If you need one device that measures CO₂, temperature and relative humidity, the Qingping CO₂ & Temp & RH Monitor is the closest documented alternative. It uses a Sensirion NDIR CO₂ sensor and reports all three measurements. Aranet4 HOME adds an e-ink display, ambient pressure, app trends and alerts. Airthings View Plus is the broader air-quality choice, adding radon, PM2.5 and VOCs. Qingping Air Monitor Lite is a rechargeable, Wi-Fi-connected option that also measures PM2.5 and PM10.
There is an important naming problem behind this comparison: Xiaomi’s official Smart Temperature and Humidity Monitor 3 (MJWSD05MMC) and Monitor 2 specifications list temperature and humidity, but not CO₂. Before replacing a Xiaomi unit, check its exact model and confirm that CO₂ is genuinely measured rather than assuming a temperature-and-humidity monitor includes it.
Confirm what your Xiaomi device actually measures
The official Xiaomi Smart Temperature and Humidity Monitor 3 is model MJWSD05MMC. Its published specifications list Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, a CR2450 battery, a temperature range of 0–60°C, a humidity range of 0–99% RH, 0.1°C temperature display resolution and 1% RH humidity display resolution. Those specifications do not list a CO₂ sensor or a CO₂ measurement range.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsXiaomi’s official Monitor 3 support material describes history and automation in Xiaomi Home through a Bluetooth Mesh gateway. It also states that the unit is not waterproof. The older Mi Temperature and Humidity Monitor 2, model LYWSD03MMC, uses Bluetooth 4.2 BLE and a CR2032 battery and likewise lists only temperature and humidity. These products can be useful environmental sensors, but their published specifications do not establish CO₂ measurement.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
A secondary search result referred to a newer Mijia Smart Temperature and Humidity Meter 3 Pro, but the official pages reviewed for this comparison do not confirm its specifications or availability. Do not treat that result as proof that the Monitor 3 (MJWSD05MMC) measures CO₂. Match the model number, packaging and official specification page before choosing a replacement.
What a genuine CO₂, temperature and humidity alternative must provide
Temperature and humidity are inexpensive to sense, so many small displays report those two values only. CO₂ requires a different sensing system. The products below explicitly identify CO₂ measurement; the Xiaomi models above do not.
- A stated CO₂ sensor: Qingping and Aranet identify nondispersive infrared (NDIR) sensing. Airthings also identifies an NDIR CO₂ sensor. NDIR is the relevant sensor method to look for when comparing indoor-air monitors.
- A published range and conditions: A range is not the same as accuracy. Check the conditions attached to any accuracy claim, including temperature, humidity, calibration assumptions and whether the figure is a manufacturer specification.
- A way to read or retrieve data: An integrated display is useful when you want an immediate reading. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and an app are more useful for history, alerts or automation, but they add pairing and regional-compatibility requirements.
- A suitable power arrangement: Coin-cell devices can run for a long time but may not support continuous radio communication. Rechargeable or mains-powered monitors are more practical when you want frequent app updates.
- Platform compatibility: A Bluetooth device may require a gateway for remote access. App support can also vary by country or server region. Never infer HomeKit or another smart-home platform’s support from the presence of Bluetooth alone.

| Device | Measurements | Notable features | Power and connectivity | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Qingping CO₂ & Temp & RH Monitor | CO₂, temperature and humidity | Single-device match; manufacturer specifies a Swiss-made Sensirion NDIR CO₂ sensor | Refer to the current regional product listing for the exact connectivity and power details | Check current regional compatibility and stock before purchase |
| Aranet4 HOME | CO₂, temperature, humidity and ambient pressure | Real-time readings, e-ink screen, app trends and alerts | Battery powered, according to the manufacturer | Published material here establishes core functions, not current price or local availability |
| Airthings View Plus | Radon, PM2.5, CO₂, VOCs, humidity, temperature and pressure | Broad indoor-air coverage; NDIR CO₂ sensor | Use the current manufacturer specification for installation and connectivity details | Its extra sensors may be unnecessary if you only need three measurements; the technical page dated April 13, 2026 lists a 400–5000 ppm CO₂ range with stated accuracy conditions |
| Qingping Air Monitor Lite | PM2.5, PM10, CO₂, temperature and humidity | Compact rechargeable monitor with a wider pollutant set | Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, 2,000 mAh battery and USB-C input | The manufacturer says Mi Home availability can depend on the app’s selected server region |
These are manufacturer-published capabilities, not results from an independent side-by-side test. Their ranges and accuracy statements were not produced under one common test protocol, so a number from one product should not be presented as directly equivalent to a number from another.
Qingping CO₂ & Temp & RH Monitor: the closest direct replacement
What it measures
The Qingping CO₂ & Temp & RH Monitor is the most straightforward substitute when the requirement is exactly one instrument for CO₂, temperature and relative humidity. Qingping says it uses a Swiss-made Sensirion NDIR CO₂ sensor and explicitly lists all three measurements. That makes it a closer functional match than a Xiaomi temperature-and-humidity monitor that lacks a published CO₂ specification.

