The best alternative depends on the Galaxy A37 price you can actually get today. Choose the Google Pixel 10a for a smaller phone, wireless charging and generally stronger camera processing; the Galaxy A57 5G for a faster, more premium Samsung step-up; the Moto G Stylus (2026) for its integrated stylus and unusually fast charging; or a refurbished Galaxy S24 only when its condition, battery and warranty are clearly better value than a new A37. There is no universal winner because the A37 discount, storage tier, taxes, trade-in and required plan vary by market.
Use the comparisons below as a buying framework, then check same-day prices for the same storage configuration. The dollar figures quoted for alternatives come from a US-focused Android Authority comparison published June 25, 2026; they are historical reference points, not current offers or worldwide prices.
What you are comparing against: the Galaxy A37 baseline
Samsung’s US configurations list the Galaxy A37 with either 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage or 8GB of RAM and 256GB. Samsung’s comparison also indicates that the phone has no microSD card slot, so storage cannot be expanded later. Both configurations use a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 5,000mAh battery, up to 45W wired charging and a 50MP main camera.
Those specifications make the A37 particularly attractive when your discount puts the 256GB model near the price of rivals’ 128GB phones. They also define the trade-offs: it is a large handset, its charging is wired only, and the value of its camera depends heavily on image processing rather than the megapixel count alone. Samsung’s description of the A-series display as vibrant and smooth is manufacturer promotional language, not an independent image-quality test.

Check the discount before choosing an alternative
The A37’s US buying page confirms the two storage options but did not expose a stable purchase price in the information available for this guide. A sale can be an instant reduction, a trade-in credit, a carrier promotion requiring a plan, or a price attached to a particular storage tier. Treat each as a different deal.
- Record the exact A37 offer. Note the final checkout price, storage, tax, shipping, activation or plan requirement, trade-in value and whether the phone is new and unlocked.
- Match storage tiers. Compare 128GB with 128GB and 256GB with 256GB unless you have confirmed that cloud storage or removable storage meets your needs.
- Calculate the real cost. Include required service payments, accessories, financing interest, taxes and the value of a trade-in you would have received elsewhere.
- Check local support. Confirm that the model number, 5G bands, charger compatibility, warranty and update policy apply in your country.
- Set a price-gap limit. A more expensive phone is worthwhile only if its specific advantage—camera, compact size, stylus, performance or condition—matters to you.
| Alternative | Best fit | Meaningful advantage over A37 | Main compromise | Price reference and qualification |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Pixel 10a | Compact phone and wireless-charging buyers | 6.3-inch size, wireless charging and a camera Android Authority judged better | Smaller screen and 30W wired charging versus A37’s 45W | $499.99 MSRP; Android Authority’s June 2026 US comparison said it was about $50 above the A37 at that time. Not a current or global quote. |
| Samsung Galaxy A57 5G | Samsung users who want a higher tier | Super AMOLED Plus, 8GB RAM options, 12MP ultrawide, Wi-Fi 6GHz and Bluetooth 6 | Higher purchase price; both phones lack microSD expansion | Android Authority reported $550 for A57 and $450 for A37 in June 2026, a $100 article-time gap. Prices are dated. |
| Motorola Moto G Stylus (2026) | People who will use a built-in pen | Active stylus with palm rejection, 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging | Android Authority reported that A37 has the faster, newer processor and stronger update policy | $500 in Android Authority’s article-time US pricing. Confirm the regional SKU and current offer. |
| Refurbished Samsung Galaxy S24 | Buyers prioritizing flagship display and performance per dollar | Higher peak brightness and adaptive refresh in the cited comparison | Used condition, possible battery wear, smaller battery and uncertain seller support | About $350–$400 on Amazon listings observed by the author at article time in 2026; not a current market statistic. |
Google Pixel 10a: the compact, camera-focused alternative
Why it makes sense
The Pixel 10a is the clearest choice when the A37’s 6.7-inch body feels excessive. Its 6.3-inch display is easier to use one-handed and takes less space in a pocket. It also adds wireless charging, a feature the A37 does not provide. Android Authority’s writer judged the Pixel’s camera preferable, but that is editorial assessment rather than a standardized laboratory result; treat it as a preference signal, not a guaranteed ranking for every scene.
Eight gigabytes of RAM are listed for the Pixel 10a in the cited comparison. That can appeal to buyers who keep many apps open, although RAM capacity alone does not establish faster performance. Check the exact storage option available in your market before comparing it with the A37’s 128GB or 256GB versions.
What you give up
The Pixel’s wired charging is rated at 30W in the comparison, versus up to 45W for the A37. If you routinely top up for a few minutes before leaving home, that difference may matter more than wireless charging. You also lose the A37’s larger viewing area, which is useful for reading, navigation and video.

