Start with Hush, Omen, Sova, Killjoy and KAY/O. Omen blocks the sightlines Hush needs to make first contact, Sova identifies a target before the dash, KAY/O suppresses defensive utility and adds a flash, and Killjoy secures the flank and post-plant. Swap KAY/O for Fade when layered tracking is more valuable than suppression.
Hush was revealed on October 18, 2026, and is scheduled to release on October 27, 2026, with Season 26 Act VI planned after the VCT 2026 season. She is therefore an unreleased, launch-day theorycraft rather than an agent with a settled ranked or professional meta.
What Hush needs from a team
Hush is VALORANT’s ninth Duelist, built around creating space rather than waiting for a long, safe fight. Her revealed kit includes a unique dash, a redirectable flash, displacement utility and an ultimate that lifts every player in an area. Those tools can force defenders out of comfortable positions, but they also make Hush vulnerable during the instant between committing to an entry and receiving help.

- Safe first contact: remove or block the angles that can stop the dash.
- Information before commitment: give Hush a real target and a timing window instead of asking her to guess.
- Defensive-utility control: prevent traps, stall tools and denial abilities from isolating her.
- Value after mobility is spent: hold the flank, convert the plant and protect the post-plant.
The usual five-agent structure maps neatly to those jobs: Duelist, Controller, Initiator, Sentinel and a second support or flex slot. Hush occupies the space-making Duelist slot, so the other four players should make her first contact repeatable rather than adding another independent entry plan.
| Composition question | What to look for | Best fits |
|---|---|---|
| Can Hush reach the first defender safely? | Reliable smokes, walls, flashes or displacement that clear the approach | Omen, Harbor, KAY/O, Breach |
| Does the team know where to dash? | Recon, trail, tether or other pre-entry information | Sova, Fade |
| Can defenders use their utility first? | Suppression, flash pressure or forced repositioning | KAY/O, Hush’s displacement, coordinated Omen utility |
| What remains after Hush enters? | Flank alarms, turret or trap coverage, and post-plant denial | Killjoy, Cypher |
The default coordinated composition
Hush / Omen / Sova / Killjoy / KAY/O is the most complete launch-day shell. It has one clear entry, one flexible smoke controller, two forms of information or utility denial, and a Sentinel who can continue contributing after Hush has used her mobility.
Omen: the default Controller
Omen’s versatile smokes are the cleanest way to create a protected approach for Hush. Place the first smoke to remove the defender’s most dangerous long sightline, then use the second to split the site or cover the angle that remains after Hush’s dash. Omen can also support an aggressive take without committing the entire team to a one-direction hit, which is why the V26 composition guidance uses Omen in its Ascent example.
Do not smoke randomly at the start of a round. Hush’s dash is strongest when the smoke lands immediately before her commitment, while defenders are still deciding whether the hit is real. If Omen smokes too early, defenders can wait out the cover; if he smokes too late, Hush is forced to cross an exposed lane.
Sova: the information initiator
Sova’s recon gives Hush a visible target and a timing window. Fire reconnaissance where it checks the first site pocket or the common anti-entry position, then call the dash only when the scan has either revealed a defender or confirmed that the lane is clear. A shock-dart follow-up can punish a player who stays tucked behind cover, but the essential contribution is information, not damage.
Sova appears in role-balanced examples for Ascent and Haven because his information remains useful whether Hush is attacking a site or taking space for a rotation. On defense, the same recon can identify an early enemy push and let Hush hold her mobility for a counter-engagement.

Killjoy: flank and post-plant insurance
Killjoy protects the part of the map Hush is not attacking. Her turret, alarm and area denial can warn the team when a defender rotates through an unoccupied lane, allowing the entry group to focus forward. After the plant, those tools force opponents to spend time clearing utility instead of instantly retaking.

