There is no single objectively best 24-inch LED TV for every buyer. The right choice depends first on your country, then on the complete model number, Full HD versus another resolution, the smart-TV platform and apps you need, available inputs, and whether the stand or wall mount will fit your space.
For 2026, the clearest current starting point is LG’s 24-inch LB70 FHD Smart TV family: model 24LB7000PUA is listed for the United States, while the United Kingdom listing uses 24LB70006LA. They are different regional identifiers, not interchangeable suffixes. Other compact televisions can be useful leads, but verify every specification, price, and stock status on the exact local listing before buying.
What “best 24-inch LED TV” should mean
A 24-inch screen is usually chosen because a larger television will not fit, not because the buyer wants a flagship home-cinema display. At this size, small specification differences can matter more than a general brand ranking. A TV that fits your shelf, accepts the devices you own, runs the streaming services you use, and is actually available in your country is a better purchase than a supposedly higher-ranked model that fails one of those tests.

Treat the choices below as a market-specific buying guide rather than a lab-tested ranking. Manufacturer pages establish model names and selected specifications; secondary coverage can identify possible alternatives, but its prices and feature claims require confirmation.

The table separates confirmed manufacturer information from unverified secondary references. A 2026 label describes the model listing; it does not guarantee broad retail availability, a particular picture quality, or a lower price.
Step 1: Match the complete model number to your country
Start with geography, not the screen size. Regional televisions can share a family name while using different tuners, software, accessories, energy labels, warranty arrangements, or retailer inventory. The two LB70 listings demonstrate the issue: the United States model is 24LB7000PUA, while the United Kingdom model is 24LB70006LA.
- Set the buying country. Use the retailer, electrical standard, streaming catalog, and warranty market where the TV will operate.
- Copy the entire model identifier. Include every letter and number after the screen-size family name. Do not search only for “24-inch LB70.”
- Compare the seller’s identifier with the manufacturer’s regional page. A matching family name with a different suffix is a reason to stop and investigate, not assume equivalence.
- Check the tuner and power requirements in the local specification sheet. These details are especially important for imported sets and are not established by screen size alone.
- Confirm the return and warranty policy. A gray-market import may have no local service coverage even if the panel and menus look similar.
Use the exact identifier again when checking accessories, replacement remotes, firmware, wall mounts, or spare parts. Search results often group several regional variants under one headline.

Step 2: Verify the actual resolution
“24-inch LED” describes the display size and backlight category, not the number of pixels. The official Philips example is explicitly Full HD at 1,920 × 1,080 pixels. Both regional LB70 listings are described as FHD. That is useful evidence, but it is not a rule that every 24-inch LED TV is Full HD.
Why Full HD matters at 24 inches
Full HD gives a 16:9 image with 1,920 horizontal by 1,080 vertical pixels. At a desk, kitchen counter, bedroom shelf, or small lounge viewing distance, the extra detail can make text, menus, game interfaces, and high-definition broadcasts look cleaner than a lower-resolution panel. It also matches the native output of many inexpensive streaming devices, game consoles, laptops, and set-top boxes.
How to check a listing correctly
- Look for an explicit value such as “1,920 × 1,080” or “Full HD/FHD,” not just “HD LED.”
- Confirm that the resolution belongs to the exact model suffix and local edition.
- Check whether a retailer has copied a specification from a larger or older model in the same product family.
- For a computer connection, verify the supported input resolution and refresh rate in the detailed manual or specification sheet.
If a listing does not state resolution clearly, treat it as “not established” until the manufacturer or a reliable local specification document confirms it. Do not infer it from the diagonal measurement or the word “smart.”

