How to find and join a server
- Launch Arma Reforger and open the multiplayer server browser. Use the in-game browser as the final authority for whether an entry is joinable.
- Search the exact community name. For Exodus, search
EXD. For other communities, use the spelling shown by the live listing rather than an old nickname. - Filter by region and platform. Narrow the list to a region that should provide acceptable latency and confirm that your PC, PlayStation, or Xbox client is accepted.
- Read the live row. Check mode, map, current population, queue, and any visible first-/third-person or server-rule indicators.
- Open the server details. Review the required add-ons and their total download size before committing to a large transfer.
- Join and allow the Workshop downloads. Reforger can obtain required mods when you join a server that needs them; you do not normally have to hunt down each add-on manually.
- Wait for downloads and version checks to finish. Do not cancel an update midway if you intend to return to that server; an incomplete or outdated dependency can prevent connection.
- Reconnect after a failed attempt. If the server updated while you were downloading, leave the browser, refresh the listing, and accept the newly presented versions.
How Reforger mod downloads work
Bohemia Interactive’s Workshop is the official repository for Reforger add-ons. The documented workflow is server-led: when a selected server requires mods, the game can obtain them as part of joining. What can change after you first join?

Troubleshooting common join problems
The server does not appear
Refresh the browser, clear overly narrow filters, and search the exact name again. A server may be offline, full, region-filtered, or temporarily restarting after an update. If an old bookmark no longer works, use the live directory or in-game search to locate the current entry.
The game says a mod is missing or outdated
Return to the server details and let the game synchronize the required Workshop versions. If the error persists, cancel the join, restart the browser, and try again so the client reads the server’s current dependency list. Do not assume that manually keeping an old copy is sufficient after a server-side update.
The download is too large

Compare a nearby region, leave and rejoin after a map rotation, and test another community. Population does not measure latency, server load, or network routing. Keep the comparison controlled by changing one variable at a time.
You joined but do not understand the rules
Read the community’s displayed rules and any linked announcements before spawning into a serious operation. Ask in the designated channel rather than interrupting an organized event. If the rules are unclear or enforcement is hostile, another server in the live browser may be a better fit.
How to reassess a server over time
Because rankings decay quickly, revisit your choice after major game or mod updates. Recheck the map rotation, required add-ons, player activity, queue behavior, region, and platform policy.
