The best 32-inch smart TV depends on what matters most to you: Full HD resolution, a particular smart-TV interface, a lower-cost option, or a less common 4K screen. These five examples cover those trade-offs, but they are not a universal ranking: several are tied to a specific market, and exact features can vary by model number and region.
The model details and pros and cons below are attributed to TechRadar’s buying guide, not to independent testing for this article. Roku’s product range is described using Roku’s official support information. Check the exact local SKU, price, stock, and app availability before buying.

The models below differ in resolution, platform, and intended market. TechRadar’s editorial picks are not a guarantee that the same model or specification is available where you live.

TechRadar lists the panel and format details for the first four examples. Roku’s official support page confirms that the Select Series HD comes in 24-, 32-, and 40-inch sizes, but describes a range rather than a single 32-inch specification. Roku says voice remotes are included on 2025-and-later models in the series; verify what comes with the particular set you are considering.

LG 32LQ6300: a Full HD all-rounder example
TechRadar highlights this model’s picture, gaming performance, and better-than-expected audio. Its guide also notes a cluttered home menu and some black-uniformity issues. Those are the guide’s assessments, not findings from a test conducted for this article.
Amazon Fire TV 2-Series: a US budget example
TechRadar lists this 32-inch set with a 720p LED panel and Fire TV. The guide describes its positioning as low-cost and its built-in sound as decent, while flagging inconsistent picture quality and potentially laggy navigation. The guide’s prices are not current pricing; check local listings for today’s price and availability.

TCL S5400: a UK budget example
TechRadar lists the 32-inch S5400 with a 1080p LCD panel and Google TV. Treat this as a UK-market example rather than assuming that the same model name, platform, or specification applies elsewhere.

TechRadar lists the 32-inch Q60D as a 4K QLED model with Tizen and HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG. Its guide praises detail and color but notes a higher price and thin sound. Confirm the full model code and local specification: regional naming and features can differ.

Roku Select Series HD: choose by exact SKU
Roku’s official support information confirms a 32-inch size in the Select Series HD range, but the series includes different resolutions and HDR is available only on select SKUs. Roku-branded televisions and televisions made by other manufacturers that use Roku software are separate product lines; use the manufacturer and full model number to identify the set you are buying.
How to choose between HD, Full HD, and 4K
At 32 inches, the examples span 720p, 1080p, and 4K. TechRadar notes that few televisions at this size offer 4K, making the Q60D an exception among the models listed here. A higher resolution can provide more detail, but it does not by itself guarantee a better picture. Compare the exact native resolution and HDR formats for the specific SKU, rather than relying on a series name or a general label such as “HDR.”

For a small or secondary room, consider how you will use the TV and what content you watch. If you mainly stream, a platform with your preferred services may matter more than the highest resolution on paper. Confirm that the apps you need are available in your country.

Choose the smart-TV platform around your apps
These examples use five different interfaces: webOS, Fire TV, Google TV, Tizen, and Roku OS. There is no single best platform for every viewer. Check which services you use, whether their apps are available in your region, and whether you find the interface comfortable to navigate. A platform name alone does not establish that every app or feature is available on every regional model.

Is a 32-inch TV suitable for a bedroom or kitchen?
A 32-inch set can be a practical size for a bedroom, kitchen, or guest room, rather than a substitute for a large main-room screen. Samsung describes its 32-inch class televisions as suitable for secondary rooms including those spaces. On its US product page, Samsung gives 0.98 m (3.2 ft) as an optimal viewing distance for a 32-inch class TV. Treat that as Samsung’s guidance for its product range, not as a universal viewing rule.
Check sound and installation before you buy
Sound
Built-in audio varies: TechRadar describes the LG’s sound as better than expected and the Amazon set’s as decent, but flags thin sound on the Samsung Q60D. If you want clearer dialogue or fuller sound, a soundbar is an optional addition, not a requirement. Check the TV’s available audio connections and the accessory’s compatibility before choosing one.
Wall mounting
Before ordering a mount, check the exact TV’s dimensions, weight, VESA mounting pattern, and viewing angles against the mount instructions. Do not assume that a mount fits because the television is 32 inches; size alone does not establish compatibility.
