Short answer: Choose the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 when a sale makes a full Wear OS experience affordable; choose the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE or Xiaomi Watch 2 when you want Wear OS at a lower normal price; choose the Amazfit Bip 6 for the lowest listed price and long rated battery life; and choose the Redmi Watch 5 only when basic notifications and endurance matter more than exercise-heart-rate consistency.
There is no single best cheap Android smartwatch. The important decision is whether you need the broader apps and integrations of Wear OS or would rather accept a more limited software ecosystem in exchange for lower cost and fewer charging sessions. The five watches below are a use-case shortlist based on published specifications and review reporting, not a universal laboratory ranking. Street prices, stock, software versions and feature availability change by country and date.
Quick shortlist: which cheap Android smartwatch fits you?
| Watch | Best fit | Platform | Main advantage | Important compromise | Price context |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 | People who want a premium-style smartwatch at clearance pricing | Wear OS | Broad app support and premium sensors | Shorter endurance than simpler fitness watches | Value depends on a sale or remaining stock |
| Samsung Galaxy Watch FE | Buyers who want Samsung’s Wear OS interface at a budget position | Wear OS | Access to the Wear OS app model in a smaller-budget watch | Compare its price and specifications with discounted older flagships | Regional pricing varies; India launch was September 26, 2024 |
| Xiaomi Watch 2 | Android users seeking a lower-cost route into Wear OS | Wear OS | Third-party apps without flagship-level pricing | Published review reporting describes roughly one day of battery | Check local availability and current retailer price |
| Amazfit Bip 6 | Shoppers prioritizing low upfront cost and long rated battery life | Zepp proprietary platform | AMOLED screen, 140-plus workout modes and a long manufacturer estimate | Not the same third-party app experience as Wear OS | $79.99 on Amazfit’s US product page when accessed in 2026 |
| Redmi Watch 5 | Basic smart features, large display and endurance | Proprietary platform | 2.07-inch AMOLED display and a long listed battery rating | Wareable found exercise heart-rate readings inconsistent | Regional pricing and stock vary |
Use the table as a starting point, then match the compromises to your phone, apps, charging habits and fitness expectations. A cheap watch that cannot run the app or payment service you need is not a bargain, while a model with excessive features can be poor value if you only want notifications and step counts.

What Wear OS gives you
Wear OS is the key dividing line in this shortlist. The Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch FE and Xiaomi Watch 2 use Google’s smartwatch operating system, so they can draw on a broader third-party watch-app ecosystem than a proprietary fitness platform. That matters if you want to add apps rather than rely only on the functions shipped by the manufacturer. It is also the more plausible route for buyers asking whether a budget watch can combine Google Maps, payments and a decent app selection, although support for any particular service must be checked for the exact watch, country and phone.

The trade-off is power consumption and complexity. Wear OS watches generally do more background work, support more apps and offer richer interactions, so charging is usually more frequent than with a notification-and-fitness watch. The Xiaomi Watch 2 illustrates that compromise particularly clearly: its review coverage describes a single-day battery experience.
What proprietary systems prioritize
The Amazfit Bip 6 and Redmi Watch 5 use their manufacturers’ own software ecosystems rather than Wear OS. These platforms can still deliver phone notifications, activity tracking, workouts, alarms and everyday watch functions. Their narrower app model is often deliberate: fewer background services and a more controlled feature set help them run longer between charges and keep prices down.
Do not treat a long battery rating as proof that one of these watches can replace a Wear OS model. A proprietary watch may lack a watch version of an app you use, provide fewer ways to reply to messages, or handle navigation and payments differently. Decide which functions are essential before comparing battery numbers.

Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →How to compare a cheap Android smartwatch
1. App and service requirements
Write down the functions you will actually use: notification mirroring, message replies, navigation, music controls, alarms, contactless payments, calls, workout recording or health trends. Then verify support for each function on the exact model. “Android compatible” is a broad statement; it does not guarantee that every app or feature works on every Android phone.
2. Battery evidence, not just a large number
Battery figures in this shortlist come from different kinds of evidence. Some are manufacturer estimates for a specified mode, one is a review report, and the Galaxy Watch 7 figure is an editorial estimate. Screen brightness, always-on display, GPS, LTE, notifications, workouts and temperature can move real endurance far from a headline rating. Compare like with like and plan for the charging routine you can tolerate.
3. Phone and brand compatibility
Android support does not make every watch feature universal. Samsung health functions can be limited when a Galaxy watch is paired with a non-Galaxy phone, so check the exact phone requirement before buying. Also confirm the minimum Android version, companion app availability, Bluetooth requirements and whether the watch’s regional model is sold in your country.

