edith Finch on PS5
The PS5 version is a particularly important edition check: its native trophy list includes a Platinum, while the original PS4 list does not. The adventure is mostly exploration and short story vignettes, with no online play. Buy or launch the PS5 entitlement deliberately; owning the PS4 release does not by itself guarantee a second Platinum list.
Donut County
You control a growing hole that swallows objects in simple physics puzzles. Controls are forgiving, but a few trophies depend on doing a specific interaction during a particular stage. A spoiler-light list that names the stage and action is enough; you do not need a full video walkthrough.
Astro’s Playroom
Every PS5 includes the game preinstalled, so it is the obvious no-cost starting point for a new console owner. The campaign introduces DualSense features, and the trophy route is offline. After the main rooms, use the activity cards and the in-game collectible displays to identify unfinished areas. Special actions—such as interacting with particular objects—are the part most likely to require a checklist. Because stages can be revisited, a missed action is recoverable rather than permanently missable.
The Artful Escape
This music-focused platform adventure is story-led and low pressure. Its trophies are tied to optional interactions in named chapters, so pause at chapter transitions and consult a list before moving on. There is no combat mastery requirement and no online component.

Unpacking
Unpacking has no combat, timer, or fail state. You arrange household objects across rooms, making it approachable even if you rarely play games. The hidden trophies ask for particular placements or playful object combinations; they are the reason to use a guide. If you prefer discovery, finish the story first and then revisit rooms with only the hidden-object checklist.
TOEM
TOEM combines photography with small-town side quests. Areas remain revisit-able, so you can return for a photograph or quest after completing the main path. Keep notes on requests that unlock new locations and on photo conditions; the cleanup is broader than in the shorter story games but still avoids combat and online play.

Stray
Most of Stray is accessible, but two trophies change the profile. One asks for a speedrun completed in two hours, and another requires taking no damage during a chase. Treat the first playthrough as familiarisation, then make a separate timed attempt with a route guide. The no-hit section is short, yet restarting after a mistake can be frustrating; lower the pressure by backing up your save where the game and system allow it.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
The campaign is forgiving and the remaining objectives are easy to clean up from the world map. A brief Challenge Mode run is required, but it is not a full second campaign at normal difficulty. Upgrade weapons naturally, then use the map to mop up collectibles and optional activities before starting Challenge Mode.
Life is Strange: True Colors
This narrative adventure is rated 1/10 in the researched list. Collectibles and optional memories are the focus, with no demanding action sequence. It is listed as requiring a PSN connection, so make sure your console can sign in before starting. Chapter select lets you return for missed memories rather than replaying the entire story.
RoboCop: Rogue City
RoboCop is more combat-heavy than the other mid-length choices, but the estimated difficulty remains low. Trophies combine story progress with combat feats and side objectives. Read the objective wording before each mission and make manual saves where the game permits; finishing a mission can close an opportunity to perform a particular feat.
Astro Bot
Astro Bot expands the platforming formula with more worlds and challenge stages. Ordinary movement is approachable, while the final cleanup asks for every collectible and completion of the harder challenge rooms. If a challenge stage is consuming your time, finish the main worlds first and return with the full set of abilities and a clear list of remaining bots and puzzle pieces.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
The trophy list is friendly, but a New Game Plus run is required. Use the first run to complete story and activities, unlock upgrades, and learn the map. On New Game Plus, prioritize the remaining trophies rather than repeating every optional activity unless the list specifically requires it.

Spider-Man 2 has a low estimated difficulty because combat is forgiving and most objectives are clearly marked. The time comes from finishing every district activity and side story. Use the map filters after the campaign and clear one district at a time; this prevents repeated swings across the city and makes the final cleanup predictable.
Ghost of Tsushima
Ghost of Tsushima has no online trophies and no permanent missables in the researched route. Its challenge is volume: a large open world, side tales, collectibles, and exploration activities. You can play naturally, then use the map and region filters for cleanup. The 40–50-hour estimate reflects breadth rather than a harsh trophy skill check.
God of War Ragnarök
The main story and most side content are manageable, but optional endgame bosses are the catch. Upgrade equipment and abilities during the campaign instead of leaving every favor for the end. Set the difficulty to a comfortable level; the Platinum does not require a high difficulty setting. Reserve time for the post-story arenas and bosses, which are substantially tougher than ordinary encounters.

For a first-ever Platinum

Pick Venba for the shortest story, The Gardens Between for environmental puzzles, Edith Finch for narrative exploration, or Donut County for simple physics play. The Artful Escape is the best fit if music and visual style matter more than puzzle solving.
For no combat
Unpacking, Venba, The Gardens Between, Edith Finch, Donut County, The Artful Escape, and TOEM avoid conventional combat. Unpacking is the most forgiving mechanically; TOEM has the broadest side-quest cleanup.

