Those are capability claims, not a guarantee that every game will render at 4K and 144Hz. The TV or monitor must support the mode, the HDMI cable must have adequate bandwidth, and the game and X20 output settings must select a compatible resolution and refresh rate. A 1080p television, an older HDMI input or a game that is limited to a lower frame rate will remain the limiting factor.
Power requirement: why the dock needs a separate charger
The DG310 does not include a charger. ASUS support says that a USB-C PD charger rated at 100W or higher is recommended to reach the dock’s full 80W output.