Place the alarm so that it covers the most likely flank without blocking the route Hush needs to use. When the team changes the hit from one site to another, retrieve or reposition the setup rather than leaving the Sentinel’s value behind on the wrong side of the map.
KAY/O: suppression and flash support
KAY/O supplies the fifth-agent utility that Hush cannot provide herself: suppression and a flash that can start the fight without exposing the Duelist first. Suppression is especially useful when defenders rely on activated stall or information abilities. Throw it just before Hush commits so that the enemy has less time to reactivate utility after the suppression window begins.
The flash should be thrown to turn a known defender into a vulnerable target, not merely to announce the execute. If Sova’s recon finds two players, KAY/O can flash the player who is outside the smoke while Hush dashes toward the revealed or displaced target. That sequence creates two simultaneous problems instead of one defender simply waiting for the smoke to fade.
How to run the default execute
- Clear the approach. Sova checks the first defensive pocket; Omen prepares the smoke that removes the strongest sightline.
- Force a reaction. KAY/O throws suppression or a flash as the smoke blooms. The goal is to make defensive utility unavailable or make the first defender look away.
- Commit Hush. Hush dashes only after the team has identified a target or established that the lane is sufficiently clear. Her displacement utility can move a defender off the plant zone or out of a crossfire.
- Trade immediately. The second player crosses on Hush’s contact instead of waiting for a kill confirmation. A Duelist who creates space but receives no trade has spent the composition’s most valuable resource for little map control.
- Stabilize. Killjoy keeps the flank covered while Omen saves one smoke for the plant or the first retake wave. Sova’s remaining utility is used to delay the retake rather than chase a low-value frag.
Alternative Hush shells
| Shell | When to choose it | Main advantage | Main compromise |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hush / Omen / Sova / Killjoy / KAY/O | Default coordinated attack | Balanced smokes, recon, suppression and post-plant control | Requires disciplined timing between four support players |
| Hush / Omen / Fade / Killjoy / Sova | Information-heavy maps or rounds | Layered tracking and recon can isolate a safe dash target | Loses KAY/O’s direct suppression and flash |
| Hush / Brimstone or Omen / Breach or Fade / Cypher / flex | Tight sites and short-range fights | Fast close-range utility and stronger immediate area pressure | Less universal than the default shell; the flex slot must cover missing information or smokes |
| Hush / Harbor / Sova / Killjoy / flex | Maps where Harbor’s wall creates a clean lane | Protected forward movement through a wall-and-lane setup | Harbor evidence is not Hush-specific and comes from small, patch-sensitive samples |
Information-heavy shell: replace KAY/O with Fade
Hush / Omen / Fade / Killjoy / Sova is for teams that want to know where defenders are before anyone crosses the choke. Fade’s close-range tracking and tether-style pressure complement Hush’s displacement: a tether can limit the escape route of a defender whom Hush has forced out of cover, while Sova checks the next layer of the site.

Tight-map pressure shell
On compact sites, the principle is more important than the exact five agents. Bind-oriented examples favor Brimstone, Breach, Raze, Cypher and Skye-style close-range utility. Adapt that idea around Hush rather than copying another Duelist’s lineup: use a fast smoke or wall, a flash or stun that reaches the first pocket, a Sentinel who warns against the short flank, and a flex player who can trade the entry.
Breach is attractive in this version because a stun or flash can make the first contact predictable. Fade can substitute when tracking a retreating defender is more valuable than a direct crowd-control hit. Cypher is preferable to Killjoy when the team needs earlier warning that a defender is rotating through a narrow route rather than heavier post-plant damage.
Wall-and-lane shell with Harbor
Hush / Harbor / Sova / Killjoy / flex is a map-specific experiment. Harbor’s wall can create a continuous protected lane that lets Hush approach without exposing every defender at once. Sova still supplies the information needed to decide where that lane should end, while Killjoy covers the space the wall does not protect.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsEsports Oracle’s June 2026 duo table lists Harbor/Jett at 72.7% over 22 games and Harbor/Sova at 69.7% over 33 games. Those are small, patch-sensitive samples, they are not Hush statistics, and they do not establish that Harbor is superior to Omen. Treat them as a reason to test the wall-and-lane concept on suitable maps, not as proof of a winning Hush composition.
Controller choices: Omen, Clove, Harbor or Brimstone?
Omen
Choose Omen when the team needs smokes that can support both a direct hit and a late rotation. His flexibility gives Hush more than one credible entry route and allows the Controller to keep utility for the plant or retake.
Clove
Clove is a current flex option for teams that want the Controller slot to remain useful during messy trades. A Patch 12.10 editorial baseline estimated a 56.1% win rate for Clove/Jett/Sova/Killjoy/Fade. That number is an editorial estimate, not a ranked-match measurement, and it does not include Hush; use it only as directional context when considering a Clove-centered flex style.