For a platforming challenge without a punishing Platinum
Astro’s Playroom is the gentlest introduction, while Astro Bot adds challenge stages and a larger collectible sweep. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart offers shooting and platforming with generous checkpoints and only a short Challenge Mode requirement.
For a substantial adventure
Spider-Man 2 and Ghost of Tsushima spread their trophies across open-world activities. God of War Ragnarök is similarly long but places more of its difficulty in optional endgame bosses. Select among them based on whether you prefer traversal, stealth exploration, or character-action combat.

A game having PS4 and PS5 editions does not automatically mean two Platinum trophies. Trophy lists are attached to specific products and versions, and publishers can provide one shared list or separate lists with different trophy structures.
- On the game page, expand the trophy information and identify whether the list is labelled PS4, PS5, or both.
- Open the full list and confirm that a Platinum trophy icon is present for the edition you intend to play.
- Read every trophy description for missables, online requirements, speedrun limits, and required second playthroughs.
- Check whether your purchase grants both editions or only one; a disc, digital licence, or upgrade path can differ by release.
- After launching, press the PlayStation button and verify the active trophy list before earning progress.
What Remains of Edith Finch demonstrates why this matters: the native PS5 list has a Platinum, while the original PS4 list does not. Do not assume that transferring a save or owning the older version creates another Platinum automatically.

Sometimes, but catalogue membership changes by month and region. Before paying, check the current PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium catalogue and the Essential monthly games for your account’s country. A title can leave Extra or Premium, or be unavailable in another region, so a recommendation based on a different country or month may not apply to you.
Use the catalogue check as a purchase decision, not as a guarantee that every listed game is currently included. If a game is absent, PlatPrices recommends checking price history, recurring sales such as Days of Play and Black Friday, and wishlist alerts. A practical trophy-planning workflow
- Choose the edition first. Confirm PS4 or PS5 and the presence of a Platinum before downloading or inserting a disc.
- Read the complete list once. Mark trophies described as missable, chapter-specific, online, speedrun, no-hit, or New Game Plus.
- Decide between blind play and a guide. For Venba, Donut County, The Artful Escape, and Unpacking, a short chapter checklist prevents most replaying. For open worlds, play naturally and use the map for cleanup.
- Make a save plan. Keep a manual save before a chapter-specific action or combat-feat opportunity when the game supports manual saves. Do not overwrite your only completed save with an experimental attempt.
- Finish the story before broad cleanup when appropriate. Spider-Man 2, Ghost of Tsushima, and TOEM expose more activities as you progress, making late cleanup more efficient.
- Schedule a separate attempt for special conditions. Stray’s two-hour run and no-hit chase are easier when treated as dedicated attempts rather than rushed into a first playthrough.
- Check the trophy list after each milestone. Synchronize with PSN when online is required, then confirm that the trophy registered before moving on.
Common failure points and fixes
You finished the story but the Platinum did not pop
Open the trophy list and sort by unearned items. Many easy Platinums hide one interaction, collectible set, or side quest outside the critical path. Use chapter select or the world map rather than replaying blindly. In Unpacking, inspect hidden placements; in Astro’s Playroom, revisit displays and special-action locations.
You bought the wrong version
Check the active list on the console. If it is the PS4 list for Edith Finch, it will not contain the PS5 Platinum. Stop before investing time and verify whether your licence includes the correct native version.
A game requires an online sign-in
True Colors is listed with a PSN connection requirement, unlike the offline games in the tables. Sign in and allow the trophy data to synchronize before starting. If your connection is intermittent, avoid assuming a delayed trophy will backfill without checking the list.

A supposedly easy game has one difficult trophy
Read the exceptions, not just the average rating. Stray’s speedrun and no-hit chase, Astro Bot’s challenge stages, and Ragnarök’s optional bosses are concentrated difficulty spikes. Reserve a separate practice session and lower the game difficulty where the trophy rules permit it.
You want two Platinums from one purchase
Separate PS4 and PS5 lists are not guaranteed, and save transfers can be restricted or can auto-populate trophies in ways that differ by title. Confirm the publisher’s edition details and the full lists before treating a cross-generation purchase as two completions.
What the estimates do—and do not—tell you
Completion times and difficulty numbers here come from community-style trophy guides summarized by PlatPrices and related list data. Sony does not publish a universal easy-Platinum ranking or fixed completion-time standard. Times can shift with accessibility settings, guide use, exploration habits, patches, and regional or edition differences. Use the numbers to choose a route, then verify the live trophy list and catalogue status for your exact product.
For the safest first step, launch Astro’s Playroom. For the fastest deliberate finish, choose Venba. For a longer game that remains forgiving, select Rift Apart or Spider-Man 2; choose Ghost of Tsushima or God of War Ragnarök only if you are comfortable with a 40-hour-plus cleanup and, in Ragnarök’s case, optional endgame fights.
