For the simplest first record player, choose an all-in-one model with internal speakers. Victrola’s Eastwood Signature is the compact option, while the larger Victrola Navigator adds CD, cassette, FM radio, USB and aux playback. If you can place separate speakers, Victrola Harmony offers a more upgradeable layout. Audio-Technica’s AT-LP60XBT is a useful Bluetooth alternative, but it has no built-in speakers and therefore needs wireless speakers, powered speakers, headphones or an audio system.
No cited source independently tests these models’ sound quality, so manufacturer phrases such as “high-fidelity” or “crisp, clear” should be treated as product descriptions rather than proof that one sounds better than the others.
Quick comparison
| Model | Speaker arrangement | Speeds | Other playback and connections | Manufacturer-listed size and weight | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Victrola Eastwood Signature (VTA-73-ESP) | Built-in stereo speakers | 33⅓, 45 and 78 RPM | Bluetooth input, Vinyl Stream Bluetooth output, RCA, ⅛-inch headphone output | 13.46 × 12.76 × 5.16 inches; 6.5 pounds | Compact all-in-one listening |
| Victrola Navigator (VTA-600B) | Built-in stereo speakers | 33⅓, 45 and 78 RPM | Bluetooth input, VinylStream output, CD, cassette, FM radio, USB, aux, RCA and headphone output | 18.2 × 13.2 × 10 inches; 16.5 pounds | A furniture-style music center with many formats |
| Victrola Harmony | Two separate included bookshelf speakers | 33⅓, 45 and 78 RPM | Bluetooth 5.2, Bluetooth output to speakers or headphones, RCA and 3.5 mm aux | Not stated in the cited product information | Beginners willing to allocate space to separate speakers |
| Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT | No built-in speakers | 33⅓ and 45 RPM | Bluetooth, switchable phono preamp and wired RCA output | Not stated in the cited product information | Anyone who already has, or plans to buy, an audio system |
The three Victrola examples list 78 RPM playback; the AT-LP60XBT lists only 33⅓ and 45 RPM. Check the speeds in your record collection before buying rather than assuming every turntable supports 78s.

Which built-in-speaker turntable should a beginner choose?
Choose Eastwood Signature for the smallest self-contained setup
The Victrola Eastwood Signature (model VTA-73-ESP) is the clearest match for a reader who wants to open the box, place one component on a surface and listen through speakers already inside it. Victrola describes a belt-driven player with custom-tuned built-in stereo speakers and anti-vibration technology. It includes an Audio-Technica AT-3600LA cartridge and a silicone slip mat.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Its listed footprint is 13.46 × 12.76 × 5.16 inches and its listed weight is 6.5 pounds, making it markedly easier to place or move than the Navigator. It plays 33⅓, 45 and 78 RPM records. For non-vinyl listening, it accepts audio from a phone or other smart device over Bluetooth. Its Vinyl Stream function sends the record’s audio to an external Bluetooth speaker, and the RCA and ⅛-inch headphone outputs provide wired alternatives.
Those are two different Bluetooth jobs: Bluetooth input sends phone audio into the Eastwood so its built-in speakers can play it; Bluetooth output sends a record out to another Bluetooth speaker. A phone cannot be used as evidence that the player can transmit to every type of wireless speaker, so check the receiving speaker’s compatibility before purchase.
Choose Navigator for a multi-format music center
The Victrola Navigator (model VTA-600B) is also a three-speed belt-driven turntable with built-in stereo speakers, Bluetooth input and VinylStream output. Its reason to exist is breadth: it adds a CD player, cassette deck, FM radio, USB and aux input alongside the turntable. RCA and headphone outputs are listed as well.

At 18.2 × 13.2 × 10 inches and 16.5 pounds, it is substantially larger and heavier than the Eastwood Signature. Plan a permanent shelf, cabinet or table rather than treating it as a portable player. The extra formats make it appropriate for a household that wants one central music unit, but a longer feature list does not establish better vinyl playback. The cited information contains no independent sound comparison between Navigator and Eastwood Signature.
Choose Harmony when separate speakers are acceptable
Victrola Harmony is a system rather than an internal-speaker turntable. The package includes the turntable, two matching bookshelf speakers and speaker cables. That arrangement takes more space and requires positioning the speakers, but the speakers are physically separate from the record mechanism.

