The Logitech Pebble Keys 2 K380s is the best-supported place to start if you want a compact, budget-oriented Bluetooth keyboard: it pairs with up to three devices, works with a broad range of operating systems and has a manufacturer-rated battery life of up to 36 months. That rating is not an independent test, and the K380s is not a fit for everyone: it has no number pad, its round keys may take adjustment, and its typing angle is fixed.
There is not enough comparable evidence to name five verified budget winners. Prices and stock depend on location and change over time, while the available comparisons are not standardized hands-on tests. Rather than invent a ranking, this guide gives you the strongest supported compact pick, a number-pad alternative to investigate, and a clear way to choose between them.
Best budget Bluetooth keyboard: the Logitech Pebble Keys 2 K380s
The K380s is the clearest recommendation when small size and switching among devices matter more than a number pad. Logitech’s 2023 specification sheet says it can pair with up to three devices, with dedicated Easy-Switch buttons for moving between them. It uses Bluetooth Low Energy and ships with two pre-installed AA batteries; the listed package contents do not include a receiver. Logitech’s K380s specifications.

The reviewer also notes that the circular keycaps can take adjustment and that the keyboard has no adjustable stands. Logitech supplied the review sample and had no input into the review. These are useful practical observations, not the result of a standardized comparison against four other keyboards. Windows Central’s review.

What to check before buying
- Layout: It is a compact keyboard without a number pad. If you routinely enter figures, a compact full-size option may be more useful.
- Typing feel: The round keys and compact spacing may feel unfamiliar. If possible, try a similar layout before committing.
- Angle: Its feet do not provide adjustable typing angles.
- Connection: The product sheet describes Bluetooth Low Energy and lists two AA batteries in the box, but no receiver. Confirm receiver compatibility separately rather than assuming a USB receiver will work.
Compatibility, battery life and size
Logitech lists compatibility with Windows 10/11 or later, macOS 11 or later, iPadOS 14 or later, iOS 14 or later, Android 9.0 or later, ChromeOS and Linux; Bluetooth Low Energy is required. Logi Options+ customization is available only on Windows and macOS, and basic keyboard functions work without the app. Check the current system requirements if you depend on custom shortcuts. Logitech’s K380s specifications.
Logitech claims up to 36 months of battery life, but says actual results vary with use and computing conditions. This is a manufacturer estimate, not an independently measured result. The support page lists dimensions of 279.5 × 124.2 × 16.4 mm and weights of 395 g without batteries or 415 g with them. Logitech also publishes durability figures of 10 million presses for standard keys and 3 million for function and cursor keys; these are manufacturer specifications, not independently verified durability results. Need a number pad? Check the Logitech K250
The Logitech K250 Compact Bluetooth Keyboard is a candidate if you need a number pad but still want a relatively compact frame. The PC Journal’s comparison describes it as spill-resistant and says it has adjustable tilt legs. It relays a manufacturer battery-life rating of up to 12 months; that is a claimed rating, not a measured test result. Its guide says its recommendations were assessed from manufacturers’ published specifications, not tested in-house, so treat the K250 as an option to verify rather than a proven winner. Why this is not a ranked top five
A useful top-five list needs a defined price ceiling and market, current local prices, and enough comparable evidence to assess layout, connection, compatibility and typing experience. The available sources do not establish those conditions or a shared test across five models. A model described as budget in one market or at one point in time may not be a budget buy elsewhere.
The PC Journal’s September 2026 comparison also names the Logitech MX Keys Mini, MX Keys S, Wave Keys and MX Mechanical Mini, but it compares manufacturer specifications rather than in-house testing and does not establish that these models meet a consistent budget ceiling. They therefore do not make a defensible ranked budget shortlist on this evidence. The PC Journal’s comparison.

Quick Recap
Choose by the features that affect daily use
- Number pad: Choose a compact no-numpad layout if desk space and portability matter most; look for a compact full-size layout if frequent number entry matters more.
- Device switching: Check how many devices the keyboard can pair with and how you switch between them. The K380s supports three and has dedicated buttons.
- Bluetooth or receiver: Verify the connection type and what is included. Do not assume a Bluetooth keyboard also supports a USB receiver.
- Operating system: Confirm support for your computer, tablet or phone, along with any app requirements for customization.
- Key shape and angle: Keycaps, spacing and stand adjustment affect comfort. A spec sheet cannot tell you whether a layout suits your hands.
- Power: Compare battery type and manufacturer-rated life, but do not treat ratings as a guarantee or as directly comparable test results.
- Price and stock: Set your budget in your local currency and check the current price and availability before buying; the sources cited here do not establish either.