How to decide at checkout
Choose the Pixel 10a when its local price premium is modest and you value a smaller chassis, wireless charging and Google’s camera processing. Stay with the A37 when the discount makes the 256GB Samsung substantially cheaper, when a large display is central to your use, or when 45W wired charging is more useful than a charging pad.
Samsung Galaxy A57 5G: the closest in-family upgrade
Hardware differences that matter
The A57 is the most straightforward alternative for someone who already prefers Samsung’s software and service ecosystem. Samsung’s US comparison lists a Super AMOLED Plus panel on the A57, compared with the A37’s Super AMOLED panel. Both are listed with the same display size, 5,000mAh battery and up to 45W charging, so the A57 is not an upgrade in every headline specification.
The meaningful camera change is the 12MP ultrawide on the A57 versus 8MP on the A37. The A57 also has configurations with 8GB of RAM, Wi-Fi support in the 6GHz band and Bluetooth 6; the A37 comparison lists Bluetooth 5.1. Both phones lack external memory-card support, making the storage tier you buy permanent.
Price-gap logic
Android Authority’s June 25, 2026 US article described the A57 at $550 and the A37 at $450, framing the $100 difference as a choice between saving money and receiving a faster device and more premium construction. Those were article-time prices, not live quotes. Recalculate the gap with your retailer’s current discount, and compare like-for-like storage and warranty.

A small gap can justify the A57 if you frequently use the ultrawide camera, need 8GB of RAM, have a compatible 6GHz Wi-Fi network or expect to keep the phone for several years. If the difference is large, the A37 retains the same battery capacity, charging ceiling and 120Hz display experience, so paying more may produce little benefit for basic messaging, streaming and browsing.
Motorola Moto G Stylus (2026): choose the feature, not the spec sheet
What sets it apart
The Moto G Stylus (2026) includes an active built-in stylus with palm rejection. That is a functional difference rather than a minor specification: you can annotate screenshots, sign or mark up documents, sketch and navigate with a pen that stores inside the phone. If you will not use a stylus at least weekly, the feature should not by itself justify a higher price.
Android Authority’s comparison also lists 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging for the Motorola. Those figures exceed the A37’s 45W wired maximum and add a wireless option that Samsung lacks. Actual charging speed depends on the correct charger, cable, temperature and regional model.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesPerformance and support trade-offs
The same source reports that the A37 uses a faster, more modern processor and has a stronger update policy than the Moto G Stylus (2026). This is a source-reported assessment, not an independent benchmark supplied here. Buyers who keep phones for years, run demanding games or place a high value on security-update longevity should therefore investigate the exact regional support schedule before choosing the Motorola.

Android Authority listed a $500 article-time price in the US. Do not assume that number applies to your country or to every storage configuration. Verify the model number, 5G compatibility, pen inclusion, charger availability and warranty at the retailer.
Refurbished Galaxy S24: flagship hardware with used-device risk
Why it can be compelling
A refurbished Galaxy S24 can move the comparison from mid-range versus mid-range to older flagship versus new mid-range. Android Authority’s author reported seeing Amazon offers around $350–$400 at the time of writing. The cited comparison gives the S24 higher peak brightness and adaptive refresh, qualities that can improve outdoor readability and make scrolling feel more responsive in changing conditions.
At a sufficiently low current price, an S24 may also deliver stronger peak performance and a more compact design than the A37. Those benefits are balanced by the A37’s newer release, 1,000mAh larger battery, up-to-45W charging and larger display.
Inspect the listing, not just the model name
- Condition grade: “Excellent” and “good” can permit different levels of scratches or replacement parts.
- Battery: ask whether a minimum health percentage is guaranteed and whether the battery is original.
- Seller and warranty: identify who handles defects, how long coverage lasts and whether repairs use approved parts.
- Return window: make sure you can test the screen, cameras, speakers, charging port, biometrics and cellular connectivity before the deadline.
- Software support: compare the S24’s remaining support period with the A37’s policy in your market; a refurbished phone has already used part of its support life.
- Network and region: confirm that the exact model is unlocked and supports your carrier’s bands and services.
The reported $350–$400 range is an observation of listings, not a representative market statistic and not a current quote. Prices and refurbishment grades change quickly, so reject any deal that cannot document condition, battery expectations and returns.