Harmony lists 33⅓, 45 and 78 RPM speeds, Bluetooth 5.2, Bluetooth output to speakers or headphones, RCA and 3.5 mm aux connections, and an Audio-Technica ATN3600L moving-magnet cartridge. The box includes a dust cover, slipmat, 45 RPM adapter, power cable and manual. Victrola also lists a record-cleaning kit as an accessory.
Separate speakers create a different upgrade path from a one-box player: you can alter speaker placement or replace the speakers without replacing the turntable. That does not prove Harmony sounds better than Eastwood Signature or Navigator; no cited independent test establishes such a ranking. It simply gives you more control over how the system is arranged, consistent with general beginner guidance that separate speakers or a hi-fi system offer greater sound-system flexibility.
Choose AT-LP60XBT only if you will provide the speakers
Audio-Technica’s AT-LP60XBT is a fully automatic belt-drive turntable with Bluetooth, a switchable phono preamp and an included wired RCA output cable. It includes a replaceable ATN3600LC stylus, dust cover and 45 RPM adapter. The manufacturer’s India page does not list built-in speakers, so this is not an all-in-one choice: connect it to wireless speakers or headphones, powered speakers, or other audio equipment.
Because the cited product page is for India, verify regional availability, included accessories and the exact version before making a market-specific purchase. The model supports 33⅓ and 45 RPM, not the 78 RPM speed listed by the three Victrola examples.
How to decide: the five questions that matter
1. Do you need speakers inside the player?
- Select Eastwood Signature or Navigator when the player must make sound without another speaker component.
- Select Harmony when two separate included bookshelf speakers are acceptable.
- Select AT-LP60XBT only when you already have, or are prepared to buy, a compatible audio path.
2. Which formats will you actually use?
For vinyl alone, the extra CD, cassette, radio and USB functions of Navigator may be unnecessary. If you want one cabinet to handle several older and newer sources, those additions are its defining advantage. Eastwood Signature and Harmony concentrate on turntable use while still offering Bluetooth and auxiliary connections. AT-LP60XBT is the narrowest format choice and omits 78 RPM playback in the listed specifications.

- Sleek 7-in-1 USB-C Hub: Features an HDMI port, two USB-A 3.0 ports, and a USB-C data port, each providing 5Gbps transfer speeds. It also includes a USB-C PD input port for charging up to 100W and dual SD and TF card slots, all in a compact design.
- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.
- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
3. Where will the system live?
Measure the available surface before ordering. Eastwood Signature’s listed dimensions are 13.46 × 12.76 × 5.16 inches. Navigator’s are 18.2 × 13.2 × 10 inches, with a listed weight of 16.5 pounds. Leave room to lift the dust cover, place a record and reach the controls. Harmony also needs space for the turntable and two speakers, while the cited information does not state its dimensions.
4. What connection do your speakers use?
Built-in speakers remove the first connection decision. With an external system, identify whether you will use Bluetooth, RCA, a 3.5 mm aux connection, headphones or powered speakers. The AT-LP60XBT has a switchable phono preamp, so its RCA output can be used in the appropriate line-level or phono configuration for the equipment connected to it. Confirm the receiving device’s input type before plugging in.
5. Do you want an upgrade path?
An internal-speaker unit minimizes components and setup. Harmony’s separate speakers let you change speaker placement or consider different speakers later. A separate hi-fi system can provide more control, but it also adds cost, cables and setup decisions. The cited editorial guidance supports that flexibility trade-off; it does not identify a tested winner among these four models.
What “Bluetooth” means on a turntable
Bluetooth labeling is easy to misread because a player may perform two unrelated roles.
| Function | Signal direction | Example from these models | What you need |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bluetooth input (receiver) | Phone or tablet → turntable | Eastwood Signature, Navigator and Harmony list Bluetooth input | A phone or other smart device and a player that can receive it |
| Bluetooth output (transmitter) | Turntable record → wireless speaker or headphones | Eastwood Signature lists Vinyl Stream; Navigator lists VinylStream; Harmony lists Bluetooth output | A compatible Bluetooth speaker or headphones set to receive audio |
| Wired output | Turntable → cable → audio equipment | Eastwood Signature RCA and headphone outputs; Navigator RCA and headphone outputs; Harmony RCA and 3.5 mm aux; AT-LP60XBT RCA | The correct cable and an input that accepts it |
A player that receives phone audio is not automatically able to transmit records to a Bluetooth speaker. Read the specification for “output,” “transmitter,” “Vinyl Stream” or an equivalent term, and pair the external device according to its instructions.