- CRISP CLARITY: This 23.8″ Philips V line monitor delivers crisp Full HD 1920x1080 visuals. Enjoy movies, shows and videos with remarkable detail
- INCREDIBLE CONTRAST: The VA panel produces brighter whites and deeper blacks. You get true-to-life images and more gradients with 16.7 million colors
- THE PERFECT VIEW: The 178/178 degree extra wide viewing angle prevents the shifting of colors when viewed from an offset angle, so you always get consistent colors
- WORK SEAMLESSLY: This sleek monitor is virtually bezel-free on three sides, so the screen looks even bigger for the viewer. This minimalistic design also allows for seamless multi-monitor setups that enhance your workflow and boost productivity
- A BETTER READING EXPERIENCE: For busy office workers, EasyRead mode provides a more paper-like experience for when viewing lengthy documents
Step 3: Choose the smart platform around your services
Smart features are valuable only when the TV supports the services and control method you actually use. The UK LB70 listing identifies webOS and streaming services. A secondary guide mentions Fire TV and Roku TV examples, but the current model identifiers, prices, and feature details for those references have not been independently verified here.

- Are the streaming apps you need available in your country on this platform?
- Does the television support the account sign-in, subtitles, audio languages, and parental controls your household requires?
- Will the TV receive software updates for the period you expect to use it?
- Is the remote comfortable for entering passwords and switching between HDMI sources?
- Can you connect an external streaming stick if an app is missing or later discontinued?
Regional app catalogs can differ even when two televisions use the same platform name. Check the local product page and, when possible, the platform’s current app availability for your country. Do not assume that a US app list applies in the UK or elsewhere.
Built-in smart TV versus an external streamer
A built-in platform keeps the setup tidy and usually provides a single remote for power, volume, inputs, and apps. An external streamer can extend the useful life of a TV whose built-in software is slow or missing an app, but it consumes an HDMI input and may require a separate power adapter and remote. Check the TV’s available HDMI ports before choosing this fallback.
Step 4: Audit inputs and connections
Ports determine whether the TV will work with your existing equipment. The Philips 24PFS6855/12 page documents HDMI inputs, but that fact cannot be transferred to an LG model or any other television. Confirm the exact port count and version for the model you intend to buy.
Make an equipment list
- Streaming stick or set-top box
- Game console
- Laptop or desktop computer
- Blu-ray or DVD player
- Soundbar, headphones, or powered speakers
- Antenna, cable box, or satellite receiver
- USB storage or a camera, if you need media playback
Count one HDMI port for each device that will remain connected. If the number is tight, decide whether you are willing to swap cables, add an HDMI switch, or use an external streamer. Verify that the TV supports the audio return or digital-audio connection required by your sound system; a generic “HDMI” label does not prove every HDMI feature is present.
Connection checklist
- Open the exact model’s “Specifications,” “Manual,” or “Downloads” page.
- Record the number of HDMI ports and their locations.
- Check for antenna or broadcast-tuner input if you plan to watch local channels.
- Check USB, optical audio, headphone, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi details against your equipment.
- Confirm whether any required cable is included. If not stated, budget for one without assuming the box contains it.
Step 5: Measure the physical installation
A 24-inch diagonal does not tell you the television’s total width, height, depth, bezel size, or stand spread. Measure the furniture and compare it with the manufacturer’s dimensional drawing for the exact suffix.

For a stand installation
- Measure the usable shelf width and depth, including any rear cable channel.
- Check the distance between the feet, not just the TV’s overall width.
- Allow room for the power plug, HDMI connectors, ventilation, and access to side-mounted ports.
- Check the stand’s weight rating and whether the feet are reversible or height-adjustable.
For a wall mount
- Confirm the exact VESA mounting pattern, screw size, and maximum supported weight from the model’s manual.
- Check that the mount is rated for the TV’s weight and screen size.
- Plan cable clearance so plugs are not forced against the wall.
- Do not use the Philips model’s documented specifications as proof that an LG set has the same mount pattern or weight.
Mounting accessories should be selected only after the TV’s own dimensions, weight, VESA pattern, and included hardware are confirmed.
Step 6: Check availability and price at the time you buy
Product pages and retail inventory change. The Philips manufacturer page explicitly says the 24PFS6855/12 is no longer available, so its attractive Full HD specification does not make it a current recommendation. Remaining stock, refurbished units, and second-hand listings need separate checks for condition, warranty, dead pixels, remote control, and return rights.
No current price, deal, or inventory level is established for the LG models or the secondary-guide examples here. Treat a price shown by a search result as a momentary quote, not a durable specification. Before checkout:
- Confirm that the seller ships to your country and supplies the correct regional model.
- Check the listing’s model field, not only the title or product photograph.
- Read the stated delivery date, return period, warranty provider, and condition.
- Compare the seller’s dimensions and ports with the manufacturer’s specification sheet.
- Save a copy of the order confirmation showing the exact identifier.
Buyer profiles: which specification should lead?
Small bedroom or guest-room TV
Prioritize a narrow stand footprint, simple remote, reliable local streaming apps, and low standby complexity. Full HD is useful for subtitles and close viewing, but physical fit and platform availability usually matter more than a marginal picture-processing feature.
Kitchen or occasional-use screen
Prioritize viewing angle, easy source switching, a stand that remains stable on a shallow counter, and a local tuner or streaming method that does not require repeated sign-ins. Verify that ventilation and cable clearance are practical in the intended location.
Desk monitor replacement
Check the computer input resolution, text clarity, refresh-rate support, and whether the stand allows a comfortable eye level. A television can work as a display, but menus, overscan controls, chroma handling, and sleep behavior vary by model.