Equipped with high-precision sensors, fitness watch accurately tracks steps, distance, calories burned, and workout duration to help analyze performance and optimize training plans. With an IP68 rating, it's resistant to sweat, rain, and handwashing (Not for swimming or hot showers)
- All-Day Health Monitoring: Android smart watch is equipped with a high-precision optical sensor that supports 24h real-time heart rate monitoring, helping you stay informed about your physical condition. It also intelligently analyzes sleep quality, accurately identifying deep sleep, light sleep, and awake phases to help improve your sleep habits. Paired with its dedicated app, you can view long-term health trends and receive personalized insights to gradually develop a healthier lifestyle
4. Fitness reliability
A list of sensors or workout modes describes capability, not accuracy. For casual activity reminders, a broad mode list may be useful. For structured training, heart-rate consistency, GPS behavior and data export matter more than the number of activities in a menu. Wareable’s Redmi Watch 5 review reported inconsistent exercise heart-rate readings; that is a reason to avoid it for serious training, regardless of its attractive battery specification.
5. The price at the moment you buy
Cheap smartwatch value is unusually sensitive to sales. The Galaxy Watch 7 is compelling mainly when a newer generation pushes the older flagship into clearance pricing. The Bip 6’s $79.99 figure was the US manufacturer’s listed price when accessed in 2026, not a guaranteed price in another region or at a later date. Treat both as time-and-market-specific reference points, not permanent price promises.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 7: best discounted full-feature option
Why it stands out
The Galaxy Watch 7 is the strongest choice when you want a conventional smartwatch experience and can find the previous-generation flagship at a substantial discount. Android Central describes it as heavily discounted as newer generations arrive, while retaining Wear OS apps and premium sensors. That combination gives buyers a fuller app ecosystem and more advanced hardware than many budget-first watches.
Battery expectation
Android Central’s scorecard estimates up to 40 hours per charge. “Up to” is important: an always-on display, frequent workouts, GPS and notifications can reduce the interval, and a Wear OS watch normally requires more frequent charging than a simpler fitness tracker. Consider whether charging every day or two fits your routine before choosing it over a proprietary-platform model.
Who should buy it
- Android users who want downloadable watch apps and richer interactions.
- Buyers who find a genuine clearance or sale price below newer flagship models.
- People who value premium sensor hardware and smartwatch features more than multi-week endurance.
Who should skip it
Skip the Watch 7 if your priority is charging as rarely as possible, if its sale price is close to a newer model, or if you only need notifications and basic workouts. In those cases, the extra Wear OS capability may not justify the shorter endurance and higher purchase cost.
Samsung Galaxy Watch FE: budget Wear OS inside Samsung’s ecosystem
What makes it different from the Watch 7
The Galaxy Watch FE is a distinct budget-oriented Samsung candidate, not simply another name for the Watch 7. Samsung’s India specifications page identifies it as powered by Wear OS and dates its launch there to September 26, 2024. It is aimed at buyers who want Samsung’s software approach and access to Wear OS apps without paying for the newest flagship tier.

How to evaluate the deal
Because regional prices and bundles change, compare the FE directly with discounted previous-generation flagship watches available in your market. A small price gap can make an older flagship the better hardware value; a meaningful gap can make the FE the sensible entry point. Check the included sensors, case size, connectivity variant and software support rather than assuming that the FE offers every flagship feature.
Phone compatibility warning
Samsung-specific health features may require a Galaxy phone or may work differently on another Android handset. Confirm those restrictions before purchase if ECG-style measurements, advanced health dashboards or other Samsung services are central to your decision. The basic Wear OS app model is not a guarantee that every Samsung feature is unlocked on every phone.
Best use case
Choose the FE when you want a recognizable smartwatch interface, notifications and downloadable apps, and you prefer Samsung’s design and companion software. It is less suitable for someone choosing solely on battery endurance or for a buyer who has found a similarly priced clearance flagship with clearly stronger hardware.
Xiaomi Watch 2: lower-cost entry to Wear OS
Why Android users consider it
Wareable describes the Xiaomi Watch 2 as a compelling low-cost Wear OS device for Android users. Its central advantage is access to third-party apps without requiring a top-tier flagship purchase. That makes it a practical middle ground: more extensible than a proprietary watch, but positioned below the most expensive Wear OS models.
The battery compromise
The same review identifies a single-day battery as a compromise. Plan for regular charging, particularly if you use an always-on display, GPS workouts or a heavy flow of notifications. This is the clearest distinction between the Watch 2 and long-endurance choices such as the Bip 6 or Redmi Watch 5.
Who should choose it
- Android users who specifically want Wear OS apps at a lower entry price.
- Buyers who accept daily charging in exchange for broader software support.
- People whose phone and region support the Xiaomi companion setup and desired services.
Who should look elsewhere
Choose a different model if missing a charge would be unacceptable, if you do not need third-party apps, or if your local price approaches a discounted Samsung flagship. Verify stock and software support in your country before ordering because availability is not uniform.