Who should choose it
- Choose it when you want the smallest conceptual change from a three-value Xiaomi-style display: one enclosure, one placement point and three readings.
- Choose it when identifying the CO₂ sensing method matters and you prefer an explicitly named NDIR sensor.
- Choose it when you do not need radon, particulate or VOC measurements and want to avoid paying for sensors unrelated to your decision.
Checks before buying
The available manufacturer material establishes the sensor and measured variables but does not establish a universal price, retailer inventory or country-by-country compatibility. Confirm the current product page for your region, the included power arrangement, app support and any gateway requirement before ordering. Do not assume that another Qingping model has identical radio support or Mi Home behavior.
Aranet4 HOME: best for a visible reading and app alerts
What it adds
Aranet describes Aranet4 HOME as a real-time monitor for CO₂, temperature, humidity and ambient pressure. It uses NDIR CO₂ sensing, has an e-ink display and provides app trends and alerts. The e-ink screen is useful in a room where you want to glance at the reading without opening a phone app, while trends can show whether ventilation changes the CO₂ pattern over time.
When its design makes sense
- Battery operation: The manufacturer describes it as battery powered, which suits a desk, bedroom or meeting room where a permanent USB cable would be inconvenient.
- Local visibility: The e-ink display keeps the current values available at the device rather than making the phone the only interface.
- Trend-based decisions: App history and alerts are useful if you want to notice recurring rises during meetings, sleep or closed-window periods.
Limitations to keep in mind
The cited product material confirms the core measurements and interface features, but it does not establish a current local price, stock position or warranty term. Treat those as region-specific checks. Also verify how long the batteries last in your chosen reporting mode; battery-powered operation is a stated design characteristic, not a promise of a particular runtime under every alert and sampling setting.

Seven monitored factors
Airthings lists seven factors for View Plus: radon, PM2.5, CO₂, VOCs, humidity, temperature and pressure. It identifies an NDIR CO₂ sensor. This is the most comprehensive option in this group when the reason for replacing a basic temperature-and-humidity monitor is concern about several indoor-air pollutants rather than CO₂ alone.

Published CO₂ range and conditions
Airthings’ technical specifications page, dated April 13, 2026, lists a CO₂ measurement range of 400–5,000 ppm and provides accuracy conditions alongside that specification. Read those conditions with the range: they define how the manufacturer’s accuracy statement should be interpreted. A range does not mean the monitor is equally accurate at every temperature, humidity level or concentration.
Trade-offs
- Extra radon, PM2.5 and VOC readings can help investigate a broader indoor-air problem, but they add complexity if your only question is whether a room needs ventilation.
- Because View Plus covers more variables, compare its installation, power and app requirements with your intended location rather than assuming it behaves like a simple coin-cell sensor.
- The published specifications establish capabilities, not independent laboratory performance, retailer stock or a guaranteed price in your country.
Qingping Air Monitor Lite: rechargeable connectivity and particulate readings
Measurements and hardware
The Qingping Air Monitor Lite measures PM2.5, PM10, CO₂, temperature and humidity. The manufacturer lists Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, a 2,000 mAh battery and USB-C power input. That combination makes it a practical candidate when particulate matter is as important as CO₂ and you want a rechargeable device rather than a disposable-cell monitor.
Regional Mi Home behavior
Qingping warns that Mi Home support can depend on the server region selected in the app. A device that appears in one region may be absent or offer fewer integrations in another. Set your intended Mi Home region before purchasing, and verify that the exact model is listed there. This is a compatibility qualification from the manufacturer, not a guarantee that every regional combination will work.
Who should skip it
If you need only CO₂, temperature and humidity, the additional PM2.5 and PM10 functions may not justify choosing a larger rechargeable monitor. Conversely, if you expect to investigate cooking particles, smoke or filtration performance, those extra measurements give the Air Monitor Lite a clearer purpose than a three-sensor-only device.