Console or casual gaming screen
Confirm the console’s output resolution, HDMI input capabilities, game mode, and audio arrangement. The available information does not establish input lag for any model, so do not buy based on a gaming ranking that lacks a measured test.

Wall-mounted compact TV
Lead with VESA pattern, weight, screw depth, cable direction, and viewing height. A model that fits the screen-size requirement may still fail because its mounting holes or rear connectors conflict with the bracket or wall.

Setup after delivery
- Inspect before mounting. Check the carton, screen, stand, remote, power cable, and stated accessories for damage or omissions.
- Record the model label. Photograph the rear label or settings screen so you can verify the delivered suffix.
- Install the stand or bracket using the supplied instructions. Do not substitute screws by length or appearance.
- Connect the antenna, network, and HDMI devices. Leave access to the ports needed for future changes.
- Run the initial setup for the correct country. Region settings affect broadcast tuning, language, privacy choices, and app availability.
- Update software before evaluating the interface. A first-run update can change menus or add app support.
- Test every source. Verify picture, sound, remote control, subtitles, and automatic input switching.
- Check the return deadline. Keep packaging until you have completed the basic panel and connection checks.
Common buying mistakes and fixes
Mistaking the family name for the model
Symptom: The retailer listing says LB70, but the suffix differs from the manufacturer page. Fix: Match the complete identifier and country before paying.
Assuming every 24-inch TV is Full HD
Symptom: The listing says “LED” or “HD” without a pixel count. Fix: Require an explicit resolution in the exact specification sheet.
Buying an unavailable older model
Symptom: The manufacturer page labels the set no longer available. Fix: Treat it as an example or used-market candidate and verify stock, condition, warranty, and returns separately.

Trusting a secondary ranking as a test result
Symptom: A guide presents Fire TV or Roku options with prices or rankings that cannot be confirmed on a current official page. Fix: Use the names as leads, then verify the local model number and specifications yourself.
Discovering too late that a device needs another port
Symptom: A streamer, console, and sound device exceed the available HDMI connections. Fix: Count ports before purchase and decide whether an HDMI switch or different setup is acceptable.
Ordering a mount by screen size alone
Symptom: The bracket’s holes or screws do not match the TV. Fix: Confirm VESA pattern, weight, screw specification, and cable clearance from the exact manual.

For a United States buyer, begin by checking LG model 24LB7000PUA on the current US listing. For a United Kingdom buyer, begin with LG model 24LB70006LA; its listing identifies FHD, webOS, streaming services, and energy grade E. Neither model should be treated as automatically interchangeable with the other, and neither is established here as the objectively best-performing television.
If you are considering the Philips 24PFS6855/12, its documented 1,920 × 1,080 panel and HDMI inputs are useful reference points, but the manufacturer marks it no longer available. Insignia F20 Series Fire TV and TCL 3-Series Roku TV references may help you form a shortlist, yet their current prices and specifications require local official-page verification. The winning purchase is the exact regional model that passes the resolution, apps, ports, dimensions, mounting, availability, warranty, and return checks.