Compare the phones by the use case that drives your decision
Screen size and handling
The A37’s 6.7-inch 120Hz panel favors video, reading and split-screen tasks. The Pixel 10a’s 6.3-inch display and the S24’s smaller flagship form are easier to handle. The A57 remains in the large-screen Samsung category. Pick by hand comfort and viewing habits before considering minor panel-label differences.
Cameras
Use the A37’s 50MP main camera as a starting point, not a guarantee of image quality. The Pixel 10a is the source-reported choice for buyers who prioritize processing. The A57’s 12MP ultrawide is more versatile on paper than the A37’s 8MP ultrawide. The S24’s appeal is flagship hardware and display behavior rather than simply megapixel count. No standardized camera test is established by the cited material, so look for sample photos from your market’s exact models if camera choice is decisive.
Charging
The A37 and A57 both reach up to 45W wired charging. Pixel 10a is listed at 30W wired, while Moto G Stylus (2026) is listed at 68W wired plus 15W wireless. The S24 comparison favors the A37 for charging speed. Remember that advertised maxima require compatible accessories and conditions; a charger may not be included in every box.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Performance and longevity
The cited comparison favors A37 over Moto G Stylus (2026) for processor modernity and update policy. A57 is described as faster than A37, while the refurbished S24 offers older flagship positioning. These are directional source evaluations, not benchmark results. Confirm the manufacturer’s update commitments and your region’s model before treating longevity as a deciding factor.
Storage and connectivity
Because neither A37 nor A57 supports a microSD card in Samsung’s comparison, buy enough internal storage at the outset. The A37’s US choices are 128GB and 256GB; verify what each alternative offers locally. A57 adds 6GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 6 in the cited Samsung table, whereas A37 is listed with Bluetooth 5.1.
Quick Recap
A practical decision tree
- Is the A37 discount at least as good as the best same-storage alternative? If yes, keep the A37 unless a specific feature below changes the decision.
- Do you need a compact phone or wireless charging? Compare the Pixel 10a’s current price and support terms.
- Do you want a Samsung with stronger hardware? Calculate the live A57 premium; choose it only if the Super AMOLED Plus panel, ultrawide, RAM or connectivity justify that amount.
- Will you use an integrated pen? If yes, check the Moto G Stylus (2026) regional model, support policy and charger; if no, disregard its stylus premium.
- Are you comfortable buying used? Consider the S24 only with documented battery condition, warranty, return rights and an acceptable remaining update period.
Common mistakes that make a “deal” poor value
- Comparing a discounted 128GB A37 with a 256GB rival without adjusting for capacity.
- Counting a carrier bill credit as an immediate discount when it requires months of service.
- Assuming an article-time US price applies in another country or after a later promotion ends.
- Buying a refurbished S24 from a listing that omits battery health, grade or return terms.
- Paying for a stylus, wireless charging or an ultrawide camera that you will not use.
- Ignoring model-number differences that affect 5G bands, dual-SIM support, chargers or warranty.
- Treating a publisher’s camera or performance judgment as a standardized benchmark.
Bottom-line recommendations by buyer
- Choose Galaxy A37: when your local discount is substantial, you want the 6.7-inch display and 45W charging, and the storage tier matches your needs.
- Choose Pixel 10a: when compact size, wireless charging and camera processing matter more than screen area and faster wired charging.
- Choose Galaxy A57 5G: when the live price gap is reasonable and you will benefit from its Super AMOLED Plus panel, 12MP ultrawide, 8GB RAM options or newer connectivity.
- Choose Moto G Stylus (2026): when the integrated pen is central to your workflow and its regional support and price are acceptable.
- Choose refurbished Galaxy S24: when a reputable seller offers a clearly graded, healthy-battery unit with warranty and returns at a meaningful discount to the new A37.