Accuracy, calibration and placement: how to read the specifications
Do not compare unlike accuracy claims
The products publish different ranges, environmental assumptions and calibration information. A manufacturer’s “accuracy” figure may apply only within a stated temperature and humidity band, after a specified warm-up or calibration process, or at particular CO₂ concentrations. Since no independent side-by-side test is documented here, the safest comparison is whether each product clearly identifies CO₂ sensing and publishes the conditions for its figures—not which unsupported number appears largest.
Place the monitor where the decision occurs
Put the sensor in the occupied part of the room, away from direct breath, open windows, cooktops, supply vents and direct sunlight. A monitor beside a person’s face can report a personal plume rather than room air; one directly under an air vent can overstate the effect of ventilation. Keep the location consistent when comparing trends before and after opening windows or changing room use.
Use trends rather than one isolated value
CO₂ changes with occupancy and ventilation. A single reading can be distorted by placement or a recently opened door, while a repeated rise during the same activity is more useful for deciding whether ventilation changes are working. Use the app history where available, or record readings at consistent times if the device has no history feature.

Do not assume cross-platform support. Xiaomi’s own Monitor 3 history and automation features require a Bluetooth Mesh gateway. Qingping states that Mi Home support for Air Monitor Lite can vary by server region. The cited Aranet and Airthings material establishes their measurement and interface features but does not prove HomeKit, Xiaomi Home or any other specific smart-home integration for every edition and country.
Best Value
- 5-in-1 Connectivity: Equipped with a 4K HDMI port, a 5 Gbps USB-C data port, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a USB C 100W PD-IN port. Note: The USB C 100W PD-IN port supports only charging and does not support data transfer devices such as headphones or speakers.
- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
Before buying, answer these questions for the exact model and region:
- Is the device listed in the app or hub you already use?
- Does it connect directly, or does it require a gateway that stays powered and within range?
- Are history and alerts available without a subscription or cloud account?
- Does changing the app’s country or server remove the device from discovery?
- Can the device continue displaying readings locally if the Wi-Fi service is unavailable?
If a platform integration is essential, require an official compatibility statement for that platform. Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi or an app logo alone is not evidence of native support.
How to choose among the four candidates
Choose by the minimum measurement set
- Exactly CO₂, temperature and humidity: Start with Qingping CO₂ & Temp & RH Monitor.
- Those three plus a local display and app alerts: Consider Aranet4 HOME.
- Those three plus radon, PM2.5, VOCs and pressure: Consider Airthings View Plus.
- Those three plus PM2.5 and PM10, with rechargeable Wi-Fi hardware: Consider Qingping Air Monitor Lite.
Then filter by the room and power source
For a frequently moved monitor, battery or rechargeable operation is convenient. For a fixed installation with continuous app access, confirm how the chosen model is powered and whether radio use changes runtime. For a wall or shelf location where people need an immediate reading, prioritize a built-in display; for remote monitoring, prioritize documented history, alerts and the required network or gateway.

Finally verify regional details
Manufacturer specifications do not guarantee local stock, price, retailer support or app availability. Check the current listing for your country, the exact model name, the supported server region and the return policy. These checks are especially important for the two Qingping products because regional compatibility is explicitly qualified for at least one model.
Common mistakes when replacing a Xiaomi sensor
- Buying another temperature-and-humidity sensor: Confirm that “CO₂” appears in the specifications, not merely in a retailer’s category title.
- Assuming the Monitor 3 measures CO₂: Its official published specifications identify temperature and humidity only.
- Treating a range as an accuracy guarantee: Read the environmental and calibration conditions attached to the accuracy statement.
- Ignoring the gateway: A Bluetooth Mesh or other bridge may be necessary for remote history and automation.
- Assuming every region has the same app catalog: Qingping specifically notes that Mi Home support can depend on the selected server.
- Choosing the broadest sensor set automatically: Radon, particles and VOCs are valuable only if they answer a problem you actually need to investigate.
- Comparing manufacturer numbers as laboratory results: No independent side-by-side measurement is established for these products.
Verdict
For a direct, documented three-measurement replacement, choose the Qingping CO₂ & Temp & RH Monitor and verify the current regional listing. Choose Aranet4 HOME if an e-ink display, battery operation, trends and alerts are more important than extra pollutants. Choose Airthings View Plus when radon, PM2.5 and VOC monitoring justify a broader air-quality system. Choose Qingping Air Monitor Lite when PM2.5 and PM10, rechargeable power and Wi-Fi are part of the requirement. In every case, confirm the exact Xiaomi model first: the official Monitor 3 and Monitor 2 pages establish temperature and humidity sensing, not CO₂.