Beginner setup: from box to first record
- Choose a stable surface. Use a level, sturdy table or shelf with enough room for the turntable, an opened dust cover and the record. For Navigator, account for the 18.2 × 13.2 × 10-inch listed size and 16.5-pound weight. For Harmony, reserve positions for both bookshelf speakers.
- Keep the speaker arrangement in mind. With Eastwood Signature or Navigator, the internal speakers are ready to use. With Harmony, connect the supplied speaker cables to the matching speaker terminals and place the speakers where the cables reach without being pulled tight.
- Connect power and inspect the accessories. Confirm that the dust cover, slipmat, 45 RPM adapter and the model-specific cartridge or stylus are present. Harmony’s listed package includes those items plus a power cable and manual; Eastwood Signature lists an Audio-Technica AT-3600LA cartridge and silicone slip mat; AT-LP60XBT lists a dust cover, 45 RPM adapter and ATN3600LC stylus.
- Select the correct speed. Set 33⅓, 45 or 78 RPM to match the record. The AT-LP60XBT provides only 33⅓ and 45 RPM. Do not choose a speed based on the record’s size alone.
- Place the record and lower the stylus using the player’s controls. Keep fingers away from the stylus tip and record surface. Use the supplied 45 RPM adapter for records that require the larger center opening.
- For wired external audio, choose the right path. Connect RCA or 3.5 mm output to an input designed for that connector. With AT-LP60XBT, set the switchable phono preamp to match the connected equipment’s expected signal type, following the turntable and audio-system manuals.
- For Bluetooth output, pair the receiving device. Put the compatible speaker or headphones into pairing mode, select the turntable’s Bluetooth output function, and confirm that the receiver reports a connection. For Bluetooth input, pair the phone or tablet to the turntable instead; this sends phone audio into the player.
- Start at a moderate volume. Confirm that the record plays cleanly before increasing the level. If there is no sound, use the troubleshooting checks below rather than repeatedly changing speed or pressing controls at random.
Replacement parts and care
Use model-specific styluses and belts
Do not assume that a stylus or belt fits every turntable that looks similar. Harmony identifies the ATN3600L as its moving-magnet cartridge and replacement stylus. The AT-LP60XBT documentation identifies a separately sold ATN3600L stylus and an AT-LP60X-exclusive replacement belt. Confirm the exact model and part number with the seller and the turntable documentation before ordering.
Keep the playing surface protected
Use the supplied slipmat and dust cover where provided. Eastwood Signature lists a silicone slip mat; Harmony lists a slipmat and dust cover; AT-LP60XBT lists a dust cover. Keep the stylus and records free of visible debris, and use the manufacturer’s instructions for any cleaning accessory. Harmony’s product information lists a record-cleaning kit as an accessory, not as proof that a particular cleaning method is required.

The record spins but there is no sound
- On an internal-speaker model, verify that power is on, the volume is raised and the stylus has been lowered onto the record.
- With Harmony, check both speaker cables and confirm that the speakers are connected to the intended terminals.
- With AT-LP60XBT, confirm that a wireless receiver, powered speaker, headphones or audio system is connected; the turntable does not contain speakers.
- For RCA or aux listening, select the corresponding input on the external equipment and check that the cable is fully seated.
The phone plays through the player, but the record will not play through a Bluetooth speaker
This usually indicates that you used Bluetooth input rather than Bluetooth output. Phone-to-player playback and record-to-speaker playback are separate functions. Select the model’s Vinyl Stream, VinylStream or Bluetooth-output function and pair the external receiver, if that model lists output capability.
The record sounds too fast or too slow
Check the selected speed first. A 33⅓, 45 or 78 RPM record must be played at its matching setting. Remember that AT-LP60XBT does not list 78 RPM support.

The turntable skips
Place the unit on a stable, level surface, verify that the stylus is clean and undamaged, and make sure the record is seated correctly on the slipmat. If skipping continues, stop playback and consult the model’s manual rather than forcing the arm or changing parts without confirming compatibility.

A replacement stylus or belt does not fit
Recheck the complete model name and the part designation. The AT-LP60XBT manual specifies an ATN3600L stylus and an AT-LP60X-exclusive replacement belt; Harmony’s listed cartridge and stylus designation is ATN3600L. Similar names do not guarantee interchangeability.
Bottom-line buying advice
Buy Eastwood Signature when a compact, three-speed all-in-one is the priority. Buy Navigator when CD, cassette, FM radio, USB and aux are worth accepting a larger, heavier cabinet. Choose Harmony when separate bookshelf speakers fit your room and you want the system’s components physically separated. Choose AT-LP60XBT when Bluetooth or wired integration with equipment you already own matters more than built-in speakers, and when 33⅓ and 45 RPM cover your collection.
Whichever route you take, decide the speaker arrangement, record speeds, available surface and connection direction before ordering. Those four checks prevent the most common beginner mismatch: buying a player that cannot support the records or audio equipment you intended to use.