Amazfit Bip 6: lowest listed price and long rated endurance
What you get
Amazfit’s US product page listed the Bip 6 at $79.99 when accessed in 2026. The watch has an AMOLED display and more than 140 workout modes, making it attractive for shoppers who want a modern screen and broad activity menus without paying Wear OS prices.
Recommended Free Tools
Interpreting the battery claim
Amazfit states: “Regular typical use of the Bip 6 will result in about 14 days of battery while power saver mode will extend it to 26 days.” Those are the manufacturer’s estimates, not independent battery-test results. Real endurance depends on display settings, workout tracking, notifications and other usage. The power-saver figure also describes a mode with reduced functionality, so do not compare it directly with a fully featured smartwatch used at maximum settings.
The software trade-off
The Bip 6 runs in Amazfit’s proprietary Zepp ecosystem rather than Wear OS. You can receive core notifications and use fitness features, but the proposition is not the same as installing a wide range of third-party watch apps. If your must-have list includes a particular navigation, payment or communication app, verify support before buying instead of assuming that Android compatibility supplies it.
Best buyer profile
Pick the Bip 6 when long intervals between charges, a low listed price and fitness-oriented functions matter more than a large app catalog. It is especially sensible for someone who wants a dependable everyday activity watch and can live with a more controlled software environment.

Core strengths
Wareable lists the Redmi Watch 5 as compatible with Android and iOS, with a 2.07-inch AMOLED display and up to 24 days of battery life. That combination suits buyers who want a large, readable screen, notifications and basic activity features while minimizing charging.

Fitness limitation
Wareable’s review found exercise heart-rate readings inconsistent. Treat that as a material limitation for training decisions. A watch can still be useful for reminders, general movement trends or casual workouts, but readers who depend on heart-rate zones, interval sessions or reliable exercise data should choose a different model or use a dedicated sensor.

Who should buy it
- People who value endurance and a large AMOLED screen over downloadable apps.
- Households where iPhone and Android compatibility is useful.
- Casual users who do not require high-confidence exercise heart-rate data.
Who should avoid it
Do not make it your first choice for serious training, or when you need a Wear OS app ecosystem. Its long battery rating cannot compensate for a missing app or unreliable workout heart-rate readings.
Battery comparison: what the published figures actually mean
| Model | Published endurance evidence | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy Watch 7 | Up to 40 hours, according to Android Central’s 2026 scorecard | Editorial estimate; Wear OS usage and display settings affect the result |
| Galaxy Watch FE | Not stated in the supplied specifications | Check the exact regional model and current review data before purchase |
| Xiaomi Watch 2 | Single-day experience in Wareable’s review | Review observation rather than a multi-week manufacturer rating |
| Amazfit Bip 6 | About 14 days typical use; up to 26 days in power-saver mode | Amazfit manufacturer estimates, not independent testing |
| Redmi Watch 5 | Up to 24 days, as listed in Wareable’s 2026 guide | Rating depends on usage and should not be treated as a guaranteed interval |
These figures are not directly interchangeable. A Wear OS watch is supporting a broader software stack, while a proprietary watch may achieve a longer rating by doing less in the background. Choose the platform first, then use endurance to separate models within that platform.
A practical buying checklist
- Define your must-have apps. Name the exact navigation, payment, music, messaging and health services you expect to use. Confirm watch support for your country and phone.
- Check the phone requirement. Verify Android version, companion app, Bluetooth pairing and any Samsung-only health features. Android compatibility alone is not enough.
- Set a charging limit. Decide whether daily, every-few-days or multi-week charging is acceptable. Use the appropriate battery evidence rather than comparing every headline number as if it were a lab result.
- Set a fitness standard. For casual activity, feature breadth may be sufficient. For serious training, give greater weight to independent review observations about heart-rate reliability.
- Check the current local price. Re-evaluate the Galaxy Watch 7 whenever a sale appears, and compare the Galaxy Watch FE with discounted older flagships. Treat the $79.99 Bip 6 listing as a US reference captured in 2026, not a universal price.
- Confirm return and support arrangements. Regional stock, software updates, warranty terms and replacement chargers can differ. A low price is less attractive if support is unavailable where you live.
Which one should you buy?
Choose the Galaxy Watch 7 for the best deal on a fuller smartwatch
Buy it when clearance pricing puts a premium Wear OS watch within your budget and you accept charging roughly every day or two. It is the most compelling option here for an app-focused buyer who finds a genuine discount.
Choose the Galaxy Watch FE for a Samsung-centered budget route
Choose the FE when Samsung’s interface and Wear OS access matter, but your market prices it clearly below older flagship alternatives. Check phone-specific health restrictions first.
Choose the Xiaomi Watch 2 for lower-cost Wear OS
Pick the Watch 2 when third-party apps are non-negotiable and a single-day battery is an acceptable trade. It is the straightforward middle ground between app breadth and price.
Choose the Amazfit Bip 6 for battery and price
The Bip 6 is the best fit for a buyer who values a low listed price, long manufacturer-rated endurance and many workout modes more than Wear OS apps. Remember that its Zepp ecosystem is proprietary.
Choose the Redmi Watch 5 for basic use and fewer charges
Select the Redmi Watch 5 for a large AMOLED display, everyday smart features and long rated endurance when serious exercise heart-rate accuracy is not a requirement. Its review-reported inconsistency makes it a poor training-first choice.