Harbor
Harbor is worth testing when a wall can connect Hush’s starting position to the plant area without leaving an unavoidable gap. If defenders can simply play around the wall and hold a second angle, Omen’s separate smokes are usually easier to adapt.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Brimstone
Brimstone fits the tight-map version when the execute is short, decisive and planned around a small number of smoke locations. He is less forgiving if the team changes sites late, so pair him with stronger information or a flex player who can call the rotation early.
Initiator choices and their jobs
| Initiator | Best use with Hush | Choose it when |
|---|---|---|
| Sova | Recon before the dash and post-plant information | The team needs a reliable target and timing window on open or multi-level sites |
| Fade | Close-range tracking, tether pressure and layered pursuit | Defenders can hide in several short pockets or escape through tight routes |
| KAY/O | Suppression and flash support during first contact | Defensive utility is the main obstacle to Hush’s entry |
| Breach | Immediate stun or flash pressure in confined spaces | The map turns the first choke into a short-range fight |
Do not select two information agents merely because more scans feel safer. Sova plus Fade can be excellent when the team has a clear plan for each reveal, but their utility should identify different layers or timings. If both are used on the same first pocket, Hush may still enter without a flash or suppression to stop the defender from fighting back.
Sentinel choices: Killjoy or Cypher?
Killjoy for site anchoring and post-plant denial
Killjoy is the default when Hush’s attack is expected to end in a plant that the team must defend. Her utility can make a retake slower and more expensive, and she can hold the opposite side of the map while the entry group concentrates on the hit.
Cypher for earlier flank information
Cypher is the better choice when the key risk is an unseen rotation or a lurker arriving before the plant. His information-and-flank emphasis gives the entry group earlier warning, but it does not replace Killjoy’s heavier post-plant control. Choose based on whether the round is more likely to fail before the plant or after it.

Ascent
The Omen-centered shell is the safest starting point. Use a smoke to divide the main defender sightline, Sova to check the first site pocket, and KAY/O to suppress or flash the player most likely to contest the dash. Keep Killjoy’s flank coverage on the route that remains open after the smoke split.

Haven
Haven’s multiple sites increase the value of information and late rotation. Sova’s recon helps Hush avoid committing to a site with several defenders, while Omen’s flexible smokes preserve the option to rotate. A Fade variant is useful when defenders can retreat through several connected pockets.
Bind and other tight maps
Favor the close-range pressure shell. A fast smoke, Breach or Fade utility and Cypher’s flank warning can make the first choke manageable. Harbor’s wall is worthwhile only when it creates a lane that defenders cannot bypass with a second angle.
Attack versus defense
On attack, spend information and suppression immediately before Hush’s dash. On defense, hold at least one of those tools for the enemy’s first commitment: Hush does not need to dash into a revealed target if she can instead punish a push through a smoke or displacement zone.
Coordinating Hush’s ultimate
Hush’s revealed ultimate lifts all players in an area, so its value depends on placement and follow-up rather than raw damage. Use it to break a clustered defense, interrupt a retake group or separate a planter from the players protecting the site. Call the target area before the ability is used; teammates who are already moving can convert the displacement while opponents are airborne or repositioning.
Omen’s smoke can hide the start of the ultimate, while Sova or Fade identifies the densest group. KAY/O’s suppression is especially useful if the lifted defenders would otherwise recover with activated utility. Do not spend the ultimate solely to move one isolated player unless that displacement wins the plant or a decisive trade.
Common composition mistakes and fixes
- Hush enters before information arrives. Delay the dash until Sova or Fade has checked the first pocket, or use KAY/O’s flash to create a deliberate blind entry.
- Every support ability lands at once. Assign layers: recon first, smoke second, suppression or flash third, then the dash. Holding one tool for the next pocket is often more valuable than stacking all four on the choke.
- No one trades the Duelist. The second player should cross on Hush’s contact, not after a kill notification.
- The flank is ignored. Place Killjoy or Cypher utility before the execute and reposition it when the call changes sites.
- Harbor is selected because of a headline percentage. The 72.7% and 69.7% Harbor pair figures come from small, non-Hush samples. Test the wall on a map where it creates a real lane; otherwise use Omen’s adaptable smokes.
- The team has no post-plant plan. Reserve one smoke, recon dart, alarm or denial tool for the retake instead of spending every ability to enter.
- A second Duelist is added automatically. Hush already supplies the space-making role. A second independent entry can leave the team without information, utility denial or flank protection.
What the available evidence can and cannot prove
Hush was revealed at the 2026 VALORANT Champions grand final and is planned for Season 26 Act VI after the VCT 2026 season. The agent also launches alongside VALORANT’s Agent Mastery system, which adds a dedicated reward track. As of the October 18 reveal, no meaningful Hush-specific pick rate, win rate, professional composition list or map-by-map performance record is available.
That limitation matters: every shell in this guide is based on Hush’s described abilities and established role interactions, not on a measured Hush meta. The Harbor percentages above are duo figures involving Jett or Sova, and the Clove figure is an editorial estimate for a different five-agent lineup. They can inform experiments, but none is a direct forecast of Hush’s results.
Re-evaluate the composition after the October 27 release. Watch whether Hush’s dash reliably crosses the first choke, whether her flash can be redirected without exposing the user, how easily defenders escape her displacement, and whether the lifting ultimate creates a repeatable plant window. Those observations will tell you whether to keep the default Omen shell or move toward Fade, KAY/O, Harbor or a tighter close-range setup.
